The diploma thesis focused on financial management of the company TRANSBETON s.r.o.. In the theoretical part there is a presentation of the assessed company and a general explanation of the term financial analyses, principles of which are applied on company. In the second part the obtained results are evaluated and compared with the data set for an advancement of the firm. Based on these results it is possible to propose an enhancement of the current state of the firm and its prospective development in the future.

Analysis of approaches to strategic management in tertiary education

The subject of the diploma thesis titled Analysis of approaches to strategic management in tertiary education is the analysis of approaches from the point of view of national and international strategies and also from the point of view of universities themselves. The thesis contains theoretical background, theoretical resources of the issue concerned focusing on strategic management in general and in concept of tertiary education. The theoretical part also presents the history of tertiary education from the first Czechoslovak Republic to the present form of tertiary education in the Czech Republic and Slovakia. The bases for the researched issue, ie. the approach to strategic management in the field of tertiary education, are represented by conceptual documents focusing on the strategy and development of tertiary education in the Czech Republic and the Slovak Republic, the attention is also focused on the tendencies within Bologna process. The outputs of the IPN KREDO project were used, which dealt with the strategy of the development of tertiary education until 2030 in connection with the elaboration of strategic plans for the development of universities for the given period. Strategic Analysis of an Enterprise

This diploma thesis deals with the strategic analysis of Skoda Auto a. s. and its current strategy. Also, it deals with verifying of given hypotheses to effectively determine the future operational strategy. The first part is the theoretical and methodological, which explains the key concepts of strategic analysis of a company. It's followed by the practical part, which translates the theory of strategic analysis into the practice, analyzes modern trends and via the synthesis method it achieves the objective of this thesis: to specify strategic recommendations for Skoda Auto and to verify the hypotheses specified in the beginning.
