Brezík, František ; Klabíková Rábová, Tereza (advisor) ; Hejlová, Denisa (referee)
Bachelor thesis "Forms of Aesthetic Surgery Subjects Advertising in the Years 2011-2012" focuses on the contemporary field of aesthetic surgery. There is initially introduced the discourse of aesthetic surgery out of the medical practice. This part provides general information about the product and the target group. The important fact is the key role of influence aimed at women. The first chapter presented the commercial discourse of aesthetic surgery, which depends on the possibility of entry into the public space. The second chapter analyses the main themes in the advertisement, that determine its shape. The final chapter dealt with the interpretation of the initial conditions in a broader context. The image of beautiful women in advertising acts as a pattern that raises the fear of old age. Aesthetic surgery also has a significant influence on the perception of the body. The body as an entity and object is an essential part of this sector and allows you to carry out the services offered. This puts the body into position of the material. The last part brings interdisciplinary interpretation of the body (Merlau-Ponty) and the technology (Heidegger). The important aspect is question of ethics.

The Body of the Other: The Phenomenology of Intersubjectivity
Krejcar, Václav ; Zika, Richard (advisor) ; Novotný, Karel (referee)
In my diploma thesis I deal with the topic of experience of another person from the phenomenological philosophical point of view. The two major motives of my diploma thesis are: the revelation of the shift in thinking of Edmund Husserl in the phenomenology of intersubjectivity and showing that Merleau-Ponty went way beyond Husserls thinking. In the first chapter I clarify what Husserls term 'empathy' meant in his Cartesian Meditations and how this conception follows the theory of Theodor Lipps. Then I explaine Husserls thinking of intersubjectivity from the book Ideas Pertaining to a Pure Phenomenology and to a Phenomenological Philosophy - Second Book. In the third chapter I describe the phenomenology of intersubjectivity in the work of Merleau-Ponty. The fourth chapter is an interpretation and subsequent comparison of both authors. My main aim is to show that Merleau-Pontys comprehension of 'intercorporeity' surpasses Husserls conception of intersubjectivity. The final chapter displays the critical thinking of my opinion according to Zahavis interpretation of Merleau-Pontys philosophy, from Husserl and Transcendental Intersubjectivity. In this diploma thesis I bring the analysis of one source of thinking about the experience of another person to an end. I have accomplished the imaginary circle...

Plastic beauty - the body within the frame of aesthetic surgery
Koktová, Eva ; Ezzeddine, Petra (advisor) ; Šlesingerová, Eva (referee)
In Czech Republic, aesthetic plastic surgery experiences a boom. By offering body modification it also contributes to a change in perception of the body and physicality of a contemporary man in a certain way. In this dissertation I have attempted to view aesthetic plastic surgery as an institution to which three different paths lead - the path of a client, the path of a physician and the path of promotion. I have approached the topic through the interviews with people who have personal experience with aesthetic surgery. Foremost I was interested in what their individual experience with the body was, what brought them to the decision to have their body surgically modified and what was the role of contemporary culture which ceaselessly produces idealized images of a human body in this decision. To my research I have added interviews with physicians who practice at clinics of aesthetic medicine together with managers of these clinics who take care of the promotion. Through their bodies people express their personality, they strive to reach an ideal harmony and even a minor modification of appearance may significantly help them to achieve this. The body has become a project and plastic surgery a tool how to win control over it - despite the signs of aging, maternity and congenital defects.

The body and the sin. One of a woman{\crq}s image in the moralist literature in the early modern period Annotation The diploma work is aimed at an early modern woman seen from the moralist authors´view. The work ranks among the contributions connected with gender roles research in the society of the studied period. The sources that it takes on come from the 16th and 17th centuries and they are aimed against woman{\crq}s wickedness which were connected with woman{\crq}s carnality. The body as a tool of a trespass is represented as a connecting unit through the individual chapters and at the same time it work as the main symbol of the woman{\crq}s trespass. In connexion with the carnality the most feared sins are mentioned, such as pride, adultery or fornication. In additoin to these particular trespasses the moralist authors also pointed out possible snares or potential ways leading to the trespass, such as dance or a pure and simple woman{\crq}s glimpse. Even these opinions show it was very important to keep out women of ill fame because even a simple slander could raise doubts of everyone{\crq}s probity. The aim of the diploma work is an elucidation of images of women dominated in the society in the early modern period. The work should outline a certain bipolarity that is, in connexion wiht a women, evident in the moralist authors` writings. In this a woman of the early modern period was conceived either as a redeemer or on the other hand as a wicked woman whereas the main thought of the work elucidation of period opinions of a woman as a sinner is.
