City Traffic Simulation
Švéda, Pavel ; Švub, Miroslav (referee) ; Chudý, Peter (advisor)
This Master's Thesis deals with the possibilities for the practical usage of traffic simulations as tools for seeking solutions to various kinds of problems such as road traffic flow, the environmental impact of traffic, etc. It contains a description of the basic terms in the area of traffic simulation models, advantages of their practical usage, and furthermore, it describes the basic general methods of and attitudes to the most commonly used traffic simulations. In the second part, the analysis and the design of an original micro traffic simulator are included. Finally, the traffic simulator is implemented and tested on a real traffic situation.
Editor for Traffic Simulator
Malaník, Michal ; Snášelová, Petra (referee) ; Rozman, Jaroslav (advisor)
The aim of this work is to create an editor of intersections with a graphical user interface for Brno traffic simulator. As an input of the editor is used file of geographic data, which is downloaded from the freely available database of server OpenStreetMap. At first are in downloaded geographic data detected intersections. The detection is performed using a detector, which was also created within this work. Editor then allows to edit the intersections to be as much as possible accurate. This process involves modeling the number of lanes, layout and types of traffic lights and also traffic detectors and many other real-world objects. The edited data are then made available in the form of an output file in XML format and are hereby provided for the traffic simulator.
Editor and Simulator of Traffic by Cellular Automata
Vašátko, Libor ; Zbořil, František (referee) ; Žák, Jakub (advisor)
This thesis deals with cellular automata, mainly with their application in traffic simulation. Existing simulation models Nagel-Schreckenberg and Brake-light are analyzed, and their extension to simulate intersections is designed. Application for editing and simulating of any intersection is designed and implemented. This application allows to compare different simulation models also allows to add new simulation model created by user. In the end, designed extension for simulation models is tested.
Traffic Simulation Models
Švéda, Pavel ; Rozman, Jaroslav (referee) ; Grulich, Lukáš (advisor)
This thesis deals with traffic simulation models and their implementation. Traffic simulations are sorted into types by characteristic attributes. It shows how to model car behaviour by using Car-Following, Line-Changing and Gap-Acceptance models. In the second part the analysis and implementation of urban traffic simulator are described.
City Traffic Simulator
Dostál, Martin ; Dalecký, Štěpán (referee) ; Rozman, Jaroslav (advisor)
This thesis is focused on microsimulation of city traffic, specifically a small city circuit in Brno. The thesis describes approaches for solving the problem of road network representation and presents basic methods and models needed for traffic simulation on the level of individual vehicles control as well as on the level of simulator control. In the case of more possible solutions to the given problem, the features and suitability of these solutions are compared. In the practical part of the thesis, the structure of the proposed simulator is presented with all the dependencies among individual submodels, along with the description of implementation details related to the individual parts.
Microscopic Traffic Simulation Model Calibration
Pokorný, Pavel ; Minařík, Miloš (referee) ; Korček, Pavol (advisor)
This thesis main focus is microscopic traffic sumulation. Part of this work is the design and implementation of microsimulation model based on cellular automaton. Implemented model supports calibration with genetic algorithm. The results of calibration and simulations are included.
Proposal of Traffic Management in Smart Cities
Schimmer, Jiří ; Mašek, Pavel (referee) ; Fujdiak, Radek (advisor)
Thesis deals with parts of telemetry in traffic, functionality of these parts and their effectiveness and improvement. Thesis also includes simulation environment of four crossroads and implemented responsive Dijkstra´s algorithm for searching the shortest path. In simulation environment are setup static values of the intervals on traffic lights. There is also implemented genetic algorithm, which is in part of optimization looking for more accurate timing solution for different amount of cars.
Editor for City Traffic Simulator
Mariani, Juraj ; Janoušek, Vladimír (referee) ; Rozman, Jaroslav (advisor)
This thesis looks into modification of geographical data from the OpenStreetMap database represented in an XML format. The software serves mainly for editing traffic signals and road properties, e.g. the speed limit or the number of available lanes. I solved the selected problem by extracting relevant input data and by subsequent intersection detection. The apperance and properties of roads and intersections can be modified at will in a graphical user interface. The created software is aimed to enable modification of road and intersection features by easy-to-use and intuitive controls, without the need to remember feature names and format. The output data are stored back to a file in an XML format and are compatible with city traffic simulators working with OSM data.
City Traffic Simulator
Hos, Adam ; Janoušek, Vladimír (referee) ; Rozman, Jaroslav (advisor)
Traffic simulation is one of the many ways to gain new information or corroborate existing claims about transport infrastructure. This thesis is aimed at describing this issue with a detailed focus on urban traffic microsimulation. It analyzes obtaining a description of the traffic network from electronic map format, creating a simulation reality from this information, and various models for controlling the actions of agents representing drivers in vehicles. As there are a large number of methods and validated techniques to achieve this goal, they are compared and the most appropriate ones, for the context of this work, are implemented. Based on the acquired knowledge a simulator with a graphical interface has been developed.
