Breathing hard at the pastures

My bachelor's thesis is based on a posthumanist approach to (non)wild nature. It simultaneously analyses it based on examples of visual human representation of fauna and flora and the question of "naturalness". I explore the contemporary aesthetics of depicting "nature" in visual art on the one hand and in the space of social media on the other, as I consider them as interconnected spheres. Today, one can observe a tendency to define oneself against the romanticization of wild nature and the harm that this romanticization causes. Consequently, both sources influence the root of the visual language that I am adopting in the context of the elaboration of my bachelor thesis. In addition to the clear continuity with my previous works, in which I already developed the theme of plants, especially grasses, variously set in landscapes without humans, I use in the bachelor thesis the language of existential memes manifestly avoiding the romanticization of nature and its anthropomorphization. The multimedia approach should resonate with the absence of boundaries between romanticization and non-romanticization of what we call nature. Through a combination of media, I explore how my demarcation against the romanticization of nature further manifests itself, observing that resistance to romanticization eventually breeds a new romanticization and that, as humans, we tend to aestheticize everything nonhuman endlessly. The essayistic-poeticizing text, which I take as another means of expression, serves me precisely to bring out some of the levels of this complex issue, such as the critical reflective layer. Through my work, I ask questions about how these mechanisms apply in art, what particular aesthetic patterns or trends do, and what kind of aesthetic experience they make possible. Can one be both romantic and urgently engaged in the face of the apocalypse?

Natural colors through the eyes of pre-school children - developing color sensibility

The bachelor's thesis focuses on the development of sensory sensitivity of preschool children through natural media and is divided into a theoretical part and a practical part. The theoretical part of the thesis examines colors and their perception in nature, the use of natural media in contemporary visual arts, and the planning of an art education in kindergarten. The practical part describes the specific planning and implementation of an art series using natural colors and its reflection. The conclusion summarizes the findings, which indicate that some children can be highly sensitive to subtle differences in shades and less saturated colors in nature, although children generally respond best to vibrant and intense colors. The research also highlights that children are capable of independently finding materials and tools for artistic creation and show interest in observing and perceiving the colors of nature. Based on the findings, the thesis formulates principles for planning art activities with natural colors.

Deconstructing the Fantastic World of Wes Anderson - The Philosophy Behind the Artificial Surface of a Contemporary Director

1 Abstract The subject of this thesis is Wes Anderson's cinematic world. The analysis draws an auteur study of this contemporary director in order to discover what sensibility his cinema demonstrates. Anderson's sentiment causes a reinterpretation of lost values and generates specific thinking, which allow it to be considered as a mediation of his own filmic "philosophy." The backbone theory consists of philosophy, in general, and of postmodernism and metamodernism, specifically. The three postmodern elements to be discussed are the meta-cinematic techniques, pastiche and nostalgia prevalent in Anderson's oeuvre. However, his unique employment of these features transgresses the anticipated postmodern tone and creates a new structure of feeling characterized by metamodern hopefulness. Therefore, Anderson uses postmodern means to create a metamodern sensibility that signalizes sincerity. Focusing on the three above-mentioned attributes of Anderson's filmography in both a postmodern and metamodern context helps to deconstruct his highly visual and thematically patterned cinema in order to reveal where the particular sensibility of the director stems from. Aesthetics of Camp

This thesis deals with the phenomenon of camp and its manifestations in modern western culture. The aim of this thesis is to indentify the signifiant features typical for camp as an aesthetic stance and for camp as an object. Attention is paid to the relationship of the camp and kitsch, and their differences and similarities. The relationship of camp to the high and low art or dandyism is also examined. The main text used for this thesis is an essay "Notes on Camp" by Susan Sontag.
