Posouzení využitelnosti vybraných listnatých dřev pro výrobu kompozitu na bázi dřeva
Kašpařík, Matěj
The bachelor thesis deals with the issue of the possibility of replacing spruce wood in the production of OSB with hornbeam and birch wood. The purpose of the thesis is to compare selected physical and mechanical properties of OSB made of these woods with standardized properties of OSB. In the first part, the origin, characteristics and current use of OSB are presented. The second part deals with the material and methodology of all the tests performed. The following properties of the boards were investigated: moisture content, flexural strength and elastic limit, density profile, swelling, delamination and shear strength of the glued joint. In the third part of the paper, the results of the tests and their comparison with the standard requirements for OSB are presented, followed by a summary and discussion.
Pevnost lepených spojů obkladových panelů břízová překližka sklo
Matějovská, Lucie
The diploma thesis deals with gluing selected types of wooden materials (birch and beech plywood) with glass and two types of adhesives (Sikasil SG-20 and Soudal PU Construct). The strength of bondes splices was measured by tensile and bending test in an Instron 3365 tensile test machine. The theoretical part focused introduction of basicofbonding technology. The practical part focused made of bonding splicesand evaluation of results from tensile and bending test.
Experimentální mechanická analýza konstrukčního prvku LSL s mechanicky diferenciovanými vrstvami
Jadrný, Radek
The thesis is focused on the use of alternative wood in the form of wood waste for the production of wood-based structural composite material. Adverse conditions lead to the deterioration of wood quality, thus generating a larger proportion of waste, which is very important to recycle in terms of storing harmful carbon. Therefore, this thesis deals with the production of the latest strand agglomerated structural material such as Intrallam (LSL) which is almost unavailable and unknown material for the country. For the experimental mechanical analysis of the LSL structural element with mechanically differentiated layers, spruce and larch wood strands were produced with parameters corresponding to those of commercially used strands with dimensional variation of 0.7 - 0.9 mm thickness, 20 to 50 mm width and 300 mm length. For the production of one LSL board, 90% of the strands with a fraction x > 10x10 mm and 10% of the strands with a fraction 5x5 < x < 10x10 mm were used. Larch (REF-MD) and spruce (REF-SM) reference Intrallam and Intrallam with mechanically differentiated layers (MDV) were produced for the research work. The surface layers of the MDV Intrallam were composed of larch strands and the core layer of spruce strands. To ensure excellent mechanical, physical and chemical properties, the LSL was bonded with polymer methylenediphenyl-diisocyanate (pMDI) at a strand moisture content of 7%. The manufactured LSL samples were subjected to mechanical tests – bending with DIC, internal bond strength, shear strength and compressive strength. The results showed that larch wood is a very favorable alternative wood species for the production of structural agglomerated materials.
Additional reinforcement of wood elements
Janoušek, Radek ; Vejpustek,, Zdeněk (referee) ; Vaněrek, Jan (advisor)
This diploma thesis deals with the possibilities of additional reinforcement of wooden elements using different types of BFRP materials. In the practical part, an experiment of reinforcing plywood with external reinforcement using BFRP fabrics with different basis weights was performed. As part of the strength tests performed, the specimens were subjected to bending and shear stresses. To verify the bonding quality of the plywood, the bodies were exposed to the effect of elevated temperature and a delamination test was performed to determine the bonding quality of the plywood joints. The achieved values were evaluated and compared with the available literature.
Gluing of FDM 3d printed parts from PLA
Šlimar, Filip ; Slaný, Martin (referee) ; Zemčík, Oskar (advisor)
The thesis deals with the theory of 3D printing, materials for printing and bonding. It focuses on FDM printing and PLA material. It also compares gluing with other methods and deals with the distribution of adhesives, the gluing procedure and tests of glued joints. The work, based on literature studies, proposes an experiment to evaluate selected adhesives. The practical part contains a description, results and evaluation of the experiment. The evaluation of adhesives is based on tensile and shear strength.
New directions for waterproofing of underground transport
Čech, Tomáš ; Čížek, Luboš (referee) ; Šťastník, Stanislav (advisor)
This diploma thesis focuses on the implementation of waterproofing of underground constructions using an LLDPE membrane hinged on anchors. In the future, this method will replace the commonly used waterproofing system in Scandinavia with extruded polyethylene foam. This method of tunnel construction and waterproofing is compared with the NRTM method, often used in Central Europe. The thesis describes the installation of a waterproofing system, especially materials, accessories, welding devices and auxiliary installation equipment. The main focus of the thesis is to verify the reliability of the individual types of welds and to assess the waterproofing system in terms of implementation and environmental demands.

Bonding in the automotive industry
Krejčí, Adam ; Hanáčková, Pavla (referee) ; Kubíček, Jaroslav (advisor)
The thesis presents a literature study of adhesive bonding technology. The work deals with the advantages and disadvantages of adhesive bonding, design of adhesive joints, technological processes of adhesive bonding and the division of adhesives. The thesis also discusses various materials used for the construction of car bodywork and their properties. The main focus of the work is on the use of adhesive bonding in the car industry, comparing traditional and modern technology used for the construction of bus bodywork. In the experimental part of the thesis, the aim is to reveal the influence of surface treatment on the resulting shear strength when employing metal to metal bonding.
The study of adhesion of glued balistic composites on the dependence of materials used.
Dobiáš, Jiří ; Másilko, Jiří (referee) ; Šiler, Pavel (advisor)
The aim of this work was to investigate the properties of bonded ballistic materialsBalistic composites are mainly glued to reduce weight while keeping their protective properties. On this basis, the materials used were ballistic steel, ceramics, rubber kevlar, non-gummed kevlar, Dyneema and fiberglass. For bonding used were a one-component adhesive Collano 36.104 and two-component adhesive Biresin U1305. The strength of the joint was measured in shear at tensile loads. From these results, deformation energy was further calculated.
