Comparison of Relation and Document Database Systems

The purpose of this thesis is to compare relational and document-oriented database systems for use in genealogy field. PostgreSQL and MongoDB database systems were used in pursuance of the comparison. The systems are compared according to vital records of marriage and death certificates. Testing data set is generated and filled in the databases by an own implementation of a Node.js script.
Completion and Optimization of a Temporal Extension for PostgreSQL

This thesis focuses on a implemenation of a a temporal data support within traditional relational environment of PostgreSQL system. I pick up on Radek Jelínek's thesis and an extension developed by him. I've analyzed the extension from functional, practical and performance perspectives. Based on my results, I've designed and implemented changes to the original extension. The work also contains implementation details as well as performance comparison results between the new and the original extensions.
Interfaces for Faceted Search in Indexed Wikipedia

Main aim of this thesis is to study existing systems of faceted search and to design own system based on faceted search in the index of Wikipedia. In this thesis we can meet with existing solutions of faceted search. From mistakes and failures of existing solutions was designed our own system, that is output of this thesis. Designed system is described in way of design and implementation. Product of thesis is application and graphical interface. Application interface can be integrated into existing informational system, where it can be used as multidimensional filter. Graphical interface provides option how can application interface be used in real system. System was created focusing on usefullness and simplicity, for using in existing information systems.
Information System for Registration and Management of Corporate Orders

This thesis aims to design and implement an information system for the company SGS Zvolen s.r.o., according to customer requirements. It's used to register and manage information about the workflow of corporate orders. It takes the form of a web application developed on the Laravel framework connected to a MySQL relational database. The thesis also deals with user interface design and communication with the customer regarding the design of the system. Only a part of this extensive system was created, which was tested by the customer.

The aim of this bachelor's thesis is to create a tool for generating database content for testing purposes. The main function of the generator is to create random data which meets defined constraints. Constraints describe structural relationships in a database as well as semantic dependencies among columns in tables. The result of the thesis is a tool which generates test and inserts data into database based on defined constraints. The last part of the thesis contains demonstration of the functionality on a real database.
