Design of Creating a Logistics Concept for Orders in a Business Organization

The thesis deals with the design of the creation of a logistics concept for orders in the joint-stock company XY. The work contains three basic parts. First, it elaborates the theoretical basis of the work such as the definition of international trade, a description of an organization dealing with international trade and trading. It then describes the company and its current situation in logistics, storage and trade. Second part moreover descript two specific contracts, including links to suppliers. It also sets out proposals for improving the logistics concept of XY, Plc.

Study of Lean Production in a Selected Production Plant and its Implementation

The thesis deals with the possibility of improving work processes in a company operating in the Zlín region. Most of the production consists of the production of electronic components for the automotive industry. For the constant pressure to improve the production processes, the author focuses on the observation of the working day of an employee in the position of Warehouseman, handling trolley operator. From the materials obtained from the observation conducted, ways of streamlining the processes necessary to keep the production flowing were suggested.

The Food Conservation in Roman Italy

This document deals with problems of food preservation in the ancient world focusing on Roman Italy. Attention is concentrated on individual conservation practices, covering the techniques of storage and direct preservative interventions, which include dehydration, salting, sweetening, pickling, smoking or making of diary products. The work is mainly based on the study of contemporary literary works particularly Latin agricultural handbooks dating from the 2nd century BC to the 6th century AD. The information obtained is supplemented to the maximum extent by iconographic sources and archaeological evidence of individual installations and their products. The result is a comprehensive overview of preservation methods, divided into categories and subcategories based on used technology approaches characterized in the introduction to each chapter. The analysis of digital archive Ask the Library

This bachelor's thesis seeks to analyze records of answered queries, saved in their online digital archive of the Czech national digital reference service called Ask your library. Two first chapters are based on studying sources, found within a bibliographical exploration of the subject. The first chapter briefly presents the service (development, current state, function, organization and administration, receiving and answering processes, etc.). The second chapter describes in detail the creation of online archive with answered queries and researching information from it. In the third chapter is detailed analysis of answered queries. The presentation of the results forms a major part of the work. The analysis includes the presentation and interpretation of basic statistics published on the Web site (eg. the proportion of questions within years, the share of stakeholders on answering queries, etc..), and analysis of the content of the answered queries within selected thematic categories (content and nature of the response, used and others recommended resources). Finally, the author evaluates the results of the analysis of the online archive of the answered queries and perspectives of next development of this service. Smart Moving Storage Conveyor

This article deals with the problem of conveyor, which at the same time serves as a temporary storage of finished products. The construction of storage is given by closed circuit conveyor. Information about the final product is known for compliance with Industry 4.0 standards and is important for the future operation of storage. Conveyor must also be synchronized with the robotic SCARA manipulator, because the conveyor must be constantly moving due to distribution. The SCARA manipulator fills the conveyor with finished products, which are distributed to customers using this conveyor. The whole work is realized with an emphasis on the principles of Industry 4.0, because it is one part of a larger production unit.

Analysis and Evaluation of Risks in Storage Facilities of a Brewery

The diploma thesis deals with the issue of risk management in storage facilities of a brewery. The objective of the thesis was to identify and evaluate possible risks connected to the storage of handling units, which are part of the working environment in the brewery. The evaluation of the risk analysis has been created on the basis of FMEA and FTA methods. To minimize the risks, the measures were subsequently proposed to reduce potential risks when working in the warehouse which led to accident reduction. Then these measures were financially evaluated and assessed for their cost-effectiveness.

A proposal for a solution is based on the conducted analysis and the requirements of the organisation. The solution recommends modification of the data backup system including the design of new hardware.
