Development of Play of 2-4years old Children in a Kindergarten

Doctoral thesis in its theoretical and practical parts focuses on the free play of children in a kindergarten and its development in a group of 2,5 - 4 years old children. The theoretical part provides a deeper understanding of play, especially with 2 - 4 years old children, and lays a foundation for the research. The practical part, based on two observations (in the span of one year and half a year) of free play of two homogenous groups of children, monitors the development of play and finds out, how the quality of play changes with individuals as well as the group. This part follows the process of incorporation of the child into the play group, influence of gender of the child on the choice of a toy. Then it focuses on the course of pretend and role plays of 2,5 - 4 years old children. It monitors which themes of plays and which roles children choose and how active children are in the play with the children of similar age. The main method of the research is observation. The conclusion from the outcome of the research shows importance of free play for a preschool child and the changes in its course and confirms the influence of free play in the process of early secondary socialization. This diploma thesis in its theoretical and practical parts focuses on free play of children in pre-school facilities. Kindergarten is the place of early secondary socialization of the child and that's why one part of the diploma thesis is centred on this theme. The theoretical part helps for a deeper understanding of play, especially with 2-4 year old children and builds a foundation for the research. The practical part, based on one year's observation, monitors development of free play of a homogeneous group of children and finds how the quality of play changes with individuals as well as the group. Another focus lies on comparing two separate groups of children in their free play - one group having long term experience with free play and one without such regular experience. The main method of the research is observation. The results of the research points to the importance of free play for a pre-school age child and confirms the influence of free play in the process of early secondary socialization.
Personality of a Teacher in Students' Perception

The Master thesis with the name "Personality of a Teacher in Students' Perception" is divided into two parts - a theoretical part and a practical part. The theoretical part is divided into four chapters. The first chapter focuses on the personality of a teacher. It describes some typologies of a teacher's personality, individual stages of the teaching profession and selected factors influencing the teacher's personality. The second chapter describes the role of a teacher, the content of his work, and the occupational load which is connected to the teaching profession. Further, it addresses teachers dealing with the burnout syndrome. The third chapter briefly presents the topic of pedagogical communication and the Pygmalion effect. The fourth chapter examines the student - teacher relationship. It aims to describe the characteristics and the significance of this relationship, by which factors it is influenced and what a pedagogue can do for a good relationship. The Ways of the pedago-psychological diagnostic Methods at primary School

This thesis is focused on a practical utilisation of methods of pedagogical-psychological diagnostics in a primary school. The theoretical part explores the role and importance of pedagogical diagnostics in a school, the view of a teacher on a meaningfulness of diagnosis in dependence on the years of his/her teaching experience, and positions on the personality of a pupil in dependence of his/her physical, psychical and social development. The practical part consists of interviews with teachers where I asked about the practicality and possible ways of use of the methods of pedagogical-psychological diagnostics in the usual school environment. This is followed by an analysis of the drawing-projection method and didactic non-standard tests. This paper is concluded with an assessment of social climate in a class. The research has been conducted with the teachers and the pupils of the primary school in Ceske Budejovice.
Motivation of student teachers of vacational subjects for study.

This thesis deals with the motivation of students and their attitudes to the study of vocational subjects teaching. The theoretical part focuses on the description of the teacher, the choice of the teaching profession, teaching studies, role of a teacher in the teaching profession, teacher competence. It continues with the description of the profile of a combined studies graduate of vocational subjects at the University of South Bohemia, Faculty of Education. For the practical part were established some research questions, related to the students motivation and their attitudes to this study. The research questions are confirmed or refuted by a research probe in the form of a questionnaire survey. This survey contains 20 questions that respondents answered in writing. The elected respondents were some students of the first and third grade of the combined studies of Teaching of vocational subjects at the University of South Bohemia, Faculty of Education, Department of Education and Psychology.
