Recent trends in education of the unemployed people in Denmark and the Czech Republic

The objective of master thesis "Recent trends in education of the unemployed people in Denmark and the Czech Republic" is to describe active labour market policy of Denmark and the Czech Republic. The focus is specifically on young unemployed people representing the group with the highest unemployment rate on the Europeans labour market. This master thesis introduces to the instruments of active labour market policy and focuses especially on education as the most effective instrument of active labour market policy. The thesis is a theoretical study, working with relevant information sources of these two countries and with documents of EU. The result of this thesis is to be acquainted with the recent trends of this area, e.g. support of the further education or internships as an instrument of education in praxis. The evaluation of experiences of interns at the Czech representations abroad

The diploma thesis deals with the evaluation of the experience of interns at Czech representative offices. The thesis is divided into two parts. The first part is devoted to the definition of diplomacy, the Ministry of Foreign Affairs, the history of the Czech international policy, the organizational structure of the Ministry and foreign offices. Also, the practical part of the thesis includes statistical data of the course of internships at foreign offices, which were primarily obtained from the employees of the Ministry of Foreign Affairs. An illustrative example of how to apply for an internship and the necessary post-admission documentation is also included in this work. The second part is focused on both the research methodology and the research part itself. The data were obtained from interviews with former foreign office trainees. The aim of the empirical part is to find the reason and motivation to choose a traineeship, overall assessment of traineeships and the impact of traineeships on future working life.

The thesis focuses in a great detail on relation between scenographer and foreign students. The theoretical part offers an insight to various possibilities for foreign language adepts, especially those supported by KALD programe. Through the conducted questionnaires, this paper examines areas of cooperation between foreign Master’s students, Erasmus + students and Department of Alternative and Puppet Theatre. Practical part presents personal experiences acquired through cooperation on various performances including Three Cigarettes, Persona atlas, and Islands a Včela. Those examples demonstrate in detail, cooperation of foreign speaking students, benefits and challenges possibly enriching the theater artist. The thesis includes visual documentation though photography captured during the performances.

Analysis of students’ motivation to go for AIESEC internships

This thesis deals with motivation of students who are going for internships with AIESEC. The theoretical part introduces organization AIESEC, gathers information about topic of motivation and also describes the whole process of going for internship together with explanation of the role of coordinator for interns. The empirical part presents results from the research that was conducted to find out what was the motivation of students going for internships and also motivation of coordinators, who are directly working with interns. Both researches were based on written online questionnaires distributed to interns and coordinators. Analysis of results was followed by recommendations for improvement of work with interns and coordinators.
Employer Branding; influencing student perception by campus management activities

The target of this thesis was to define the concept of employer branding and its relation to campus management, the activities companies do in order to attract students and promote themselves as quality employers. The theoretical research captures the marketing essence of branding and further develops it into the employer branding framework. Further research focussed on possible campus management activities. In the practical part the popularity and effectiveness of the activities were tested through several student surveys, expert interviews and own experience of the author. The result forms a basis for a recommendation of campus management strategy adjustment.
Academics and their relationships to practice

The main aim of this work is to determine whether the academics in economic disciplines are willing to take part in industry placement, which requires an academic to be placed into a relevant industry host organization for a predetermined period of time. During this placement teacher gains practical experience, that can be used later to improve the education process. Students are given more practical information on different problems and how theories can be used in practice. Academic can help the company with innovations thanks to his wide theoretical knowledge, especially in case of smaller organizations. Long-term cooperation between university and companies offers the opportunity to exchange knowledge and build up so called Community of Practice, organize work experience for students and teachers or conform the curriculum to the needs of the labour market.
