Influence of operating conditions on the reliability of identification by fingerprints
Přívora, Lukáš ; Hart, Jan (advisor) ; Hartová, Veronika (referee)
The thesis is thematically focused on biometric identification systems. The theoretical part explains what biometrics is together with identification systems based on it. It also mentions a brief history of these systems, the basic concepts and errors that we encounter when used. Furthermore, it discusses the properties of the fingerprint scanners and various technologies based on its scanning. The practical part includes measuring and testing of selected biometric fingerprint scanners. The measurement focused on the values of false acceptance and false rejections of a user under standard conditions and tested whether the influence of environment affects these values. In the final part there is a summary of the results and possible shortcomings of existing biometric fingerprint scanners associated with the environment of the scanned finger.
Preventive maintenance of hydraulic systems in order to achieve maximum reliability
Klepetko, Vojtěch ; Mašek, Jiří (advisor) ; Novák, Petr (referee)
The aim of this bachelor thesis is to give reader the necessary knowledge needed for planning and handling preventive maintenance of hydraulic systems. This work consists of three parts. In the first part the basics of hydromechanics are described and a relatively detailed description of basic parts in hydraulic systems is included. In the second part of the thesis components that have straight impact on reliability of hydraulic systems are characterized and the last part covers topics such as creating preventive maintenance plan, working on hydraulic components important for maintenance and optimization of preventive maintenance.
Software of fracture-mechanical parameters and probabilistic analysis support used for statistical analysis of roof prestressed girders
Novák, Lukáš ; PhD, Ladislav Řoutil, (referee) ; Novák, Drahomír (advisor)
The paper shows the creation of software IO-SUPPORT, which will be used to determine the load capacity of constructions by probability methods and its visualization. There are two main functions implemented in the software. The first one is able to calculate unknown input variables used in reliability analysis. The second function is desgined to determine the load capacity and create the visualization. In practical application is the software used to analyze a roof beam and determine the design load capacity of that beam in accordance with EC standards. For creation of stochastic model the unique database of fracture-mechanical parameters was created and implemented in software FReET.
Study of the Management of Manufacturing Processes Focused on Achieving Reliability
Krus, Tomáš ; Tesař, Rostislav (referee) ; Jurová, Marie (advisor)
The thesis is focused on reliability issues of production lines and possible economic consequences for operation. The theoretical part looks into general properties of reliability, their identification and determination. It also focuses on related issues of maintenance of production facilities. In the second part of this thesis will be used this findings to perform numeric evaluations, determine impacts and possible solutions.
Lead-Free Voids Cause Mechanisms and Influence on Reliability
Šimon, Vojtěch ; Špinka, Jiří (referee) ; Starý, Jiří (advisor)
The aim of this work is to analyze reliability of lead-free solder join, in particular the voids generated during the soldering process. The main target of the theoretical part of the work is to isolate basic mechanisms of formation of the voids and optimize the soldering process. The practical part of the paper is based on monitoring the count and size of the voids in a solder join. An X-Ray tomograph has been chosen as a non-destructive method of detection. The statistical part of this work compares conventional soldering of the entire board with local soldering by IR radiation.
Dependability management
Brlica, Pavel ; Hammer, Miloš (referee) ; Řezníčková, Hana (advisor)
Theme of this bachelor‘s thesis is dependability management. Theoretical part consist of basic definitions of dependability, it describes relationship between dependability and quality and analysis dependability management system. Practical part focus on calculation of dependability coefficients and construct a bathtub curve of a real machine.
Assessment and evaluation of safety in power. machines
Hromek, Lukáš ; Janda, Marcel (referee) ; Veselka, František (advisor)
This thesis is focused on the security and improving of electrical rotating machines service life, especially asynchronous motors. Work includes a description of the most common disorders, short description of the asynchronous motor cage casting, analysis of provided decommissioned motors with photo documentation. The last part of this thesis is focused to vibrodiagnostic of asynchronous motor with simulated imbalance and motor emplacement by laser.
Lead Free Solder Joint - Models for Reliability Prediction
Nestrojil, Michal ; Šandera, Josef (referee) ; Starý, Jiří (advisor)
This bachelor's thesis deals with reliability prediction of lead-free solder joint. Background research of fatigue models for lead free solder joint.is described in theoretic part Basic terminology and lead free soldering technology operations are mentioned in the theoretical part too. The practical part is dealing with observation of resistivity and solder joint strength during thermal cycling. Evaluation of results and experiments and posibility for future application of these results for fatigue model realisation is discussed in the end of this bachelor's thesis
Creep-fatigue models for solder joints reliability prediction
Novotný, Václav ; Šandera, Josef (referee) ; Švecová, Olga (advisor)
This project is focused on utilization of creep-fatigue models for estimate of reliability lead-free solder joints. It describes basic groups of creep-fatigue models, their usage for estimate of reliability solder joint, advantages and disadvantages. There are discusssed properties of single models, which are on different base. Purpose of this project is find optimal creep-fatigue model for lead-free solder and devise a test structure to which the model will be verified. Results are compared with theoretical calculations.
Comparison of Parallel File Systems
Pazdera, Michal ; Michal, Bohumil (referee) ; Kašpárek, Tomáš (advisor)
The goal of this thesis was to explore several parallel file systems, and to evaluate their performance under various conditions. The main focus of this assessment were read and write speeds in different workloads, the reliability of each system, and also their ability to protect from data loss. Initially, this thesis introduces eight of the most commonly used parallel file systems. From these, three were selected for further testing: Lustre, GlusterFS, and CephFS. To be able to evaluate their performance accurately, a suite of automated tests was developed. These benchmarks were run for each individual file system in our testing lab. The final part of this work evaluates the results and discusses the features of each of the file systems and their suitability for particular workloads.
