Architecture in the era of housing crisis
Richnavská, Dominika ; Eichlerová, Eva (referee) ; Kratochvíl, Jan (advisor)
The aim of the diploma thesis is to design a residential complex on the territory of the city of Brno, ideally on the site of a brownfield or on an inappropriately used land such as a horticultural land. The design should take into account trends in housing and construction and also offer solutions to current social problems. As the selected area for the thesis I have chosen the gardening complex on Žlutý Kopec, which is located at a relatively short distance from the city centre. New studies and projects are already being developed in the area to better use its potential and to make it more accessible. In the project, I am focusing on an alternative way of building - baugruppe, which is better known in neighboring countries but offers us a chance to find interesting housing solutions in contrast to development projects. That gives residents the opportunity to create individual solutions that suit each of them while finding a compromise for living together in peace and contentment. The area mostly consists of flats, but we can find there also smaller premises such as gym, coworking, etc. The addition of outdoor activities, playgrounds and sitting areas completes the whole of participatory living with strong social ties.

Večeřová, Šárka ; Drbohlav, Dušan (advisor) ; Marešová, Jarmila (referee)
Extensive emigration from post-soviet countries is caused mainly by unfavorable economic and social conditions, which is the source of the preporderant economic motive of Ukrainian and Moldovan migrants to another country. Mainly for the purpose of easier immigration to the Czech Republic, social networks and links are being built and maintained in geographically dispersed places. Their indispensability in the migration process lies in obtaining information, access to valuable resources and retention of psychological support. Due to the expansion of communication technologies and increasingly favorable conditions for travelling, social networks and ties are gradually developing. The submitted diploma thesis explores the influence of social networks on international migration and the success of the integration of Ukrainian and Moldovan migrants in the Czech Republic. The social networks of migrants are tested in terms of their intensity in the country of origin and in the destination country, and at the same time the financial remittance and transnationalization behavior is targeted. The impact of social networks on migration is analyzed by a quantitative method based on the answers from a questionnaire survey with a selection using the ,,snow-ball" method (data for this research were obtained and...

"Outdoor Education" and German Scout-Type Youth Organizations in the Czech Lands Title: "Outdoor Education" and German Scout-Type Youth Organizations in the Czech Lands Abstract: The thesis deals with the formation and history of German youth organizations in the Czech Lands. It especially covers those organizations that either directly referred to the Scout movement originating in the UK or US, or at least adopted the fundamental educational methods and principles of working with the youth which were typical for these movements. These organizations marked a revolutionary change in the approach to youth and their education. Such a change was possible thanks to a series of philosophical, pedagogical and political transformations in the society. Scout movements were especially built on the modern philosophical theories based on the ideas of American and German philosophers. However, the roots of this approach to nature and to human education can be traced to the early modern era, when the first modern approaches to teaching appeared and were generally applied under the changing economic and social environment of a modern society. In addition to philosophy, the movement was also influenced by a number of other social, political, ideological and cultural phenomena. The origins of these organizations can be seen...
