This bachelor thesis deals with the history of Šumná village in the years 1789 - 1990, about the development of education and leisure activities. It describes the general view of the historical period in the village of Šumná, including the development of education, citizens' lives, local activities, leisure time organizations and the impact of the influence of political ideologies. The work is mainly based on the municipal and school chronicle.

RÉSUMÉ The diploma thesis analyses the process of creation of the Pioneer organization, and the gradual prohibition of the Scout organization Junák by the Communist regime at the turn of the 1940s and 1950s. The thesis aims to describe the view of the Junák organization by the Communist regime, and to compare both youth organizations. The first part focuses on the creation of Junák, its development up to 1945, and discusses the organization, meaning and content of the Scout educational method. The second crucial chapter describes the history of the Scout movement after World War II in the context of the post-war tendency to merge youth organizations and give them a single central leadership. The reasons and circumstances under which the Communist regime decided to suspend the activity of the Scout organization and to give full responsibility for the education of children to the Czechoslovak Youth Federation (ČSM) and its part, the Pioneer organization, are examined. The task of the Pioneer organization in the socialist society is described, so are its organization, meaning, symbols and the educational framework. The impact of attending the Pioneer organization events on the attitude to tourist activities

The aim of the bachelor thesis is to find out by means of a questionnaire survey if the attending of the Pioneer organization events has had some positive impact on the attitude to touring. The first part of the thesis is focused on the explanation of the main terms, description of the history and activities of the Pioneer organization and events which this organization arranges including a brief description of other children and youth organizations engaged in some form of tourist activities. The second part of the thesis introduces the evaluation of the questionnaire survey and the summary of the discovered results.

(bachelor thesis The Importance of the Magazine Pionýrské noviny in the Fifties of the Twentieth Century) The bachelor thesis concerns the magazine Pionýrské noviny (Pioneer Journal) that represented an important children's magazine in the former socialistic Czechoslovakia. The magazine was being published between during the period of the years 1951 to 1968. The thesis aims to outline the image of an ideological children's periodical in the fifties of the twentieth century on the example of the magazine Pionýrské noviny. The goal of the thesis consists also in clarifying the legacy and the function of this periodical, explanation of it's character and orientation of it's content. Further, the thesis tries to map the history of publishing of the magazine and to find out the position of the magazine Pionýrské noviny among the other children's and youth press published by The Czechoslovakian Youth Union - the publisher of the magazine. Part of the thesis is also dedicated to this significant mass organization and also to The Pioneer Organization for whose members the magazine was primarily designed. The thesis examines volumes of the magazine between the years 1951 to 1957.
