Design of automatic screw feeder

In this bachelor thesis was designed a screw feeder which uses the force of a magnet for manipulations with screws. A part of the project isseveral concepts which use a different mechanism to provide screws. This concepts are based on a search. The resulting design was choosen based on its simplicity and high reliability. Designed screw feeder allown increasing capacity of container compared to other types of feeders. The feeder is easy to adjust – thanks to magnet and can be used for different screw sizes. Using a magnet reduces probability of screw’s jamming.
Mechatronics design of furniture dowels producing machine

This work deals with the suggestion of self-operating machine for the manufacture of furniture pins from the cylindrical pin blanks. The paper analyzed the possibility of production automation of furniture pins, which has been based on long experience with their production. Subsequently, there was suggested a design of machine using V-cycle methodology. In this proposition was gradually developed the machine construction and its management. Construction of this machine presented by 3D CAD model is connected to the development environment NI LabVIEW. Operating of the machine was designed and verified through co-simulation. The machine proposition was achieved trough successive iterations of development which meets the requirements. In the conclusion of this project was done analysis of choice suitable management system for the real machine.

The bachelor thesis deals with the assessment of the strength characteristics of the furniture fittings by the company Blum, specifically with the bowl type. There are two types of tests described here. The first test if for the strength of rotating door vertical load according to ČSN EN 15570 Furniture fittings Strength and durability of hinges and their parts Hinges with a vertical axis of rotation. This attempt is being performed at a 30 kg load. The second test is performed according to the test method ČSN EN 13446 Wood based panels Determination of withdrawal capacity of fasteners. This test evaluates the strength of three types of connecting materials, regarding a screw, euro screw and a screw with a dowel. The obtained information from both tests have been processed and evaluated with the use of graphs and tables using Microsoft Excel 2016. The search of the bowl fittings and its description is processed as well as the description of the individual connecting material used during the tests.
