Preparation of applicants for admission procedures in physical education for the field of physical education and sport at the Faculty of Pedagogy of Charles University

The bachelor thesis deals with the analysis of the preparation of the students of the Faculty of Education of Charles University for the talent exams in physical education. The aim of the thesis is to find out how the students of Pedagogical Faculty of Charles University are prepared for the talent exams in physical education, whether they are prepared at all, for how long, or under what guidance and in what sports. In the theoretical part, the thesis deals with the introduction of the Framework Educational Programmes for Physical Education in different secondary schools and a comparison of their differences. Furthermore, it focuses on the description and characteristics of the physical education talent test at universities, including the different disciplines and sports that are included in the talent test. The theoretical section also concludes with an analysis of the role of physical abilities and skills as key determinants of sport performance and their impact on success in the talent test. The development of swimming efficiency of applicants for study of physical education and sport with focus on education at Faculty of Education, Charles University

This diploma thesis is engaged in development of swimming efficiency of applicants for study of physical education and sport with focus on education at Faculty of Education, Charles University. It finds out which swimming style is most frequently chosen by the applicants depending on sex and who is more successful during the entrance exam whether males or females. It estimates how do applicants prepare for a swimming part of talent exam and how long. The work processes five-year swimming part report of talent exam at the department of physical education. Method of quantitative research was used for solving and the data are processed by statistical methods. It uses comparing of acquired data. By the performed research we found out that the most frequently chosen swimming style is crawl and breaststroke was more frequently chosen by females. Males prefer the fastest swimming style more often than females. Males were more successful in entrance exam than females and the equal number of males and females did not finished designated distance. The work shows that the number of unsuccessful applicants in the point evaluation increases over the years. The most applicants prepare themselves from available sources. Swimming level of applicants for study at FTVS UK

Title: Swimming level of applicants for the study at FTVS UK Objectives: The aim of this theses is to evaluate the swimming level of applicants for studies of physical education at the Faculty of Physical Education and Sports at Charles University in the years 2008-2019. The survey will be conducted on the basis of the average times achieved and the average score of the candidates. Furthermore, we will probe the differences in the swimming level of men and women and in the choice of the swimming style. Methods: In this theses, methods of analysis and synthesis were used for data processing. Furthermore, there were used survey data analysis, statistical methods and comparison method for comparing partial results. Results: The results of the survey showed that the swimming level of applicants for studies at the Faculty of Physical Education and Sports at Charles University did not change significantly in the years 2008-2019. Men achieved average times ranging from 01:28,7-01:32,2 and women 01:40,6-01:45,6. The changes were not remarkable, so it is not possible to consider these fluctuations in the swimming level as significant in the overall evaluation.
