The aim of the study was to determine the impact of socio-economic indicators on the commuting patterns of residents of three selected municipalities for the purpose of purchasing daily necessities. To achieve this goal, questionnaires were used, which I obtained in cooperation on the project TAČR TL05000558. The research focuses on analyzing the factors that influence the distance and time required to travel to the nearest supermarket, grocery store or other retailer of daily necessities. The socio-economic characteristics examined include age, transport accessibility of the municipality, and the size of the municipality.
Civic amenities in Pacov in the 1960s

This diploma thesis named Civic amenities in Pacov in the 1960s examines a civic amenities in the town of Pacov in the 1960s within regional history. The main purpose of this thesis is to describe the development of defined areas of civic amenities (health care, retail network, communal services) providing some (basic) needs of citizens in the chosen city and time period. The primary source of this research are the archival sources from the examined period. This thesis at first introduces the research topic and purposes of the work, important concepts and sources used, then the national historical context of the examined period. The main part of the thesis follows: a description of the development of specific areas of civic amenities. The thesis ends with visual materials related to the topic. Critical Analyse of a New Reatail and its Development Prediction

The objective of the thesis “Critical Analysis of the new retail and estimation of its future development” is to present a close overview about retail real estate issue in Czech Republic. First chapters are focused on theoretical issues of the retail. The practical part is focused on space-time analysis of market characteristics in the Czech Republic, which provides theoretical insights and diffusion process of expansion of shopping centers. The outcome of this paper is an estimation of the future development of the new retail from the optimistic, realistic, and pessimistic views of the market characteristics, and a definition of the competitive parameters of the retail development.

Analysis of the retail network in a selected company

This work is focused on a selected company - a consumer cooperative which operates in the retail trade. The theoretical part is devoted to the characteristics of the trade as a whole with a subsequent retail spin-off. The practical part is devoted to the selected consumer cooperative with an outline of cooperative issues. First of all it deals with the historical development of cooperatives and with the present structure and functioning of the retail network. The thesis also evaluates the current situation and possibilities for further development with a focus on application of new information technologies. These should be a tool for improving and optimizing the retail network. Possible solutions and recommendations are proposed in the final part of this work for the company's further development.

This diploma thesis aims to review and assess a current state of Czech retail market with fast-moving consumer goods and to analyze a logistic base of leading retail chains doing business in the Czech Republic. A reader can learn about development of retail in the last few years, but also about prediction of the future trends. Based on the theoretical background regarding retail and logistics, the analysis of particular leading companies is made. Moreover, possible future efficiency improvements of companies' process which could lead to better market position are considered. The result of the thesis is the clear picture of well operating retail chain, its logistics and a flow of the goods into the retail market as a whole.
The analysis of the customar's buying behaviour in the town of Prostějov

The bachelor thesis analyzes buying terms and buying habits in retail trade in the area of groceries in the town of Prostějov. The introduction presents the topic of buying behaviour and determines the aim of the thesis. The town of Prostějov and its surroundings are characterized in the first chapter which also describes the retail network of Prostějov. The second chapter characterizes current buying behaviour in the Czech Republic. The third part is devoted to the results of the realized questionnaire, which are summarized and compared with available market nationwide trends in the conclusion.
