Analysis and design of business intelligence solutions for selected company

The main objective of this thesis is to analyze the current state of use of Business Intelligence (BI) tools in the manufacturing company and to adjust reporting tools so that they comply with the company's management. The thesis is divided into two parts. The first part describes the theoretical basis of Business Intelligence, its history and current trends in Business Intelligence tools and finally, BI architecture is described. The content of the second part is the analysis of BI in manufacturing company and the main aim is to finish the current state reports in the Oracle Business Intelligence 11 g in functional form, reflecting the changes in the reporting chain in the company. The result of this work is the presentation of useful information to management of the company about the current state of BI and changes that need to be made in the reporting business intelligence tools.

This bachelor thesis focuses on the area of Business Intelligence. The aim is to show the basic BI, analysis of new trends in this area and comparison of selected reporting tools according to established criteria. In bachelor thesis was achieved the stated objectives becoming familiar with the concept of BI, its basic principles and general architecture. The bachelor thesis analyzes the main trends in this area. The practical part contains a comparison of selected reporting tools and criteria for this comparison. This work give readers generally knowledge in BI, can also serve as a basis for the selection of reporting tools.

This bachelor thesis inquires Business Intelligence reporting tools and its usage for the company. The study contains six parts. The first part describes the needed terms and principles of Business Intelligence. The second part is all about history that leads to the term of Business Intelligence. In the third part the reader finds detailed description of Business Intelligence principles and will be introduced to Business Intelligence reporting tools. Fourth part gives overview of products on the market and the summarized comparison of products by 5 leading vendors on the market. The practical part of this study analyzes present processes of reporting and proposes a solution of implementing Business Intelligence reporting tools to a company delivering systems for managing water.
