Dudařová, Anna ; Jelen, Jakub (advisor) ; Navrátilová, Denisa (referee)
Absctract The bachelor thesis is devoted to the topic of general atmospheric circulation and its teaching at secondary schools. The aim of the thesis is to research the teachers' approach to teaching this topic and to analyse textbooks and atlases that teachers can use in their teaching. Another objective is also to create teaching material that can facilitate teachers' preparation for classes dealing with the mentioned topic. In the first part of the thesis, the reader is introduced to the topic of general atmospheric circulation itself, a summary of previous research and a presentation of the view of the topic from the point of view of Czech educational documents. In the second part, both researches and their results are presented, i.e. the content analysis of textbooks and atlases and the questionnaire survey in which 63 grammar school teachers participated. On the basis of these researches, teaching material was created, which is the subject of the last part of the thesis.
Characteristics of Selected Groups of Arachnids and Their Use in Teaching at the Second Grade of Elementary School
Bryxová, Tereza ; Říhová, Dagmar (advisor) ; Hanel, Lubomír (referee)
The topic of the thesis is the characterization of the arachnid group and selected orders of this group. The main part of the thesis is devoted to the design of a teaching block on arachnids for pupils of 7-9th grades of primary schools. The theoretical part contains a general characterization of the arachnid group and a more detailed description of the five selected orders (scorpions, scorpion mites, spiders and mowers) and the representatives who were also chosen and included in the teaching block. It also addresses selected activation methods in science education. In the practical part, a two-hour teaching block with included and selected activation activities is designed and subsequently implemented in two Prague primary schools. The results of the pupils of both primary schools (Petřiny and Písnická) were very positive. In both classes there was a significant acquisition of knowledge and skills after the teaching block. Prior to the teaching block, pupils from all classes had correctly written down an average of seven concepts in their mind maps. After the teaching block, there was an increase in the number of concepts (around 10 on average each time) correctly used and written down. The pupils evaluated the inclusion of the mind map, the transformed jigsaw learning and the didactic game...
Selected materials for teaching chemistry in lower grades at the eight-year grammar school
Wilhelm, Lukáš ; Šmejkal, Petr (advisor) ; Janoušková, Svatava (referee)
The incoherence of the Czech school system, which is based on the existence of three different types of grammar schools, results in a time inconsistency in the teaching of some subjects. Today, pupils at eight-year grammar schools encounter the subject of chemistry for the first time one to two years earlier than pupils at primary schools. However, the same textbook may be presented to both groups, but it may be inappropriate for younger pupils as it would not reflect the fact that they are not cognitively advanced enough. How do eight-year grammar schools themselves approach this disparity? Does the approach to teaching chemistry to younger pupils differ in foreign countries in any way? These are the questions this thesis seeks to answer. To find the answers, an analysis of Czech and selected foreign curriculum documents was used. The most important results of this thesis include the fact that eight-year grammar schools in the Czech Republic most often include a total of seven teaching units during the first year of chemistry teaching, of which the most abstract concepts are included in the teaching unit Particle composition of substances. In foreign countries, the teaching of chemistry to younger pupils does not go as in-depth as in our eight-year grammar schools, but comparable topics are...

Klásková, Františka ; Bravená, Noemi (advisor) ; Tonzarová, Hana (referee)
This thesis is devoted to the topic catechetical work with children in the Czechoslovak Hussite Church. After presenting into context depicts the subject from two point sof wiew. The first part is devoted to theoretical catechetics, which describes how the catechesis of children theoretically takes place. The sekond part shows you how it really takes place in Hradec Kralove diocese of the Czechoslovak Hussite Church. These two parts are equally divided into three sections. By comparing these sections it is concluded that in practice the fundamental katechetice coincides with the theory. In a formal katechetics, basic points also coincide, but practice may inspire theory rather than vice verse. The material part is of the biggest contradictions, especially in materials that Czechoslovak Hussite Church does (not) offer. Mismatch in this material part of catechetics is essential, and unless a consensus is reached again, the problems that the practice faces, cannot be solved.
Problematics in text Writing in Foreign Languages at Czech Secondary Schools with Specialization in Russian
Drebitková Malá, Alena
The dissertation analyses how to approach teaching of writing skills in Russian language at Czech secondary schools. In the theoretical part I define what a "writing skill" is. I focus on the linguistic, psycholinguistic and didactic aspects of the teaching of writing. I explain attitudes to writing skills in different teaching methods in history and nowadays. After that I set out the requirements for testing writing skills in some of the most common documents: Common European Framework for Languages, European Language Portfolio, international exams in Russian language ТРКИ (Тест русского языка как иностранного) or TORFL (Test of Russian as a Foreign Language) and the state final exam in Russian language at Czech secondary schools. In the practical part, I first analyse selected Czech and Russian textbooks for grammar schools to compare their approach towards teaching writing skills in native languages: Czech and Russian. Then I set out analysis of Czech textbooks used in the Czech Republic for teaching Russian, focusing in particular on the exercises used to teach writing. After that, I evaluate answers from two questionnaires that I gave to secondary school graduates and teachers of Russian. My goal was to understand the issues they face and any problems they experience in practice when learning...
