The Influence of Temperature on the Uniaxial Compressive Strength of Rocks
Brabec, Marek ; Šimáček, Roman
This study focuses on determination of the temperature effect on uniaxial compressive strength of different rock types. For our laboratory tests, we chose local greywacke from the Kobeřice quarry which is situated 10 km south of Prostějov. For comparison, datasets representing other rock types have been gathered from the literature cited. As shown in this study, the rock type structure, composition or the processes that formed the rock can influence how the compressive strength changes across the temperature range. Results of similar analyses can be utilized during the design of underground constructions or for assessment of the fire damage on a rock-based constructions.
Influence of temperature dependence of luminescence solar cells
Koutný, Michal ; Veselý, Aleš (referee) ; Dolenský, Jan (advisor)
This work deals with determination defects in solar cells using non-destructive methods. Defects are determinating by electroluminescence method and microplasma method in temperature influence. Temperature will be changed by Peltier cells. By using this various temperatures during the testing we can receive more objective results thanks to simulated operation conditions.
The effect of temperature on the mechanical properties of greywacke
Brabec, Marek ; Horák, Vladislav (referee) ; Krmíček, Lukáš (advisor)
The author of this master's thesis studied the influence of high temperatures on Lower Carboniferous greywacke sampled in the Kobeřice quarry near Prostějov. Two sets of cylindrical bodies were produced, made of fine and relatively coarse-grained greywacke. The samples were then fired at temperatures up to 1200 °C. Thermally altered samples were then studied in laboratory using rock mechanics and petrography methods. Results of the study were then carefully interpreted to determine relations between the rock parameters, structural changes and the firing temperature. The master's thesis also contains a brief insight into rock thermomechanics, necessary theoretical background to the used methods and geological context of the Drahany Upland, where the samples of the tested greywacke were taken.
Effect of air temperature on FDM 3D printing
Hrdlička, Martin ; Slaný, Martin (referee) ; Zemčík, Oskar (advisor)
The thesis deals with 3D printing by the FDM and ambient temperature on print quality. The thesis describes the principle of printing by the FDM method and the occurrence of errors caused by the influence of ambient temperature. The aim of the thesis is to design a heated chamber for RepRap Prusa i3 printer, its construction and subsequent testing of ambient temperature influence on print quality. To test the occurrence of the described errors, specific tests and materials are selected in the work. The result of this work is the recommended ambient temperature in the heated chamber for improved FDM printing.
Influence of the Temperature on the Dielectric properties epoxy with ground mica
Ráček, Tomáš ; Havlíček, Svatopluk (referee) ; Polsterová, Helena (advisor)
The paper is focused on theoretical analysis of the basic characteristics of dielectrics, especially on the examination of these qualities at samples of epoxy sealing compound filled with powder mica, and their dependance on the temperature and the content of filling in the material. The measured quantities are inner resistivity, relative permitivity, and loss factor. The paper also deals with the sensitivity of the material to humidity, and through the influence of humidity to the other measured quantities.
Nontraditional methods for correction of leading wires resistance
Drahokoupil, Petr ; Havránek, Zdeněk (referee) ; Beneš, Petr (advisor)
This bachelor`s thesis deals with the question of elimination leading wires resistances. This negative effect is major issue in temperature measurement when using resistive sensor. Work analyse basic methods and their principle of compensation negative effect . Then it covers nontraditional methods and their principle. There is a scheme of current look described in detail in this work, which is being used to eliminate leading wires resistances. Part of the work is a simulation of this look and comparison with measurement.
Development of sexual characteristics of phlebotomine sand flies
Pavlasová, Michaela ; Votýpka, Jan (advisor) ; Král, David (referee)
Thesis is focused on study of phlebotomus generative attributes development and body dimension influence for some determinant notes therefore is divided into two thema parts. First thematic part of thesis is heeding to rotation of outer genitalia of chosen phlebotomus subgenus males and their representatives: Adlerius (Phlebotomus arabicus), Larroussius (Phlebotomus orientalis and Phlebotomus tobbi), Euphlebotomus (Phlebotomus argentipes), Paraphlebotomus (Phlebotomus sergenti), Phlebotomus (Phlebotomus papatasi), Lutzomyia (Lutzomyia longipalpis) and Sergentomyia (Sergentomyia schwetzi). In this parts was discovered and compared time of station of genitalia for chosen subgenera. Also the time from emergence of adults to rotation and rotation time dependence on adults daytime eclosion was measured. Times of rotation time duration including that of times from rotation beggining were at subgenuses expressively different, from S. schwetzi with the shortest rotation time of 12 hours to P. sergenti with the longest with average time rotation of 32 hours. Further were compared rotations of two genuses within subgenus Larroussius: P. orientalis a P. tobbi. Here also were each rotation times expressively different that do not validate the rotation should be specific for given subgenus. Observed was also...
