Comparison of the Macroeconomic Development of the Slovak Republic, the Czech Republic and the Netherlands

Aim of this bachelor's thesis is to compare economic development of the Slovak Republic, the Czech Republic and the Netherlands. The goal is to choose and evaluate the macroeconomic development of the mentioned countries in the time period from the year 2008 until the year 2016. Indicators as export, import, net export, exchange rate, inflation rate, unemployment rate and gross domestic product were used. In the theoretical part, the chosen indicators of economic performance are defined and explained. The practical part is focused on the analysis of these indicators of the chosen countries and on the following comparison (development between years, development between countries). Outcome from the identified analyses are evaluations and recommendations for the chosen countries, how it is possible to improve the situation in the countries to achieve higher economic productivity and stability.
Automobilový priemysel na Slovensku ako hlavný ťahač slovenskej ekonomiky a jej vývoja

The aim of this work is to prove the mutual relationship and dependence between the Automotive industry and the Slovak economy. First half of practical part calculates cor- relation coefficients between five potential bonds of individual performance indicators (e.g. Revenues of car manufacturers and Slovak nominal GDP). Strong correlation coefficients between these bonds prove that there is a significant mutual relationship and strong dependence. Second half of practical part presents very comprehensive SWOT analysis of the automotive industry in Slovakia. The aim of the analysis is to emphasize the strong two-way relationship. Additionally, to propose, how could the automotive industry accelerate the Slovak economy if influenced properly and how it could overcome upcoming threats that could have a negative impact on the economy of the country.
The Results of the Transition Process in Visegrad Four

The thesis deals with the process of economic transition and its results in Poland, Hungary, the Czech Republic a the Slovak Republic, i.e. countries of Visegrad four. The paper describes the functioning of centrally planned economy and the general process of transition to a market economy. It also mentions different theoretical approaches. Furthermore it analyses the development of transition reforms in particular countries and compares the results of individual transition strategies.
Analysis of the Slovak economy since 1993

Diploma thesis studies macroeconomical and fiscal progress of the Slovac Republic from the year 1993 with the strong focus on reformative arrangements in the area of public finance in the time period 2003 and 2004. The content targets evaluation of the causes of the refomative packet and his significance for the following progress of the slovac economy and fiscal area. The first part of the thesis evaluates economic policy till the year 2002, which passes over against background of the transformation process of the national economy, together with the identification of the status which led to the preparation and confirmation of the reformative legislation. Next part of the work studies the content of the accepted arrangaments itself and changes, which were brought to the Slovac Republic. The third part of the thesis follows the analytical evaluation of the real changes from the macroeconomical and fiscal part of view. Final part extends the knowledge with the international format through the comparation of the similar reform projects in Hungary, Estonia and Latvia and at the same time evaluates the stage and potential risks of the current economical and fiscal progression of the Slovac Republic
