Nekolný, Lukáš ; Fialová, Dana (advisor) ; Šantrůčková, Markéta (referee) ; Boltižiar, Martin (referee)
This dissertation deals with research of the zoo as a social construct, which in its history and form represents the development of the relationship between society and nature, or man and animals. At the same time, it is a specific cultural landscape reflecting other changes in paradigms and needs in society. The current form of zoos has always reflected various economic, political, environmental and cultural aspects, or opinion and spatial changes of society. This work is a contribution to the discussion of the application of thematization typical of contemporary experience-oriented society. The aim of the thesis is to characterize the development of zoos and their current form in Europe, where this concept originated at the turn of the 18th and 19th centuries, and to discuss regional differences regarding the different geographical context of the post-socialist space. From the geographical point of view, this is a topic rarely addressed so far, both from a theoretical (the zoo as an example of the specific landscape) as well as a regional approach. The first part provides a theoretical framework by means of a discussion of scientific literature and formulating the starting points of the research based on selected concepts and paradigms (social constructivism, the relationship between man and...

Rendla, Michal ; Křeček, Jan (advisor) ; Nečas, Vlastimil (referee)
Abstrakt_aj The thesis deals with the issue of security in the pre-election campaign to the Chamber of Deputies of the Parliament of the Czech Republic 2017, specifically in the election programmes of relevant political parties. In the theoretical part of the thesis is first discussed security, its concept, and basic security terminology. Afterward, the socio-constructivist Copenhagen school's securitization theory is presented, which provides also a suitable analytical tool, as well as election programmes, their position in the pre-election campaign and relevance for this paper. The analytical part of the thesis is divided into two levels. Using a quantitative content analysis of programmes, based on the method of the Comparative Manifesto research group, although heavily modified for the purposes of the work, the thematic content of security is mapped, the representation of specific themes across the programmes, as well as the amount of space and, hence, the attention devoted by individual parties to security topics. The analysis found that the dominant security issues in the programmes of the observed parties were Army and Defense, Migration, Migration Crisis and Asylum Policy, and finally Internal Order and Security. The second level of the content analysis is of qualitative nature and through the lens...

HAJDUKOVÁ, Lucie
The aim of the thesis "Structures with thematization and rhematization in Spanish journalistic texts" is to show how Spanish and Czech language achieve the thematization and rhematization of utterences. The theoretical part deals with some different theories of the word-order which are supported by Czech, Spanish and even world-recognized linguists. In the thesis there are mentioned theoretic approaches of Daneš, Mathesius, Sgalla and Firbase who in their work deal with the present-day sentence structure and thematical sequences and the thoery of Hernado Cuadrado and Fernández Soriano which talks about the dislocation to the left. The second, the practical, part is focused on the frequency of occurrence of the cleft sentences using which both languages achieve the thematization and rhematization and also on the comparison of the chosen issues on the basis of the Czech and Spanish journalistic articles.
