It is a psychological short story that describes a partnership between the main character - a noname woman, and her partner - Filip. Filip likes drinking alcohol and frequently he drinks too much so that he is not able to walk home on his own. Unfortunately it is not the only problem in their partnership. The main character leaves every week to work in the city of Jihlava and thus they can only see each other at weekends. The Profile of Contemporary Publisher:HOST
Lukášová, Barbora ; Halada, Jan (advisor) ; Čeňková, Jana (referee)
In this thesis I try to outline running and production of the contemporary publishing house Host. The publishing house Host was established in 1990s' but the magazine Host, whose legacy the publishing house carries, has been working for several decades. The publishing house Host and the magazine Host have been coexisting simultaneously and shared almost the same editorial team. For that reason it is not quite possible to separate one from the other. In the first part of this thesis I introduce the initial existential period of the magazine Host from 1920s' to its samizdat publication in 1980s'. In the next part I try to ouline the beginning of the publishing house Host leaded by Dušan Skála in early 1990s'. The current shape of the publishing house and the magazine has been formed since the second half of 1990s' under the leadership of Tomáš Reichel and Miroslav Balaštík. In the main part of my thesis I try to describe the contemporary work of the publishing house Host which I make mostly through its book production. I also try to point out the transformation of the publishing house Host from a narrowly focused publishing house to a publishing house whose production can excite even a mass readerʼs interests. The aim of my thesis is primarily to introduce comprehensive description of publishing...

Not only does Jirka correspond with Karel, his friend, but also his girlfriend confides Jirka's behavior to her friend Šárka. Jirka gets himself into a difficult position between two women. They then resolve the situation for him - both abandon him. In the second part of the thesis - reflection - the circumstances of the work's origin are discussed and particular aspects of the novel are reflected. In addition to the plot construction, character configuration and their characteristics the main focus is on the meaning of the work, and due to which the work's conclusion and the title have suffered. Coping with the form of emails, which is used in the novel, is also taken into consideration and the inclusion of the text into the genre of women's literature.
