The bachelor thesis deals with the evaluation of the perception of women about equality of opportunity in the labour market. The theoretical part aims to describe the problems of gender equality in the labour market using scientific publications, statistics and other sources. It defines concepts related to gender issues, discrimination, the development of the status of women and equal opportunities in the labour market. The practical part used quantitative research to determine attitudes, opinions and experiences of women with the current state of equality of opportunities in the labour market, then the women's perspective on the issue was evaluated.

This diploma thesis aims at diversity management issue in selected Czech construction companies. The main target of the diploma thesis is to find out an attitude which these companies have for diversity and to propose how effectively apply diversity management in companies which are not still identified with this concept. Diploma thesis is divided into four chapters. Literary survey defines general concept related to given issue and findings from the area of diversity, gender and age management and its implementation into company practice. The second part shows examples of good practice from construction companies which already ap-plies diversity management. Mainstay of diploma thesis analyse internal environ-ment of selected construction companies via survey amongst employees, supple-mented with interviews with head managers of human resource departments. The final part of the diploma thesis contains references for effective application of diversity management in selected constructions companies.

This Bachelor thesis deals with the involvment of men and women at the labour market depending on kind of positions. The theoretical part of thesis concetrates on the definition of basic terms for example labour market, equality, discrimination, gender etc. The bachelor thesis is also interested in position men and women at the labour market, different jobs and remuneration at work. In practical part of bachelor thesis describes a research based on questionnaires with the aim discovered opinion women and men in different positions to use at labour market. The results data were interpreted and put into graphs and tables.

The bachelor thesis is focused on the issue of equal opportunities for men and women at the Municipal Office Šternberk. It focuses on the views of individual employees to equal opportunities. The theoretical part deals with legislation, the definitions of basic concepts such as equality and discrimination, gender and gender stereotypes, strategies promoting equal opportunities (gender mainstreaming, gender analysis, gender budgeting and gender audit). The bachelor thesis is also interested in the issue of selection process, career growth coupled with a glass ceiling barrier, segregation of the job market depending on the pay gap between men and women and the reconciliation of private and professional life. The practical part analyzes the representation of men and women in various positions. The study of internal documents was found representation of men and women in different positions. Subsequently, the data were processed into graphs and diagrams. Performing semi-structured interviews with employees of the Municipal Office Šternberk various positions, was determined attitude of staff to equal opportunities for men and women. Interviews were transcribed and on the basis of their results were made conclusions on the matter.
Barriers to women's entry into top civil service positions

The bachelor thesis deals with the problem of low representation of women in the top positions of the state administration. The thesis aims primarily to identify the barriers that female civil servants face when entering the top positions of the state administration. The theoretical part of the thesis introduces the theory of new institutionalism, specifically feminist institutionalism, and defines the necessary gender terminology and basic concepts for understanding the functioning of the civil service. The value anchoring of the thesis includes, for example, an explanation of the glass ceiling effect or the concept of the broken rung. Within the legal framework, the basic international and Czech legislation aimed at promoting equal opportunities is presented. The thesis employs elements of qualitative research, mainly using personal interviews with women in top positions in the civil service to obtain more detailed information. The interviews with the women respondents are further supplemented by the analysis and identification of relevant documents in the framework of equal opportunities. Bachelor’s thesis "Equal Opportunities in Construction Engineering" deals with gender equality of employment opportunities, work-life balance, alternative employment and employment of graduates. Basic terms are introduced in the theoretical part. Based on the hypotheses carried out questionnaire survey is evaluated in the practical part. According to the evaluation of the investigation, steps are proposed to improve equal opportunities in construction companies.

The aim of the thesis is to explore the situation in construction companies and comparison of theory with practise. The theoretical part introduces the basic terms and theories related to the topic. Based on a questionnaire survey, the practical part assesses the current situation in construction companies. In the end of the thesis is an evaluation theoretical and practical part, in order recommend prospective changes and conclusion of the thesis.
