Exchange rate differences and their impact on the economy of the firm Altech, spol. s r. o. Bachelor thesis. Brno: Mendel University in Brno, 2015. Bachelor's thesis deals with the emergence of exchange rate differences and their impact on the economy of the firm Altech, spol. s r.o. The theoretical part describes the net income, financial statement and closure of accounts. The thesis also deals with emergence and sorting of exchange rate differences. The practical part analyses the development of the euro exchange rate for respective years. This part also evaluates impact of changes of exchange rate and impact of exchange rate differences on the economy of the firm Altech, spol. s r. o. In the practical part, there is the solution for ensuring stability of net income and for avoiding fluctuations of exchange rates.

Regarding the increasing influence of People's Republic of China on the world markets, this thesis studies its economic development leading to its success and firm position in today's international trade. The historical economic development is described paying special attention to the trade reforms, which came into force at the end of 1970s and the beginning of 1980s. Consequently, the membership in the World Trade Organization and the crucial factors supporting the quick increase of the country's importance are described in more detail, specifically the labour, natural resources, exchange rate policy, human capital and savings and investments. Detailed analysis of the current commodity and territory structure of the People's Republic's of China international trade is provided, followed by information about the development of its position among its world competitors. Also, its competitiveness is evaluated, focusing on both strong and weak parts of the economy.

The objective of this bachelor thesis is to develop an understanding of international trade. The bachelor thesis has two parts. The first part deals with theoretical perspective of international trade and its application on tax problems, foreign exchange markets, duties, pricing policies and documents. The second part shows the application of accounting procedures on particular company. The accounting procedures and practises of company are scrutinised and explained. Alternative evaluation methods are also created and applied on the business results of company.

Does exchange rate influece petrol price?

This paper tries to find a relationship between retail price of gasolin and Exchange rate of USD. For analysis uses monthly data for period of 1/2000-4/2012 for three states of European union: Czech republic, Hungary and Republic of Poland. Variables for this model are exchange rate of USD and domestic currency, crude oil price, average income and season. Even with problems, which models have, they assure about fundamental influence of crude oil on retail gasoline price and bring into discussion the influence od USD for small open economies, which are not able to influence the crude oil price by themself. According to results 1% change will cause 0,73% change in detail gasoline price for Czech, 0,72% change for Hungary and 0,13% for Poland. Furthermore the paper examines connection between exchange rate of EUR and gasoline prices in all countries, but fails to prove it.

The short-run impacts of real and nominal exchange rate between Czech Crown and Euro to Czech labour markets are investigated. 27 different labour markets are analysed, 5 of them are significantly affected by exchange rate with elasticities ranging from -0.09 to -0.50. Appreciation decrease employment in all of them. Non-linear method offered by Belke and Göcke is explained, used and compared with standard least squares. Standard labour market statistics are augmented with the job vacancies to find elasticity on number of jobs as well.
The fulfillment of the Maastricht convergence criteria by Greece

The main objective of this work is the fulfillment of the Maastricht convergence criteria by Greece. The first chapter deals with the general characteristics, historical, political and economical development since World War II to the present. The second chapter shows and explains the Maastricht convergence criteria. The third chapter assesses the performance of Greece's convergence criteria before joining the EMU and fiscal performance during the membership in EMU. The first will focus on the implementation of the nominal convergence criteria in the 3rd stage of EMU, under which the Greeks as the only candidate country for membership were not admitted. The second objective pursued is the implementation of the fiscal criteria for membership in EMU from 2001 to present.
Development of the euro exchange rate in relation to the ECB interest rates

The first part of this bachelor thesis describes the monetary policy of the ECB. This chapter is linked together with the second chapter, where the analysis of the development of the interest rates of the ECB is carried out. The third chapter tries to fulfil the main objective of this thesis - the empirical analysis of the relationship between the exchange rates of the euro against four different currencies, US dollar, British pound, Swiss franc and Czech crown, and the interest rate differential of the interest rates of relevant central banks. The last chapter shortly illustrates the impacts of the euro exchange rates development on companies in the euro area.
Postwar German inflation and its emergence to hyperinflation in 1923

The bachelor thesis focuses on postwar inflation in Germany and on how the inflation moved up to hyperinflation. In the first part I would like to analyze the period to the year of 1914. How the central bank of German Empire functioned and in what condition had public finance occured before the war. The other parts deal with the course of war and postwar period in Weimar republic to the year of 1923. I tried to clarify, which sources were used by german government to finance the war and what role played here the central bank. I also consider, what influence had the total sum of reparation payments on deepening the inflation in Germany, which were set by Treaty of Versailles. In conclusion, I will summarize the stabilizing effect of german currency.

Tato práce si dává za úkol stanovit optimální týdenní portfolio složené z burzovních indexů s přihlédnutím k měnovému riziku a zpracovává data vývoje jednotlivých indexů i směnných kurzů od roku 1999. Optimální portfolio jsem zkoumal z hlediska investora v amerických dolarech, eurech a českých korunách. Na základě analýzy výsledků jsou stanoveny faktory, které rozhodujícím způsobem ovlivňují složení portfolia.
