Difuzní vlastnosti OSB desek v důsledku zasažení nadměrnou vlhkostí.
Žižková, Lucie ; Vertal', Marián (referee) ; Chybík, Josef (referee) ; Bečkovský, David (advisor)
The presented dissertation focuses on the change of diffusion properties in oriented strand board (OSB) panels after exposure to excessive moisture. OSB panels undergo a change in their diffusion properties after being affected by excessive moisture and subsequently dried, causing them to deviate from the original design of the wooden wall structure. The aim of this study is to describe the experimentally measured change in diffusion properties and incorporate it into the composition of a real wooden wall structure, evaluating its performance through computer simulation. The introduction of the dissertation provides the theoretical basis for the experimental section, which includes measurements of water absorption, diffusion properties, and the risk of mold growth. The experimental section describes the approaches and methods used to achieve the objectives of the dissertation. The measurements were conducted on test samples of OSB panels in the laboratories of the Institute of Civil Engineering. After being exposed to excessive moisture, the test samples were dried using two drying methods. The dried test samples were placed in testing assemblies, where diffusion was measured using the dry cup method. The measurements were carried out in two stages, with more than 80 samples measured in each research stage. In the final part, the measurements are evaluated through graphs. The change in diffusion properties was then incorporated into the composition of a real wooden wall structure and assessed using computer simulation, which is more commonly used in practice according to ČSN 73 0540 (Czech Technical Standard).
Diagnostic methods for the evaluation of the state of a timber structure
Balas, Ondřej ; Anton, Ondřej (referee) ; Heřmánková, Věra (advisor)
This thesis is focused on the description and evaluation of selected diagnostic methods used for a survey of timber structures in the field. The first part of the thesis describes a structure and characteristics of wood; the other part provides a description of diagnostic methods followed by determination a level of injury and verification material characteristics of the particular element in the timber structure. The main aim of the thesis is to compare the diagnostic methods for the evaluation of the state of timber structures and verification of their application in practice.
Study of static behaviour of selected agricultural objects
Horský, Vojtěch ; Zídek, Rostislav (referee) ; Brdečko, Luděk (advisor)
This thesis deals with the study of static behavior of agricultural buildings, evaluating their existing state using two-dimensional and three-dimensional construction models. Elements that serve to improve static effects of constructions are implemented into these models or replace the currently used elements. Strains of the modified constructions are calculated are applied to qualify the implemented elements and designed joints.
Theatre House in Kuřim
Petr, Radovan ; Bajer, Miroslav (referee) ; Barnat, Jan (advisor)
The theme of the master´s theses is to design a wooden structure of city theater with internal steel construction. The concept of wooden structure is developed in two versions according to standard ČSN EN. The theses solve the static effect of the construction and design of individual parts and materials. Theater has dimensions 49.0 x 25.6 m, max. height of 12.5 meters. The construstion is devise to withstand a weight and applicability. The supporting structure of the roof is solved using by 13 arched plate girders. The second variant is designed as arched truss girders. The gable wall is glassed-in, glass envelopes support by wooden structure with columns and side runners. The work also includes solutions for joins and construction details. The structure was solved in the program RSTAB Dlubal 8. The assessment of the components was done using additional module TIMBER Pro. First Variant of plate girder was checking by manual report. The work includes drawings.
Diagnostic methods for the evaluation of the state of a timber structure
Rusz, David ; Komárková, Tereza (referee) ; Heřmánková, Věra (advisor)
This thesis is focused on implementation and subsequent evaluation of selected diagnostic methods for a survey of timber structure. The first part of thesis describes wood structure and characteristics, the next part is about diagnostic methods followed by diagnostics of specific element of timber structures. The main aim of the thesis is to compare nondestructive, minor destructive and destructive methods for timber structures and their application in the practice.
Modelling of traditional timber roof trusses
Vitásková, Petra ; Brdečko,, Luděk (referee) ; Zídek, Rostislav (advisor)
Bachelor’s thesis "Modelling of traditional timber roof trusses," analyzes the behavior of traditional timber roof trusses. Based on the actual design of roof trusses beam computational models are created, individual structural elements are assessed on the first and second limit state and some connections are considered. For the analysis of planar and three-dimensional model FEM programme SCIA Engineer 2011.1 is used.
Analysis of traditional timber structures
Šigutová, Petra ; Vlk,, Zbyněk (referee) ; Zídek, Rostislav (advisor)
The subject of my bachelor´s thesis is the research of the statistical effect of a barn´s rafter. The preface is devoted to the creating two - dimensional models of the basic types of the rafters and their behavior during the loading. The main part of my thesis deals with the composing three-dimensional models of the roof. I try to depict the behavior of the structure after the deformation of the joints. I compare the results to the real behavior of the structure.
Operative diagnostics of an object affected by fire
Hnátková, Barbora ; Lisztwan, Dominik (referee) ; Schmid, Pavel (advisor)
This bachelor’s thesis deals with technical construction research of the family house which was affected by a fire. The theoretical part of this bachelor’s thesis is describing a fire resistence of the masonry and mainly timber structures. In the practical part is a description of the construction, descriptions of the diagnostic methods, goings of the tests and their evaluation. The main focus of the survey is to find out a state of the construction after the fire and its reliability.
Analytical model of joint loaded perpendicular to wooden grain
Hataj, M. ; Pošta, J. ; Hasníková, Hana ; Kunecký, Jiří
Computing models for structural behaviour and determination of traditional timber butt joints using analytical relations are presented in this paper. A component method is the base of the computing technique introduced herein. This method is usually used for steel joint design. The component method is based on dividing a joint into individual components. These are defined by partial joint component stiffness. An analytical solution includes a subsidence effect of wooden material close to compressive loading. Analytical computation results are compared with the experimental outputs. A design procedure according to Eurocode 5 for a load capacity determination of perpendicularly loaded structural elements is stated in the paper.
Proceedings of the SHATIS 2022 – 6th International conference on structural health assessment of timber structures
Kunecký, Jiří ; Hasníková, Hana
Structural health assessment of timber structures associates various procedures in order to evaluate the safety and serviceability of structures. Also, it helps to assure or extend the predicted service life of structures. Service life sustainability can be promoted by the incorporation of monitoring systems or by providing tools and methods that deliver accurate reports about the structural condition. Conservation and assessment of timber structures is based on a multidisciplinary approach. The conference topics cover the wide spectrum, from wood properties, through performance of joints and timber design, to modern monitoring and digital technologies. As the topics include both existing and historical timber structures, the need for reliable non destructive testing methods is part of the approach as well.
