Vibrodiagnostics of electrical machines
Petráček, Samuel ; Cipín, Radoslav (referee) ; Janda, Marcel (advisor)
This bachelor's thesis deals with getting to know vibrations and their description. What types of vibrations occur, what are their parameters, such as deflection or acceleration, and a slightly described frequency analysis for non-harmonic signals. Subsequently, the sources of vibrations in electric rotating machines are described. Types of vibration sources are described here, for example of mechanical origin or on the bearing. The causes of their occurrence are, for example, rotor imbalance, rotor misalignment or mechanical loosening. And their subsequent effect on the machine in axial and radial directions. Furthermore, the Crest Factor measurement method and a summary of other diagnostic methods of vibrodiagnostics such as Envelope Analysis and Kurtosis Factor are described. For what purposes these methods are used and their advantages and disadvantages. In the practical part, 4 asynchronous motors were measured with prerequisites for faults with rotor eccentricity. The effective values of the vibrations and the Crest Factor were calculated here, followed by a frequency analysis using FFT (Fast Fourier Transform). In the end, the resulting data were evaluated.
Modern approaches in the analysis and evaluation of vibrations in machines and equipment
Mikuš, Juraj ; Poliščuk, Radek (referee) ; Hammer, Miloš (advisor)
The thesis focuses on modern approaches in technical diagnostics. As a part of the implementation, an online monitoring system SIPLUS CMS1200 was programmed. The measured data were transferred using the FTP protocol to a local server. The analysis of the measured data was conducted using CMS X-Tools software. The result of the work is a functional monitoring system that continuously monitors the machine's condition while keeping the operator informed about the current state of the monitored variables. This system helps to prevent unplanned downtime and also financial losses.
Turbocharger Rotor Balancing
Šárovec, Marek ; Zubík, Martin (referee) ; Knotek, Jiří (advisor)
This bachelor’s thesis is specialized search dealing with issues of turbocharger rotor balancing. This work is divided into three main parts. First part deals with history of turbocharger and basics of turbocharger construction. Second part talks about types of unbalance and how to balance. Also, there is description of balancing machines. Last part depends on previous part because there is application of balancing on automotive turbocharger.
Simulator of typical rotational machinery components faults
Vaľko, Matej ; Beneš, Petr (referee) ; Čala, Martin (advisor)
The objective of this thesis is to create a library in programming environment LabVIEW by company National Instruments, which objective is to simulate vibrations of different mechanical components, such as shaft, rolling element bearings, plain gearing and planetary gearbox in different circumstances and failures. The theoretical part contains information about typical failures of this mechanical components and their typical failure frequencies obtained from literature. In the description of theoretical part is inscripted simulator with user interface in already mentioned programming environment LabVIEW. Result of this thesis is library, which images time course of vibrations and spectral analysis for diffrent components with their respective failures.
Vibrodiagnostics of electrical machines
Boháček, Daniel ; Vítek, Ondřej (referee) ; Janda, Marcel (advisor)
This thesis deals with methods of vibration analysis in electric rotating machines. From the beginning, it is necessary to explain the basic concepts and introduce the issue of vibration. Next time, the work is focused on sources of vibration in electrical machines. Defects on electric rotating machines causing vibrations are described. Sensing is performed using sensors of deflection, speed and acceleration. The measured signal needs to be adjusted and filters, approximations and sampling will cover this in the next chapter. The main objective is the methods of analysis, which include the best known in the field of frequency analysis (FFT) and the envelope method in the time domain. This includes other methods such as Kurtosis factor, Crest factor, etc. There is also a basic block diagram for measuring vibrations. This block diagram is programmed and has a graphical user interface. The last part is an evaluation of the measured data of the engines.
Voltage quality index for distribution systems voltage quality benchmarking
Hausner, Josef ; Topolánek, David (referee) ; Drápela, Jiří (advisor)
This Master’s thesis deals with design of a new method for voltage quality benchmarking using voltage quality index. This index should determinate total voltage quality in the power grid and compare voltage quality in different places. There is design of several algorithms which value measured parameters in this thesis. The best suitable algorithm is selected. Program for this algorithm was compiled in GUI Matlab. The algorithm is verified by using measured parameters in this program. The last part of this thesis is focused on possible usage of created algorithm.
Vibrodiagnostics of rotating machines
Honc, Lukáš ; Havránek, Zdeněk (referee) ; Beneš, Petr (advisor)
This bachelor's thesis deals with vibrodiagnostics of rotating machines focusing on unbalance of rigid shafts. The purpose of the thesis has been designing, realization and practical verifying of measurement algorithm and program for balancing of rigid shafts in one and two planes. The prerequisite has been to use hardware of National Instruments company and software LabVIEW. In first chapters, reader will read about characteristics of vibrations measured on rotating machines, their sources and analysis. Next chapters focus on measurement and analysis of data, balancing and its realization.
Balancing Rotors of Steam Turbines
Filip, Patrik ; Šnajdárek, Ladislav (referee) ; Kracík, Petr (advisor)
This bachelor’s thesis is a technical research dealing with issues of balancing turbine rotors and generally describing international standarts commonly used for balancing rotors. The first part is about unbalance in general context. The next part classifies types of rotors, standarts for balancing rotors and balancing methods. Then there is a description of a balancing device. The last part of this thesis includes a step by step process of balancing a specific rotor.
Vibration analysis using modern online systems
Marek, Vojtěch ; Poliščuk, Radek (referee) ; Hammer, Miloš (advisor)
The diploma thesis solves the issue of vibration analysis using on-line systems. A model of a rotating machine was programmed for implementation, on which the data was subsequently measured. The solution was the analysis of experimental problems for the unbalance of the machine and the determination of the exact defect on the bearing. Different diagnostic methods and environments of the CMS X-Tools analysis application were used to obtain the results. The main result is a functional monitoring system that permanently monitors the condition of the machine and, if necessary, the operator is able to determine the exact failure of the device after analyzing the obtained data. By introducing on-line monitoring systems, major downtime and associated financial losses can be avoided.
