The findings of the interest of children and adolescents about snowboarding and skiing in the South Bohemia

The aim of the work is to accomplish the social-pedagogical research in the area of skiing and snowboarding among children and adolescents in South Bohemia. The first part concentrates on history and equipment of both winter sports. The practical part in the beginning of this work is focused on the selection of appropriate research methods to ensure the reliability of the investigation. This is followed by a selection of a representative of the population who support the validity of the survey and data collection. The focus of the work is based on evaluation of the data obtained, since it can be used in schools when planning winter courses. Analysis and interpretation of the findings of the research not only reveals the real interest in the sport, but is expected to be used in the planning of school activities.
Use of protective equipment and precautionary measures in the leisure activities of children, youth and adults

The subject of my Bachelor is about the use of protective elements in special activities like inline skating, cycling, skiing and snowboarding. Theoretically part engages in analysis of applicable literature and informs about this theme. This work describes protective elements, which can be used and important security. At the practically part I have tried to elucidate answers to questions: Which security elements are used the most? What kind of the reasons are for using or not using? And eventually, what is the difference in use of protective elements between children, youth and adults?
Comparison of selected skiresorts in the Czech Republic and Austria

The bachelor thesis deals with comparison of selected ski resorts in the Czech Republic and Austria. The aim was to compare and subsequent evaluation of selected ski resorts in both countries. For comparison was selected one ski resort from the Czech Republic (Skiarena Krkonoše) and one from Austria (Gasteiner Tal). The theoretical part describes the basic concepts associated with skiing, ski resorts and organizations working in that field. The second chapter analyzes in detail the selected mountain areas. In the description of the individual centers are listed length and difficulty of the slopes, number of lifts and ski pass prices in the resorts. The main part includes a comparison of selected factors, the SWOT analysis of both ski areas and selected results of the survey, which came out better for Austrian ski resorts. Finally there were evaluated the results of previous research and designed some recommendations to improve Czech ski resorts.

The main objective was to map network of ski resorts and their overall approach to handicapped people as well as to suggest design of a ski resort which would fully match needs of handicapped people.
Elaboration of selected parts of technique and methodology of parallel turns in DVD format

The aim of this diploma thesis is to facilitate better knowledge both in a written form and by an instructional video record to those who have not become familiar with this popular winter sport with a long tradition yet. The thesis includes a brief history introduction and explains equipment and safety rules. It provides general ski exercises for beginners and thus prepares them for learning of basic ski skills. Games are included as a mean of better acquirements and enjoyment. They are followed by parallel turns which are primarily defined by technique and biomechanics perspectives. Most frequent mistakes and selected preparatory exercises together with turns are presented as well. The DVD is supposed to introduce a beginner skier into commonly practised and well-proven parallel turns.
Analysis of tourism services at Lipno

The main poit of the work was the Lipno region and analysis of tourism services (accommodation, food, infrastructure, services for bikers, skiers, motorists, supplement services). And than was judged level of staff, cleanness, order and price too. After marketing research was realized data complied to tables, graphs. These informations was judged to client, environment, employment. Was proposed move too help this region in attractive. The main areas were: 1. A better quality for local inhabitants, 2. Infrastructure and environment, 3. Development of tourism, 4. Support for enterprisers. Than was offered innovation product package and comparison among Lipno region, Austria, Germany.

Nowadays there are a lot of negative impacts on health. Doing exercises is one way how to be protected. In winter, skiing seems to be the best choice for its versatility. It is possible to include the skiing training course for primary school into Czech valid curriculum. The questionnaires were sent into the elementary schools in the district of Strakonice. Returned ones were analyzed and a situation on running the skiing training courses within primary schools was mapped.
Finding the downhill runing and turning techniques by public in the Czech republic\\

The thesis is foucused on finding downhill runing techniques and turning techniques of public in the Czech Republic. The work aims to determine what techniniques are used by public in the Czech mountains and how good their technique is. During the main ski season of the year 2006 the rating was provided in four biggest and well {--} known resort. A short hidden observational method was used for finding the results. Techniques were classifiing by present trends and aspects and the results were processing to the tables and graphes. This thesis should help to chart the techniques used by the public in the Czech ski resorts.
Sport centres in the Czech Republic - advantages for tourism

This graduation thesis examines ski centres in the Czech Republic, mainly its most frequent problems they face. The other objectives are to find out the structure of their skiers, how is promotion important for them and what measures they implement to help their development and visit rate. For these reasons was prepared a questionnaire and its results offer a survey of opinions of Czech ski centres representatives.
Comparison of ski resorts in the Czech republic and France

Goal of the thesis has been deep analysis of winter ski resorts in the Czech republic and France and finding an optimal ski resort for a week holiday. Set of criterias important for average czech skier for selection of a resort was designed accordingly to the results of a survey made on sample of czech population. Supplementary goal is to prove a hypothesis that rather than the size of a resort, the quality and scope of services (not only ski-related) really matters.
