Restoration of the former fast in Hodíškov
Centner, Václav ; Špiller, Martin (referee) ; Guzdek, Adam (advisor)
The aim of the bachelor's thesis was to develop the concept of the studio work from the first semester of the third year, which we originally took from concept to documentation for the building permit in part B. Furthermore, the design was finalized in the documentation C for the implementation of the construction. The actual topic was the restoration of the fast house in Hodíšek, which has long since lost its original purpose and is now used as council housing for non-domestic local residents. The Rychta has also undergone several alterations to try to bring new qualities to it, which have been rather contradictory. The Rychta is located in Hodíškov, which is a small village among the hills of the Highlands. We drove to the place through winding roads barely wide enough for one car. Around the roads there were grown-up houses and we actually felt a bit like in another world after arriving from Brno. The Rychta stands on a hill, separating the former sugar factory from the rest of the village. From the hill the tavern looks down on the village and looks majestic as the patron saint of the place. There is also a small pond in the village, which makes the local climate more pleasant and provides a home for all kinds of animals and plants. Hodíškov has 150 inhabitants, so the fast house with its farm wing exceeds the capacity of the locals' demands for a place where they can meet and hold public gatherings. Therefore, in connection with the romantic nature of the place, I thought that the fast house with its farm wing could serve as a setting for weddings and larger social events. This will allow me to bring a more generous spatial experience to the vaulted spaces in the farm wing and restore the spirit of the interior spaces that has been lost during the remodeling of the past years. In my approach to the heritage values of the fast house I am trying to restore its dignity and grandeur on the other hand not forgetting and denying its history which has been so tarnished. Different parameters apply to the economic wing. During the rebuilding process, there were attempts to bring it closer to the speedway with various façade elements and the like. In working with these two buildings I try to establish firmly where each stands and what its role is and was. The wedding program required increased accommodation capacity, which I solved by adding a "barn" to the rear yard space.
Zadržování vody v krajině
ZAVADIL, Jan
The literal research summarizes water in the landscape. It also discusses the topic of retention capacity in the landscape. Basic information and history related to ponds are then provided. In the final part of this bachelor thesis, grant titles currently available in the Czech Republic, that address the issue of water retention in the landscape are listed. The practical part of this bachelor thesis focuses on the projects of Hydro & Kov company in the South Bohemian region over a span of thirteen years (2008-2021). The implementations were categorized according to the type of contract, budget and grant titles. The thesis includes a description of two selected constructions where the author of this bachelor's thesis was present. The findings from the research were transferred into 3 map outputs. A total of 97 implementations were examined in the selected area.
Monitoring of physico-chemical parameters on selected fisponds of the Vrbenské system
NEUŽIL, Tomáš
The aim of the bachelor's thesis was to measure selected physical and chemical indicators and then compare them with measurements that were carried out in previous years at individual ponds of the Vrbenské system near the statutory city of České Budějovice. Measurements took place at monthly intervals in the morning from April to September 2023. The measured physical parameters were water temperature and transparency. The measured chemical parameters were pH, O2 saturation in the water column and electrical conductivity.
The study reconstruction of the Těšík pond in the cadastral Horní Bory
Drašar, Zdeněk ; Princ, Michal (referee) ; Menšík, Pavel (advisor)
This diploma thesis deals with the proposal of reconstuction of the pond Těšík at the level of study. The introductory part of the thesis defines the terminology and the partition of small water reservoirs. The next practical part is focused to the locality of interest and its current state leading to the necessary reconstruction. This part is followed by the design of a technical solution for reconstruction based on hydrotechnical calculations and the graphics part.
Restoration of ponds in Moravia
Drašar, Zdeněk ; Novotný, Jaroslav (referee) ; Milerski, Rudolf (advisor)
This bachelor´s thesis is focused on the history of pond building from the begining of first settlement on the territory to the current state. In the first part is the work focused on the history of pond building generally and with available resources on the specific situation in Moravia. The second part addresses the modern pond building and fish farming in 19th and 20th century. The next section is devoted to the current state of building of the ponds and possibilities of renewal of lost ponds. In the last section is solved posibility of recovery specific area in the range of theoretical studies.
Small tanks in the cultural landscape
Királ, Martin ; Roubcová, Radka (referee) ; Milerski, Rudolf (advisor)
This bachelor thesis is mainly focused on preliminary design of a pond and it is divided into theoretical and practical part. The teoretical part is divided into three main chapters. First chapter deals with water, which is an important aspect of the life on the Earth, and its realationship to a landscape. The second chapter examines small water reservoirs, their functions, technical solutions and reconstruction of existing water reservoirs. The last theoretical part concetrates on ponds in Czech Republic and history of fish farming. The practical part includes preliminary design of the pond in Zbýšov in the district Brno-venkov, its hydrotechnical analysis and calculations, engineering report and photographs of the location.
Assessment of design small water reservoir in the village Mutenice in economic terms
Suchánek, Petr ; Doležal, Petr (referee) ; Menšík, Pavel (advisor)
This diploma thesis evaluates a design of a small water reservoir in Mutenice village from an economic point of view. This final work is a follow-up of the bachelor work of the same student, it completes it and improves on previously noticed inaccuracies. There are several aspects elaborated in the theoretical part, such as sellection of material for homogenous dam, safety spilway, accompanying woods in the flooding area of and especialy the evaluation of the commercial advantage of the water reservoir design. There are corrections of the bachelor work in the practical part of this study, based on the comments and lately found facts as well as the economical estimate based on the cost calculation of the construction. Content of the work are also technical drawings illustrating this take on the reservoir design and a detailed bill of material.
Home over water
Kosová, Karolína ; Kučera, Radim (referee) ; Struhala, Karel (advisor)
The subject of my bachelor thesis is a project of a new detached house with painting atelier in Martinice u Onšova. The designed house will be partly built partly on plot no. 140/2, the main part of the building is designed above the surface of the large pond (plot no. 145) Detached house for a four-member family has two overground floors. Parking is solved by a detached garage for two cars. Foundations are made up of reinforced concrete large diameter drilled pile and frame structure of strip foundation which supports loadbearing wall. Vertical loadbearing structures are designed of clay blocks. The vertical peripheral structures are provided with an insulation system with ventilated space. Floor-slab is designed of reinforced concrete. A two-layer barrel roof is a dominant of the building. A roof between detached house and atelier is designed as a walkable flat roof.
The small reservoirs as part of cultural landscape
Portová, Nikola ; Vrba, Ing Jan (referee) ; Milerski, Rudolf (advisor)
While the title of this thesis is “Small reservoirs as a part of the cultural landscape”, the focus of this study is much broader. The analysis goes beyond small water reservoirs, discussing both the historical and technical aspects of their restoration with emphasis on the south Moravian reservoir systems. The opening chapter explores the history of the relationship water has with both society and nature. In the second chapter, the focus shifts onto the various roles, the physical and technical characteristics, as well as the methods for restoring small water reservoirs. In the final chapter, the emphasis shifts from reservoirs to ponds - and their utilization for farming fish. This chapter starts by exploring the current pond systems across Czech Republic, and then compares today’s south Moravian pond systems to their historical beginnings.
