The Betting Agent

This master thesis deals with design and implementation of betting agent. It covers issues such as theoretical background of an online betting, probability and statistics. In its first part it is focused on data mining and explains the principle of knowledge mining form data warehouses and certain methods suitable for different types of tasks. Second, it is concerned with neural networks and algorithm of back-propagation. All the findings are demonstrated on and supported by graphs and histograms of data analysis, made via SAS Enterprise Miner program. In conclusion, the thesis summarizes all the results and offers specific methods of extension of the agent.
Customer Profile Characteristics For The Betting Industry in Czech Republic

Title: Customers typology of Czech betting companies. Objectives: The main objective of this research is to create a typology of curent customers typology of Czech betting companies. Methods: In order to obtain the results, marketing quantitative research was conducted in the form of both electronic and personal questioning. The basic set was all bettors in the Czech Republic and the sample was composed of 210 respondents. They were represented by customers who bet online through the computer and through the application, as well as those from physical bookmakers. The field ran for two weeks. Results: The results of the research are presented in the analytical part of this work. They are a source of hypothesis validation and, for the synthetic part, in which, by means of mathematical-descriptive methods, the bookmakers were divided into three types, briefly named as Computers, Applications and Offices. Economics of Betting Companies

The thesis provides a comprehensive overview of the working of betting companies and characterizes the Czech lottery and gambling market. It analyzes the main reasons why the economics of sport deals with the economics of gambling. Special attention is paid to the bookmakers market. Furthermore, it analyzes the domestic and European legislation concerning with betting. It is explained the way of collecting of lottery an gambling levies and taxes.
Marketing of betting agencies

The aim of this bachelor's thesis is an analysis of betting agencies from the perspective of the marketing mix. The introductory theoretical part explains the terms marketing mix, SWOT analysis and marketing research. The practical part is then devoted to two largest Czech betting agencies - Tipsport Inc. and Fortuna Inc. Emphasis is placed mainly on the evaluation of two parts of the marketing mix - product and price, including a comparison with foreign competitors. The following is a SWOT analysis characterizing the current situation on the betting market. Services offered are evaluated through the customer survey. The final section proposes measures to improve the current situation.

The thesis describing Strategy of business unit is divided into three parts. First theoretical part summarizes strategic management together with strategic analysis, consisting of external and internal part. Second part describes operations on betting market, contemporary Czech market, its development and actual services offered. Last part analyses the strategy of Tipsport Company. It contains basic characteristic of the company followed by development of individual parts of business strategy such as SWOT and PEST analysis and marketing strategy.
