Automation of genotype data calculations
Vybíhal, Adam ; Richter, Miloslav (referee) ; Štohl, Radek (advisor)
The goal of this paper is to automate work with programs for the study of population structure using genotype data. Specifically, we describe properties of four programs for this use, Structure, Structure Harvester, CLUMPP and distruct. There's proposed a process of automation of work with these programs within the paper. Based on proposed process, an application is then created on the .NET platform, which allows you to work with mentioned software. This application provides a graphical user interface for creating input files, entering the necessary parameters, setting up automatic execution of individual programs and displaying their results.

Jeřáb ptačí jako krajinotvorný prvek v NPR Praděd (CHKO Jeseníky)
Remešová, Miroslava
The present thesis explores the mountain ash population in a selected part of Praděd National Nature Reserve, hunting grounds of Karlov and Malá Morávka. The research was carried out in an area of 665 ha, in elevations ranging from 950–1463.7 metres. The structure of the adult population of the mountain ash (generative organs, thickness and height structure) was described, the density of its rejuvenation was assessed focusing on the quantification of damages due to browsing. The results imply that the area is populated by a sufficient number of specimens that are capable of generative reproduction, as well as by a sufficient number of seedlings which do not grow up due to browsing. A management of the mountain ash population was suggested, aiming at the maximum use of the high population of natural rejuvenation. The thesis also deals with the assessment of the area landscape character. The projected landscaping in the locality of Ovčárna uses the mountain ash as a landscape-forming element.
Population development in the political district of Kutná Hora in the period of 1880-1910
Nováková, Iveta ; Fialová, Ludmila (advisor) ; Velková, Alice (referee)
Population development in the political district of Kutná Hora in the period of 1880-1910 Abstract This bachelor thesis deals with the analysis of population development in the political district of Kutna Hora during years 1880-1910. The political district of Kutna Hora was divided in two judicial districts - Kutna Hora and Uhlirske Janovice. The area of Kutna Hora belonged to the Czech regions where changes of ongoing demographic revolution were implemented very soon. This was thanks to the district town where more job opportunities in industry and services occurred. The judicial district of Uhlirske Janovice belonged to the regions oriented more on agriculture. Handcraft and glass industry were traditional for the villages in this region. Keywords: Population development, structure of population, Historical demography, Political District of Kutna Hora, Birthrate, Mortality, Marriage rate, Population increase

Marital status as a differentiating factor in demographic behavior
Nedomová, Radka ; Pechholdová, Markéta (advisor) ; Nývlt, Ondřej (referee)
Diploma thesis explores the diversity of demographic behavior depending on marital status and is aimed at summarizing the effect of marital status on demographic behavior as a whole. The first phase deals with the concepts of impact of marital status on demographic behavior, explains the theory of selection and causality and outlines the historical development of nuptiality and divorce by using basic indicators. The practical part is based on the results of Population and Housing Censuses during the period 1961-2011 and compares the changes in the structure of the Czech population by sex, age and marital status between censuses. Emphasis is placed on the period after 1990. Furthermore, in separate chapters is mapped out how marital status affects demographic processes of fertility, abortion, nuptiality and mortality. In the case of fertility exploration is emphasized increasing extramarital fertility, as more and more children are born outside marriage, especially to single mothers. By using age-specific and standardized rates are analyzed changes in the development of individual demographic processes between censuses for all categories of marital status. Standardization of mortality for the years 1961, 1970 and 1980 is made on the basis of the formation of shortened life tables and the subsequent modeling of mortality at higher ages. In connection of changing structure of the population by marital status, as the proportion of unmarried and divorced people is growing and the share of people living in a marriage is decreasing, is judged attitude of the Czech public toward marriage and family according to surveys results available.
Population genetics of two endangered fritillary butterflies in the Moravian Carpathians
LEŠTINA, Dan
Annotation Populations of two sympatric large fritillary species, the High Brown Fritillary (Argynnis adippe) and the Niobe Fritillary (A. niobe), were studied using microsatellite markers to assess and compare potential population subdivision in a relatively preserved landscape of the Czech part of the Carpathians. The results are confronted with data obtained from a smaller-scale mark-release-recapture study, with species? known life histories and namely with their conservation status, all of which is also considered in explaining the obtained patterns of genetic diversity.
