Name: Alice Oktábcová Supervisor: Mgr. et Mgr. Jaromíra Uhlířová Oponent: ……………. Diploma thesis: The Application of Robot-Assisted Therapy of Hand after Stroke: Follow-Up Trial of Application of AMADEO Instrument Key words: stroke, robot-assisted therapy, Amadeo Instrument, follow-up study, upper extremity In recent years, western countries noted a gradual increase in stroke survivors. Stroke can cause motor activity impairment and also senzoric and cognitive disorders which lead into restriction of participation of activities of daily living and also reduction of social and community activities. Functional improvment of upper and lower extremity after stroke is a very complex proces which has to be solved in multidiscplinary and multifactorial approach in result of every stroke survivor to live in the most independent way as possible. Robot-assisted therapy for motor recovery could be a successful way to improve motor activity of stroke survivors. Amadeo Instrument is one of robot-assisted therapy for hand rehabilitation of stroke survivors. This instrument can be described as final effector without exoskeleton which allows functional motor therapy for fingers and also a motivational feedback. Amadeo therapy can be passive, assisted, active and also interactive. The aim of this thesis is to...

The Impact of Erigo Robotic System Therapy in Patients After Spinal Cord Injury Abstract: This bachelor thesis aims to shed light on the effects of Erigo robotic system therapy in patients after spinal cord injury. Currently, careful attention is devoted to research seeking new ways to cure or treat spinal cord injury. Even though we are just beginning to understand neuroregeneration processes, new rehabilitation robotic systems and devices are gradually starting to occupy a significant role especially in early rehabilitation after spinal cord injury. The first part of this thesis describes spinal cord injuries with a focus on health implications and complications the injured person has to come to terms with. Employing robot-assisted therapy in early rehabilitation stages can prevent a number of problems. By doing so, such therapy can improve the patients' functional condition, self-reliance their recovery and return to ordinary life. The use of robotic systems is becoming a standard in many rehabilitation facilities. This bachelor thesis will focus on the frequently used Erigo robotic system and on evaluating the effects of Erigo therapy. The thesis will describe the functions of the Erigo and its advantages. Moreover, several aspects of focus and evaluation criteria will be identified. These aspects will...
The use of feedback using the system Armeo Spring in patients with central paresis of the upper limb
Jiříčková, Kristýna ; Muchová, Zuzana (advisor) ; Brožová, Kamila (referee)
Title of bachelor thesis: The use of feedback using the system Armeo Spring in patiens with central paresis of the upper limb Abstract: Theme of my bachelor thesis is the use of feedback using the system Armeo®Spring in patiens with central paresis of the upper limb. With progress of modern technology is one of the possibilities robotic-assisted therapy. The aim of this thesis is to verify or disprove the efficiency of use of feedback using the system Armeo Spring in rehabilitation of upper extremities, which were effected by stroke. This thesis consists of theoretical and practical part. The theoretical part is recherche about knowlege of the efficiency of system Armeo®Spring. The next area outlins robotics and virtual reality in rehabilitation, which is quickly developing. The base for my theoretical part was mostly foreign studies and articals. Subsequently, it was my attempt to approach this method not only in terms of theory, but mainly practices in favor of Czech patients. Based on gain information and my experience I can affirm that the therapy using the system Armeo®Spring has positive influence for motoric function of upper extremities and is effective in rehabilitation in patiens with central paresis of the upper limb. Key words: stroke, upper limb paresis, neurorehabilitation, robotic-assisted...

Title: Effect of robot-assisted therapy on upper limb function in activities of daily living in patients after acquired brain injury Aims: The main aim of the thesis was to evaluate and compare the effectiveness of two therapeutic approaches using robot-assisted glove Gloreha Sinfonia to perform Activity of daily living in patients after acquired brain injury. Methods: The study is an empirical quantitative research, a monocentric randomized controlled, simply blinded study. The study compares two groups, group A (n = 20) used a robot-assisted Gloreha glove with a bimanual approach, group B (n = 20) had therapy with a robot-assisted Gloreha glove with an unimanual approach. All patients were evaluated for eligibility and underwent initial testing (T1). Patients in both groups had therapy (unimanual / bimanual) for three weeks (15x), retest (T2) was performed after completion of the intervention, and a follow-up evaluation was performed after 1 month (T3). Patients were always evaluated by the Upper Extremity Motor Activity Log (UE MAL), Motor Assessment Scale (MAS), Action Research Arm Test (ARAT), Box and Block test (BBT) and Motricity Index (MI). Results: According to the results of the MAS test in group A, there was a statistically significant improvement in upper limb function in category 8 at...

BACHELOR THESIS ABSTRACT Name, Surname: Pavlína Gašparová Thesis supervisor: Mgr. Alice Oktábcová Thesis opponent: Title of the Bachelor Thesis: The Application of Robot-Assisted Therapy in Patients after Brain Injury in the Acute Phase: With Application of PABLO Instrument Abstract: Brain vascular diseases are the second most common cause of hospitalization in the Czech Republic. As a result of their effect, the upper limb may suffer from typical motor and sensory disorders which reduce independence and self-reliance of the patient. To enhance motor disorders, robot-assisted therapy has been used within the framework of rehabilitation in the last few years. One of the robotic devices working on the basis of virtual reality is, for example, Pablo® System, which enables intensive training of repetitive movements of the upper limb and hand grip strenght or the pinch force. The objective of this work is to discover the effects of three-week intensive rehabilitation of paretic upper limb using the robotic device Pablo® System with three selected probands in an acute phase of stroke. Evaluation of the effects of the device was made using Dynamometer Jamarâ (hand grip strenght), goniometer (active ranges of upper limb motion), modified Frenchay arm test (functional motor activity of upper limbs) and Functional...
