Sobota, Marek ; Svobodová, Irena (advisor) ; Mojžíš, Otakar (referee)
9 RESUMÉ This thesis deals with teaching children swimming, especially its basic stages of mastering basic swimming skills and the basics of swimming. Lessons were drawn up on the basis of the lesson plan in a swimming school in two groups of preschool children. In one group the training began in a swimming pool with a deep floor and in the second group the training began in a swimming pool with a shallow floor. From the sixth lesson, both groups continued in the large pool with a deep floor. The aim of the pedagogical investigation was to evaluate and compare the differences in the achieved level of basic swimming skills. The main aim of this work was to determine which of the two teaching methods are more effective. We found that the group learning in a deep pool achieved higher scores and therefore better mastered basic swimming skills. For acquiring basic swimming skills it is more effective if swimming schools begin teaching preschool children in a swimming pool with a deep floor.

The survey will be conducted on the basis of the average times achieved and the average score of the candidates. Methods: In this theses, methods of analysis and synthesis were used for data processing. Furthermore, there were used survey data analysis, statistical methods and comparison method for comparing partial results. Results: The results of the survey showed that the swimming level of applicants for studies at the Faculty of Physical Education and Sports at Charles University did not change significantly in the years 2008-2019. Men achieved average times ranging from 01:28,7-01:32,2 and women 01:40,6-01:45,6. The changes were not remarkable, so it is not possible to consider these fluctuations in the swimming level as significant in the overall evaluation. The regeneration of competitive swimmers on the basis of physiotherapeutic methods
ŠIMÁČKOVÁ, Jana
This bachelor thesis deals with the topic of regeneration of competitive swimmers. Competitive swimming belongs to physically very demanding sports. Wrong swimming technique, overload and lack of relaxation often cause health problems. That is why it is important to make also a suitable form of relaxation part of the training, f.e. compensation exercises. The first goal of my thesis is to chart the use of regeneration techniques with competitive swimmers. My other goal is to describe the practical use of physiotherapeutic techniques in compensation exercises as part of the competitive swimmers training. In the theoretical part swimming is characterized from the point of view of a physiotherapist as well as its positive and negative influence on human body. The next chapter describes the individual swimming styles. A part of the theory also focuses on postural and phasic muscles. The last chapter deals with regeneration in sports and focuses on its forms and means. The practical part was done with the method of qualitative research in the form of evaluating casuistry of three competitive swimmers. To collect data the input and output kinesiological analysis, semi-structured dialogue and own observation were used. An individual plan was made for each swimmer based on the results of the input examination containing compensation exercises and other regeneration techniques. The whole therapy took 3-4 months. The results of the practical part of my bachelor thesis are mostly positive. Shortened muscles were stretched, weakened muscles were strengthened and hypertonic muscles were relaxed during the therapy with all swimmers. Only with swimmer no 3 the muscle tonus augmented in the region of her left shoulder in the end of the therapy because of an injury in her swimming training. All swimmers noticed slight amelioration of their overall posture. The chosen physiotherapeutic techniques proved themselves effective. My bachelor thesis may be an information and inspiration source for physiotherapists, coaches and sportsmen.
