Kábrtová, Denisa ; Gazdič, Dominik (referee) ; Fridrichová, Marcela (advisor)
Bachelor work is focused on the development of self-levelling compound based on ternary binder system that's comprised from portland cement, gypsum and aluminate cement. For suggested mixtures it's mainly focused on using two kinds of plasticizing additives. And afterwards we assess their effect on the technological properties of developed substance.
Preparation of high performance sulphate binder by nonpressure method
Urban, Karel ; Novák, Jan (referee) ; Dvořák, Karel (advisor)
Institut of Technology building materials and components in FAST VUT Brno is for several years engageding by research of unpressurized production of high sulphate binders and also by developing a dehydrating apparatus. This work follows on this research. The main aim of this work is to prepare the alpha calcium sulfate hemihydrate by method of dehydration in the various solutions the chloride salts of the same molal concentration in an innovative dehydration apparatus. Another aim is monitoring the influence dehydrating solutions on the basis of KCl, NaCl and CaCl2 on the properities of made gypsum.
Binders and Mixtures Based on Calcium Sulfate
Hanáček, Jan ; Smetanová,, Lenka (referee) ; Gazdič, Dominik (advisor)
This Diploma Thesis deals with the research and advancements in the field of sulphate binders, especially the anhydrite binder. The theoretical part of the thesis is dedicated to the fundamentals of sulphate binders and anhydrite binders. Its second part also introduces standard requirements for screed coatings together with technological methods of their application. Practical part of the thesis looks at the research and production of anhydrite binder with special emphasis on self-levelling compounds. Various types of plasticizers were used in these compounds and their effectiveness and final product quality are compared.
Waste material based high-performance sulphate binders
Hájková, Iveta ; Kolář,, Karel (referee) ; Rovnaníková, Pavla (referee) ; Gazdič, Dominik (advisor)
The topic of this dissertation was the preparation of a high-quality sulphate binder based on secondary raw materials. For this purpose, the work was primarily focused on the laboratory preparation of beta gypsum from the selected industrial gypsum, the design of the technological process of production and its verification by pilot tests. In the next step, the thesis dealt with the modification of beta gypsum by a selected set of liquefiers. In addition to commercial dehumidifiers, the possible beta casting of beta gypsum was tested by increasing the zeta potential of the gypsum suspension. At the end, a complete complex of construction products was developed based on laboratory and semi-prepared beta plasters, consisting of gypsum plasters, mastics, gypsum premix and small plaster casts.
Research in the preparation of self-leveling anhydrite screeds
Běťák, Rostislav ; Smetanová,, Lenka (referee) ; Gazdič, Dominik (advisor)
Bachelor´s thesis extends the existing results in the field of research of an anhydrite binder and it is divided into two sections. The theoretical section is focused on general sulphate binders and anhydrite binders. Further it contains the description of the technology of floor screed application, demands of norms and comparison of screeds, which are used nowadays. The experimantal section concrens with the research and the development of an anhydrite binder and mainly the utilization of this binder in the field of cast self-leveling floor screeds. For the preparation of self-leveling mixtures were used two different types of anhydrite and theirs main features were compared.
Anhydrite Binders with Internal Excitation
Kantorová, Kateřina ; Vavrušková,, Lenka (referee) ; Gazdič, Dominik (advisor)
The bachelor thesis deals with the internal excitation of anhydrite mortars and is divided into theoretical and experimental part. The theoretical part deals with the general theory of sulfate binders and products during the dehydration of gypsum. Furthermore, the internal excitation of anhydrite is solved. The practical part follows the previous research of the possibilities of excitation of sulphate binders based on anhydrite, which have taken place so far at the thd institute. From the previous bachelor's thesis, which is followed by this bachelor's thesis, two exciters were selected, which were used to perform the internal excitation of anhydrites. The evaluation was based on XRD analysis.
Methods of excitation of binders based on anhydrite
Sedlák, Michal ; Dvořák, Karel (referee) ; Gazdič, Dominik (advisor)
The bachelor thesis deals with the internal excitation of anhydrite-based mortars. In the theoretical part, the general theory of sulphate binders, the formation of gypsum binders and their resulting products during firing are described. The theoretical part also describes the anhydrite mortars, their hydration process and collects the existing research on anhydrite excitation in the world, where, among other things, it deals with the further usability of the resulting gypsum by-products. The experimental part focuses on the internal excitation of anhydrite, which is based on the existing research at the THD Institute. The work builds on previous studies that also dealt with internal excitation research. It includes an experiment performed to optimize the thermal regime in the form of increased isothermal endurance with subsequent evaluation by XRD analysis.
Preparation of modified tricalcium aluminate phases and study of their hydratation processes
Vávrová, Alžběta ; Koplík, Jan (referee) ; Másilko, Jiří (advisor)
This diploma thesis deals with the preparation of modified tricalcium aluminate phases using sodium ions, and the study of their hydration processes and products. The X-ray diffraction analysis, isothermal calorimetry, laser diffraction, and scanning electron microscopy with energy dispersion analysis were used to solve this task. The preparation of modified tricalcium aluminate phases using high temperature methods has been described in the experimental section. Furthermore, the X-ray diffraction analysis was used to determine the purity of the prepared phases and the scanning electron microscopy with energy dispersion analysis was used to define the volume of sodium. Laser diffraction was used to measure a particle size distribution in the individual phases. Subsequently, hydration of the pure phases was performed in an isothermal calorimeter. It was followed by hydration of phases in the presence of different gypsum content and then in the presence of saturated portlandite solution. Hydration of some samples was stopped in order to better understand the hydration process. Hydration products were studied by X-ray diffraction analysis. The obtained results were compared with each other and the influence of sodium ions on both the structure of the prepared phases and the course of hydration and its products has been discussed. The effect of adding different volumes of gypsum and portlandite on the course of hydration of the individual phases was also compared.
