The aim of the project is to design a public building in the place, where phenomena of Pálava mountains, reflecting water surface and wine tradition meet. It is right in the area of Strachotín village. Project is trying to harness the power of these qualities to create a special attractive house. But also, the house is showing the viewer new perspective on these entities, which would not be seen without it. The location and concept of this wine house is strengthening the link between village and Pálava reflected in water. Therefore, the main part of interior is oriented exactly on the axis between these two poles. Secondarily, house contains the small museum of local history. In terms of technical aspects, we are dealing with the floating house, which is not affecting the building of dyke in no way.

The work of a winegrower in the Šatov area (radio reportage)

The main goal of this practical bachelor's thesis is to introduce to the listener the life and work of a winegrower, specifically a winegrower from southern Moravia (Znojmo). Especially during the harvest in autumn, which marks the real beginning of a months- long process of making wine. This thesis consists of two parts; practical and theoretical. The goal of the practical part of this thesis is introducing and describing the processes of the beginning of the wine production, the overall atmosphere, and the people present. The outcome is a reportage, useable in a radio broadcast. The theoretical part is focused mostly on the radio reportage and its specifics, then on its similarities with the closest broadcast genres and on comparing them, to distinguish them from one another in their nuances.

Business plan of guest house Trinactka with support of EU funds

Aim of this thesis is to create analyze business plan of guest house named Třináctka, which will be built in southern Moravia with support of EU funds. The thesis is divided into 2 parts, theoretical and applicative. There is described meaning of business plan and EU structural funds in the first, theoretical part. There is also defined structure of business plan and all items of this plan are described. Specialized literature and author´s knowledge gained during studies at University of Economics in Prague were used as a source of this theoretical part. Applicative part consist of business plan and process how to get subsidy from EU structural fund and how this subsidy will influence comprehensive impact on the guesthouse Třináctka. At the end of the thesis there is a conclusion about potential success of the project with regards the business plan in applicative part.

Flash flood in southern Moravia from 9 June 1970 – natural disaster which claimed 35 human lives

The article is devoted to a today already forgotten flash flood, which was considered extreme from multiple viewpoints. It happened 40 years ago, on 9 June 1970, in the Kyjov region in southern Moravia on several small watercourses in the basins of Kyjovka R. and Trkmanka R. (left-bank tributaries of the Dyje/Thaya R.). The event was exceptional not only by the amount of fallen precipitation and by the discharge response on the streams but also by the extent of damage caused by storm waters. Nevertheless, the flood had more attributes, which point out its extreme character. By the number of 35 victims it ranks among the most tragic (not only local) floods that occurred in the territory of the Czech Republic in the 20th century.
