Součková, Lenka ; Bačáková, Radka (advisor) ; Doktor, Martin (referee)
Tittle: Comparative analysis of addirect forward stroke perfomed on single canoe in flatwater canoeing and in paddle pool. Goals: The goals of study is to describe and compaq the movement pattern of a forvard paddle stroke on a canoe in flatwater and in the paddling pool. Methods: The work has mixed empirical-theoretical character, The study is a descriptive individual study. Muscle activity was measured using surface electromyography with synchronized video recording (kinematic analysis). Results: We found differences in muscles involved in the direct paddle stroke forward on canoe and paddle pool. The main differences are, that on the water the boat goes to the paddle and in the paddle pool, we push the water around us.In the first case the athlete push the boat towards to the paddle. However in the paddle pool the athlete just pulls paddle through the water. Another important difference is, that in the paddle pool we do not develop the "water feeling" and in the paddle pool does not have to keep balance. Canoeist is on solid grand all the time. For the winter season, we can recommend a paddle pool as a specific strengthening, but the paddling or ride on water on water does not replace it. Miškovský, Radek ; Bílý, Milan (advisor) ; Kovářová, Lenka (referee)
Title: Determining the relationship of spiroergometric testing on the canoe ergometer and in canoe sprint by elite competitors. Objectives: The aim of the study was to determine the relationship between the results of aerobic exercise diagnostics in canoeing and on the canoe ergometer by Czech national team members in canoe sprint. Methods: Within our study we tried to find out and compare the physiological response of two functional load exercise diagnostics in canoeing and on the canoe ergometer. To obtain the functional values of physiological indicators in both tests we used mobile spiroergometric equipment Cortex Metamax 3B and sport tester Polar RS 800. Results: Testing canoeists paddling on flat water reached the following average functional values: maximal heart rate (HR) 181 min-1 (±3,9), maximal values of blood lactate (LA) 8,04 ml.l-1 (±1,6), maximal oxygen consumption (VO2max) 51,6 ml.kg.min-1 (±6,7), maximal ventilation (VEmax) 140,2 l.min-1 (±26,5), respiratory rate (RR) 51 min-1 (±3,7), metabolic load (Rmax) 1,14 (±0,07) and anaerobic threshold (ANT) 166 (±7,2). When paddling the canoe ergometer, they reached the average maximum values: maximal heart rate (HR) 181 min-1 (±5,2), maximal values of blood lactate (LA) 9,1 mmol.l-1 (±2,9), maximal oxygen consumption (VO2max) 56,4...

Mára, Petr ; Bílý, Milan (advisor) ; Kovářová, Lenka (referee)
Title: Determining the relationship of spiroergometric examination of sprint canoe competitors while paddling and at the arm crank ergometer. Objectives: The aim of this thesis was to investigate the relationship between functional indicators of aerobic exercise diagnostics on sprint canoe and at the arm crank ergometr. Methods: To obtain the data, we used a standardized stress test for arm crank ergometr. To to measure flatwater canoists while paddling, the spiroergonomic examination with the same stress protocol was used. The devices used during both experiments were sporttester Polar RS 800 and Cortex Metamax 3B device. To detect the functional relationships of measured values the correlation analysis was used. The degree of dependence was determined by Pearson correlation coefficient. Results: Total average difference between the values measured at arm crank ergometr and while paddling at sprint canoe was 2,13%. Correlation analysis showed a strong dependence in 4 of the 7 monitored fiction pointers: VO2 (r = 0,873), VO2max (r = 0,972), tidal volume (r = 0,775) and pulmonary ventilation (r = 0,786). As for the three remaining indicators; respiratory rate (r = -0,023), lactic acid (r = -0,08) and heart rate (r = -0,275) there was no statistically significant difference. Key words: Crank...

Gerčáková, Daniela ; Bílý, Milan (advisor) ; Kovářová, Lenka (referee)
Title: Comparison of selected anthropometric parameters of competitive quadrathletes and racing kayakers. Objectives: The aim of this work is to assess the somatotype and anthropometric characteristics in elite athletes in marathon kayakers and quadrathletes. Methods: This research included the analysis and comparison of two groups of athletes. Using the Heath-Carter system of measurement, somatotypes were calculated using the computer formula, 'Somatotype - Calculation and Analysis'. Body composition was determined through the use of skinfold calipers SK in conjunction with noninvasive bioelectrical impedance analysis (BIA). Specifically, the Tanita 980 MS and BIA 2000 measurement units. Results: Two research samples were developed (speed kayakers as one, quadrathletes as the other), whose results (set average) were compared. On the basis of anthropometric data and calculations, it was found that both research samples corresponded in their somatotype category, ectomorphic mesomorph. According to this research, the speed kayakers (with a focus on marathon distances), are generally taller and heavier than the quadrathlete sample, yet had relatively less body fat. Keywords: Somatotype, body composition, BIA, skinfold, quadrathlon, flatwater kayaking

Influence of DNS to kayak power Stroke
Davídek, Pavel ; Kobesová, Alena (advisor) ; Demeková, Júlia (referee)
The thesis deals with the possibility to influence the maximum power of kayaking stroke by the Dynamic Neuromuscular Stabilization approach. The most common injuries sustained during kayaking are affecting shoulders. The aim of this thesis was kinesiological analysis of kayaking movement. It shows patterns of shoulder muscles activity during the paddling cycle. Finally the thesis describes the Dynamic Neuromuscular Stabilization approach. Methods: Subjects were 20 flat water kayakers (mean age 21,85 +/- 2,37), which were randomized divided into two groups. Training of experimental group contained exercise according Dynamic Neuromuscular Stabilization approach. Specific exercise was chosen with DASH questionnaire. The same questionnaire was used at the end of the six weeks study to see the changes in the problems of the upper limb activity. The effect of the therapy was compared by maximum power of kayaking stroke, which was measured by paddling ergometer. Both groups were tested four times in 6 weeks. We followed also the actual effect of the therapy of Dynamic Neuromuscular Stabilization by measuring maximum power before therapy and immediately after exercise. Results: Maximum power of the stroke increased of 6,3% (p = 0,032) in experimental group. We found the positive effect of the actual...

- 6 - Abstract Title: Comparison of performance tests results determined during kayak spiroergometry with achieved kayak paddling performance. Objectives: The aim of the study was to determine relationships between functional parameters values found during kayak spiroergometry and sport performance at 1000 meters distance, and how are these relationships going to change based on training period. Methods: To determine statistical dependence between sport performance at 1000 meters distance and choosen factors of sport performance, the correlation research was used - as a variable-dependent value the final result of sport performance at 1000 meters distance was used, as a variable-independent amounts functional parameters values found during kayak spiroergometry were used. To discover the statistical dependence methods of Pearson's correlation coefficient and regression analysis were used. Results: General level of kayak-athletes from testing file indicated by functional parameters values and demonstrated by kayak spiroergometry performance depends on kayak- athlete's level of sport performance at 1000 meters distance in prepared-training period only, when importance for general condition is emphasized. We did not discover the same phenomenon based on pre-racing period testing results. Sport performance at...
