Development of process parameters for Selective Laser Melting technology for processing of aluminum alloy AlSi7
Zvoníček, Josef ; Dočekalová, Kateřina (referee) ; Koutný, Daniel (advisor)
The diploma thesis deals with the study of the influence of process parameters of AlSi7Mg0.6 aluminum alloy processing using the additive technology Selective Laser Melting. The main objective is to clarify the influence of the individual process parameters on the resulting porosity of the material and its mechanical properties. The thesis deals with the current state of aluminum alloy processing in this way. The actual material research of the work is carried out in successive experiments from the welding test to the volume test with subsequent verification of the mechanical properties of the material. Material evaluation in the whole work is material porosity, stability of individual welds, hardness of the material and its mechanical properties. The results are compared with the literature.
Measuring probe tips in engineering metrology
Böhm, Jakub ; Harčarík, Matej (referee) ; Jankových, Róbert (advisor)
This diploma thesis deals with measuring touches problems in industrial metrology. Thesis describes adhesive wear and tear which is caused by measuring probes when dynamical measuring is being concluded. Measuring of damaged component made of silumin and its different changes of texture by different measuring probes are evaluated. Measuring touches are made of titanium nitride, silicon nitride, zirconium, bearing chrome steel, ruby, experimental composite material and nanocrystalline diamond.
Analysis of non-metalic inclusions in motor heads castings and suggestion on their remove
Dratnal, Lukáš ; Lána, Ivo (referee) ; Roučka, Jaromír (advisor)
Improving the quality of metal castings for serial production of automotive industry, leading to improvements in the properties of casts and their lower costs. This publication analyzes the non-metallic inclusions contained in casts of heads of internal combustion engines, molded of Nemak Czech Republic, Ltd. Tackling includes analysis of size, shape, chemical composition and hardness of the specific non-metallic inclusions. The thesis describes the purity metal holding furnaces and proposals to eliminate inclusions from metal.
Color metallography of foundry alloys
Nekuda, Pavel ; Záděra, Antonín (referee) ; Kaňa, Václav (advisor)
The theoretical part of the diploma thesis deals with the preparation and application of the most common color etchants and in the practical part, the applicability of selected reagents is tested. The obtained results are compared with the findings obtained from previous research works. Attention was mainly focused on etching samples of alloyed cast irons with Beraha's I, Beraha-Martensite and Beraha's CdS reagents in order to find the optimal method of color etching of austempered ductile iron. These samples differed in their chemical composition and wall thickness of the initial Y-block. Image analysis was also performed, where the sizes of the individual color areas, obtained by the Beraha's I reagent, were determined on the microstructures. The practical part of the thesis also deals with the application of Weck's reagent on two samples of AlSi7Mg silumin, while only one of them was heat treated.
Optimization of die casting technology of a thin-walled casting
Míšek, Jakub ; Přecechtěl, Petr (referee) ; Cupák, Petr (advisor)
The aim of this work is to suggest changes of technological process, which will reduce amount of casting defects in cast made by high pressure method. The cast is casting by Alfred Engelmann CZ, spol. s.r.o. from aluminum alloy EN AB - AlSi12 (Fe). Current technology was analyzed and also was made detailed description of the high-pressure casting technology, including a description of materials and machines. To determine the causes of defects and their effects were done casting experimental test series. The results of this experiment showed that the set of casting parameter has a significant influence on the quality of the casting. It was also shown that the preparation of the melt affects the porosity of the casting. At the end was suggested changes of technological process.
Water soluble cores for aluminum alloys and their influence on the surface quality of castings
Blažík, Petr ; Tomek, Ladislav (referee) ; Kaňa, Václav (advisor)
The goal of this thesis is to examine a possible influence of the water soluble cores on the microstructure of commonly used aluminum alloys AlSi7Mg and AlSi10Mg in the lost wax technology. This thesis only deals with the changes of the eutecticum on the contact surface between the metal and the core and its surroundings where interactions can appear between the core based on the alkali salts NaCl and KCl and the alloy modified by sodium or strontium. The experimental part investigates the influence of the alkali salts on the modification additives and the modification of the structure itself.
