This master‘s thesis puts forth a new design of a cruise ship. The goal of this work was to combine modern functional and technological elements with an innovative visual appearance while using high quality materials. Emphasis was given to the simplicity, comfort, and especially safety of the vessel control and convenience for the passengers.
Products of Cruise Tourism in Tourism Market

The target of the bachelor thesis is to analyze cruise tourism, identify key aspects of the success of these products at customers and suggest marketing solutions for cruise tourism service providers. The literature search describes the basic concepts of tourism, international tourism and the advantages of shipping. This section also describes the significant effects of cruise ships on the economy as well as the positive and negative environmental impacts of cruise ships. The practical part of the bachelor's thesis uses the results of the analysis of the offer of travel agencies that specialize in the sale of cruises in the Czech Republic and the complete services connected with these cruises. Here is also describes the equipment of cruise ships and the most visiting destinations to which they sail. This section includes a client satisfaction survey with cruises, the results of this survey and recommendations for travel agencies to eliminace the negative aspects of the survey.

The project for the use regional inland waterway transport for tourism

The main aim of this thesis was to analyze evaluate the possibility of using regional inland waterway transport for tourism. The thesis dealt with the newly navigable Vltava in South Bohemia, which was part of the state project "Completion of Vltava waterway in the section Ceske Budejovice - Tyn nad Vltavou". It was elaborate the situation analysis and realization of own exploration by means of structured interviews and survey. Based on the obtained data were created proposals to improve current situation. The main contribution of this thesis is the efficient interconnection of these suggestions would significantly increase the attractiveness of the whole idea navigable Vltava river for tourism. The most important output of the thesis is the elaboration of the project "Modernization of steamers on the Vltava river in South Bohemia".
Cruise industry - analysis, role and potential of cruises in the tourism industry

This final thesis deals with cruises and cruise line industry in general. The first chapter describes cruises and highlights their particulars. The second chapter analyzes all the available statistics (secondary data) that depict the role of cruise line industry in the field of tourism (fleet, cruise lines, passengers, destinations, ports, economic impact). As for the primary research, I created a questionnaire to determine the requirements of respondents for an ideal cruise. I have conducted a mystery shopping, together with a personal interview with an employee of an travel agent's to analyze the state of the market and the sale of cruises both in Czech and Slovak Republic. The last chapter discusses the current and future trends in the cruise industry. The results of this thesis confirm the hypothesis that Czech Republic and Slovakia have the potential to attract customers and bring potential customers.
