The ideal first grade teacher trough the eyes of parents

The thesis surveys the perspective of parents of children attending last class of nusery school and investigates what expectation they have about first grade teachers. The thesis is divided into two parts, the theoretical and the practical part. The theoretical part summarizes existing knowledge the main actors wiho are present in the pupil's transition to the first grade, which are the pupil, the family and the teacher. The practical part is focused on a mixed methods study. In the first part quantitative research is used questionnaire method, the research sample comprises the parents of preschool children. The responses reflext the respondent's opinions about idea about first grade teacher in primary school. First grade teachers react to this parent's idea. The semi-structured group interview method is used to find out whether the parent's ideas seem realistic to them and if they satisfy or prove to satisfy this idea about first grade teacher in primary school. The aims of the thesis is to ascertain, how looks the teacher's ideal by parents, which characteristics parents prefer in relation to pupils and parents and how the first grade teachers react on these ideas. Teachers personality in the 21st century

The aim of diploma thesis Teachers personality in the 21st century is to point out the importance of the human spiritual dimension, as well as the importance of personality development of every teacher. The thesis is trying to disclose which of the challenges are teachers facing nowadays and how the students and pupils themselves are affected by their lecturers. The paper describes the transformation of the teacher's role in present-day society. Two different approaches in teachers training are presented and compared - classical higher education and Waldorf education. The theoretical part of the thesis deals with the definition of the personality concept regarding a psychological point of view, as well as the definition of teacher education paradigm transformation relating to key competences and professional teachers standards. One section of the text is describing the basic principles of Waldorf pedagogy. The empirical part consists of an analysis of two different teacher education approaches, obtained through interviews with representatives of the Faculty of Education of Charles University in Prague and Freie Hochschule in Stuttgart. The mental and physical demands of teacher's work

This bachelor thesis analyses the teaching profession and focuses on its possible demands and requirements. It takes into consideration an objective view of teacher's work as well as a subjective view of a teacher. The basis of this thesis is teacher's psychological professiography that describes individual teacher activities in specific conditions of school environment. It concentrates on requirements on the qualification, teacher's personality and time management along with atypical activities that are found in the teaching profession. An essential part of the thesis considers teacher's workload and its effects on teacher's personality and performance. A special attention is given to stress and its sources and consequences. The teaching profession is appraised as a relatively demanding profession with lots of different demands and expectations. The final section of the thesis contemplates possible ways and strategies of dealing with load and stress in a view of a natural organism defence and other means of dealing with stress. For instance, an effort to change an individual approach to a workload by means of various programmes and courses of continuing education, school resources and other ways.

Diagnosis of Selected Didactic Terms of Students of Teaching and Primary School Teachers

This diploma work raises the issues of preconcepts for didactics of students of teaching, deals with the perception of those concepts by primary school teachers, and subsequently with their diagnosis. The aim of this work is to find out to what extent the perception of some chosen didactic concepts are connected comparing students of pedagogical faculty and experienced primary school teachers. The theoretical part aims to define the concepts involved in the research and concerns with constructivists didactics. In the practical part the data relating to preconcepts were found and processed by method of semantic differential.
