Role of General Nurse in Rehabilitation Nursing

The bachelor thesis deals with problems of rehabilitation nursing in practice. The main aim of the work was to establish the awareness of general nurses on rehabilitation nursing and whether they co-operated within the scope of a multi-disciplinary team. My Partial Aims were to find out what did general nurses consider to be rehabilitation nursing, whether they rehabilitated with patients and whether the multi-disciplinary team was used in practice. The theoretical part of the thesis aims at summary of information as related to rehabilitation nursing. There is also stated the way of education of general nurses nowadays and statutory stipulations on their work contents. The empiric part used quantitative investigations with the data obtained through an Internet questionnaire. The respondents were the general nurses from the Czech Republic. The results reached clearly indicate that general nurses have sufficient knowledge in the field of rehabilitation nursing and they sufficiently co-operate with other members of the multi- disciplinary team. The knowledge obtained will be published in social networks and there will also be created a plan for better orientation in positioning of patients. Animal-assisted therapy Introduction into the topic: Animal-assisted therapy is a collective term for rehabilitation methods and methods of psychosocial support of health, based on a positive contact between human and animal. It lies on the border of several disciplines, for example occupational therapy, nursing, psychology or education. This thesis deals with animal-assisted therapy from the perspective of a nurse as a participant in therapy nad its effects, which are reflected in nursing care. Goal This thesis aims to find out what are the experiences of nurses with animal assisted therapy and the extend to which nurses participates. The role of nursing staff in mobilizing immobile patiens and ways of nursing physiotherapy

The present master thesis titled "The role of nursing staff in mobilisation of immobile patients and possibilities of physiotherapy" is focused on the quality of providing movement support on the Ist clinical department ofinternal medicine in the local hospital of the town of Most. The thesis is divided into two parts-theoretical and empirical one. In the theoretical part I focus on the role od physiotherapy from the point of view of providing the high-quality integrated nursing care. In this part of thesis I introduce the issues of patients' needs, movement support as an improvement of patient's quality of life and legislative competences of nursing staff related to physiotherapeutical care and self-reliance training based on the respective bibliographical sources. Further I also focus on the consequenses of immobility and the aspects of life quality, which is very intensively linked to patient's movement compentences.Final chapter of the theoretical part describes the principles of kistestetics and its implementation in movement support. Rehabilitative nursing of patients in department after-care

Following batchelor´s thesis focuses on rehabilitative nursing of patients in department after-care and it is divided into two parts. In a theory part of the thesis elementary terms such as rehabilitation, nursing, and department after-care are briefly described. Close attention is paid to rehab treatment elements carried out within the frame of rehabilitative nursing. Individual elements are described in detail in individual chapters. The end of the theory part focuses on the issue of immobilization and on immobilizing syndrome. The practical part describes experimental research leading to verification of defined hypothesis. A quantitative method aided by questionnaire technique was used for the research. This research was carried out with nurses in department after-care in following hospitals: Nemocnice České Budějovice, a.s.; Nemocnice Prachatice a.s.; Nemocnice Český Krumlov, a.s. where 120 questionnaires were held out with 83,3% questionnaires returned. 100 questionnaires, made 100% were used for the final research. The aim of this thesis was to find out what rehab treatment elements are applied with patients in department after-care. The other aim was to verify knowledge of nurses in rehab care. To set targets hypothesis H1, H2 and H3 were made. H1: Nurses in department after-care apply especially elements of positioning. H1 was proved. H2: Nurses in department after-care more frequetly practice self service and self sufficiency with patients rather than practicing motoric skills. H2 was not proved. H3: Nurses have got the knowledge of rehab care. H3 was proved. Findings of this thesis will be provided to management of Nemocnice České Budějovice, a.s. who may use it as a base for lecture for nurses from department after- care. As a part of this lecture a practical illustration of individual rehab care elements would be appropriate to demonstrate. Hospital management will hereby support improval of quality of provided care in department after-care and also will support the nurses in this field.
