Analyze teaching agile methods of software development at universities in the Czech Republic

The objective of this thesis is to analyze teaching agile methods of software development at universities in the Czech Republic. This information is not enough known, so this thesis says range and scope of teaching agile development. Primary source of analyzed data are publicly available information at universities, including information about the teaching activities. Another important source is a questionnaire survey, accomplished as a part of this work. Conclusions and recommendations made with respect to the examined data, could lead to growing interest in the concept of agile software development. The thesis is divided into several chapters. Introduction is devoted to general information on agile methodologies with their brief explanation. In the following chapters is determined the status of teaching agile methods at different universities and provided information on the questionnaire survey and its evaluation. In the last section, I try to make conclusions reflecting the information provided in this thesis and also in previously conducted surveys on the practices of agile development.

Analysis of a Strategic Decisions of Sports Organization

The aim of this dissertation was to analyse the success of strategic decision of the sport organisation. Another aim was to find out about the club competitiveness and how clients are satisfied with changes of the club's services. Consequences of these strategic changes were evaluated on the base of various analyses, such as analysis of internal and external environment and financial analysis. The data were obtained by using questionnaire and phone or personal contact with members of the club. This dissertation contains ten chapters, first five of which are dedicated to a theoretic part and the other five are dedicated to a practical part. The main aim and task are shortly described in the introduction. The first chapter is devoted to non-profit organizations and the second to forth chapter describe the organization strategy, strategic management and its change. In the fifth chapter are presented analytical methods which are used in area of strategic management. The chapter six shows the methods and procedures used in the practical part of this project. The seventh chapter is dedicated to a presentation of the sport organization. The eighth chapter presents and interprets the gained data, which are implemented into analytical methods in the ninth chapter. The tenth chapter summarize consequences of the strategic decision and also its concept. The output of this project is presented in the resume.

The administrative burden of public spending programs

The thesis is focused on finding administrative costs of the selected public spending program - the Operational Programme Education for Competitiveness. The work presents the theory of public expenditure, public spending projects and administrative costs to the extent required. There is also described the Operational Programme Education for Competitiveness itself. The core is in the analysis of administrative costs for the three types of projects, the administrative burden is watched in the selected projects at various levels of implementation structure. The values observed are compared, evaluated and commented. The problematic areas are formulated pursuant to the observed data. To determine the necessary data has been used a questionnaire survey.

Particular aspects of internationalization of SMEs

This thesis deals with some aspects of internationalization of small and medium enterprises (SMEs) in present globalized world. The goal of this thesis is to analyze the causes, forms and entry barriers for SMEs from the Czech Republic expanding to international markets. This is facilitated by own survey. The survey with questionnaire covering 20 questions was conducted among almost a thousand SMEs. Basic characteristics of SMEs as well as internationalization and enterprise support is mentioned in the thesis. The part is also devoted to the impacts of current economic crisis on SMEs. Survey results are included in the final part of this thesis.

Analysing the computer literacy of VŠE students

This work analyzes theoretical and practical aspects of computer literacy acquisition. The theoretical determination of the term "computer literacy" together with other aspects is defining a scope for analysing the computer literacy of VŠE students after attending basic university-wide compulsory IT subjects. The aim of this work is investigation of the current computer knowledge level, whether the knowledge achieved is sufficient for students for professional career, which involves use of computer for routine agenda. Therefore a survey of computer knowledge of selected top companies on our market is attached. According to confrontation between students and companies, in case of variance, proposals for an improvement of computer literacy at VŠE will be outlined.

On-line survey method

Thesis deals with modern ways of surveys using advancing information technology and internet which makes surveys using web applications more effective. After a short review of public opinion history the summary of principal czech and forign survey organizations engaged in determination of survey rules are presented. Thesis follows with description of classic and modern data collecting methods. Main attention is devoted to on-line survey method. The description of method, possibilities of realization, positives and negatives and use of on-line questionnaire survey are presented. Final part of thesis si focused on on-line survey applying. The quality of this method is considered by sociological survey.
