Automatic Creation of the Publication Index

The goal of this thesis is to survey potential of common language processing methods for text indexing. A prototype of automatic index-building system will be made and tested on gathered data. A direction for the next developement will be set based on the results of the tests.
Automatic Keyword Detection

The main goal of this work is to survey the field of the automatic keywords tagging in a text and apply this background for automatically generating back-of-the-book indexes. Human made indexes are expensive and that's why we are looking for (semi)-automatic methods indexes. The theoretical part of this thesis deals with collocations, which are an important part of generated indexes. The practical part of the work applies selected methods to testing data and summarize results of experiments.
The needs of public administration sector using association of municipalities and its register

The main purpose of my thesis on the subject "The needs of the public administration sector using association of municipalities and its registry" is a survey of marketing needs of voluntary associations of municipalities in the South Moravia. I focus mainly on reasons of creation this form of cooperation. In the theoretical part I deal with the basic concepts and context of this problematics. In practical parts are then given hypothesis, which I are based on questionnaires and leading conversation confirmed or refuted. At the conclusion are recommended for use in the construction engineering.
System for Interlinking Texts of State Exam Topics, Learning Support- and Other Supplementary Materials

The main goal of this thesis is to survey methods which are used for keyword extraction from articles and text documents. After that design and create system, which will be able to interlink texts of state exam topics, learning support and other supplementary materials. Finally step is evaluate the created system to materials from VUT FIT in Brno and appraise results in applicability for preparing students for final exams. 
The Spectrum and ADSR analysis of different kinds of harpsichords

The work deals with the issue of temporal analysis of the variable frequency spectrum of the harpsichord and its amplitude envelope in time. In the introduction, the creation is described, what type of instrument the harpsichord is, the history of the instrument is also described, and above all, the construction and principle of tone are described. In the following part, we deal with the measurement of the output signal itself, followed by its spectral analysis, where the topic of sound color and the behavior of the harmonic series of the tone are discussed. The formation of inharmonicity in individual registers of the harpsichord is being examined, and the last subchapter focuses on the sharpness of tone over time.
Translation and Stylistic Analysis of One Chapter of Casualties of Peace by Edna O'Brien

This bachelor thesis focuses on difficulties encountered when translating English fiction into Czech. It is divided into two sections. The practical part provides the translation of one chapter of the novel Casualties of Peace written by an Irish author Edna O'Brien in 1966. The theoretical part delivers the stylistic analysis including choice of register, morphological, lexical, syntactic and pragmatic aspects. Each of them is illustrated with the commented examples based on theoretical background from works by Jiří Levý, Dagmar Knittlová and Olga Krijtová.
Aspects of registration of vessels in maritime law

Název diplomové práce: Aspekty registrace plavidel v mezinárodním právu (oblast mezinárodního práva mořského a registrace námořních plavidel) (Aspects of the registration of vessels in the International Law) Abstrakt: Along with fishing, navigation is the oldest use of the sea, and remains one of the most important. Ships are the most important means of transporting goods on such routes: ninety-five per cent, by weight, of all international trade is seaborne. On the military side is it same important battle field. While almost all costal States and some landlocked (right now without Czech Republic) ones have a merchant navy of some description, one of the remarkable features of the international shipping industry is the degree to which ships are concentrated under the flags of relatively few States. This does not necessarily indicate a similar distribution of ownership. We are talking about "flags of convenience" and it is one of the topics of this thesis. This thesis deals transformation from customary international law to current codified regulation of the registration of vessels. The ascription of nationality to ships is one of the most important means by which public order is maintained at sea.
