Evaluation of Selected Biomechanical Parameters in Triple Jump
Sivila, Siddartha Humberto ; Hojka, Vladimír (advisor) ; Kaplan, Aleš (referee)
Bachelor thesis title: Evaluation of selected biomechanical parameters in triple jump Prepared by: Siddartha Humberto Sivila Supervisor of the bachelor thesis: Mgr. Vladimír Hojka, Ph.D. Aims of the thesis: The aim of the thesis was to determine the correlation between individual phases and overall performance in the triple jump, whether approach speed is an influencing factor, and if there is any correlation between performance and ground contact time in individual phases. Methodology: This study focused on utilizing the method of secondary analysis and correlation comparison to identify relationships and trends in data obtained from the Championship of Czech Republic, published on the website of the Czech Athletic Association. Results: The research demonstrated that the most decisive role in triple jump performance is determined by the hop phase, followed by the step phase. 18,8 % of the triple jump performance can be explained by the approach speed. Keywords: athletics, triple jump, analysis, evaluation, biomechanics, performance.
Evaluation of selected biomechanical parameter's in triple jump
Sivila, Siddartha Humberto ; Kaplan, Aleš (advisor) ; Hojka, Vladimír (referee)
Bachelor thesis title: Evaluation of selected biomechanical parameters in triple jump Prepared by: Siddartha Humberto Sivila Supervisor of the bachelor thesis: Doc. PhDr. Ales Kaplan, Ph.D., MBA. Aims of the thesis: The aim of the bachelor's thesis was to evaluate selected biomechanical parameters of medalists from the Czech Republic Triple Jump Championships in recent years. The thesis focused on analyzing the performances of Czech triple jumpers, approach velocities, lengths of individual jumps, and ground contact times. An additional objective was to examine the relationship between ground contact time and speed loss, in order to determine whether the statement holds true that shorter ground contact time results in lesser speed loss. Methodology: The research utilized a method of analysis and comparison based on data obtained from the website of the Czech Athletics Federation. Foreign scientific articles and Czech literature were used to enhance understanding. Comparisons were conducted between the indoor and outdoor seasons. Performance comparisons were made among individual jumpers occupying medal positions. Additionally, a comparison was made between the indoor and outdoor seasons. Results: To achieve medal positions in the indoor season, in recent years it was necessary to achieve...
Methodology of the measurement speed approach at jumping events
Wagner, Štěpán ; Feher, Jan (advisor) ; Hojka, Vladimír (referee)
Title: Methodology of the measurement of the speed approach at jumping events Objectives: The objective of this thesis is to provide the methodology of measuring the approach speed using a radar, a camera and a photocell. It also aims to compare the individual devices for measuring the approach speed (the camera, the photocell, the radar) and to state their advantages and disadvantages. Last but not least, the thesis will define usage of data from measuring for the purposes of coaching practice. Methods: In my thesis I used the document analysis method. I used foreign publication as well as Czech literature as my sources. The foreign sources consisted mainly of specialized magazine articles or online publications focused on the topic of measuring the approach speed and the athletic event of jumping. As for the Czech literature, it comprised mainly of books about the athletic event of jumping. Gathered information was used during the experiment itself and during data assessment. Results: The difference among the individual devices can be clearly seen from the results, the recorded times differed by 0,01-0,02 s. The difference is noticeable even in the methodology of measuring and in data assessment. At the end, it was determined according to the coaching criteria, which device is the most suitable...
Performance development of the triple jump
Veselý, Tomáš ; Krátký, Petr (advisor) ; Vindušková, Jitka (referee)
Title: Performance development of the triple jump Objectives: The aim of this work is observation and analysis of the performance in the triple jump. The work discusses the development in the world records in the triple jump, the development of triple jumpers on the top-level competitions such as OG, WC, EC, and the observation of the developmental trends in the years between 2000 - 2010 of the top ten, thirty and fifty triple jumpers in the world. The secondary aim is to investigate different factors, that influence the triple jumper's performance. Methods: In this thesis was used a method of analysis and a method of comparison. The analysis of the development in the triple jump's performance proceed from the observation of the development in the world records in the years 1911 - 2011. The comparison of the performance proceed from the performance of medallists in the contemporary OG between the years 1896 - 2008, then in the WC between the years 1983 - 2009 and in the EC organised between 1934 - 2010. The method of analysis and the method of comparison was applied for the top fifty triple jumpers in the world in each year between 2000 - 2010 as well. In these aforementioned periods we assessed the change in the performance depending on different factors. Results: In conclusion, it was found out...
