Water turbine control
Schrott, Eduard ; Bezdíček, Jiří (referee) ; Himr, Daniel (advisor)
This bachelor's thesis deals with water turbines, their regulation and control. The thesis provides a basic theoretical description of fluid flow. It also provides an introduction to the issue of hydro turbines and power plants, their classification and description of the regulation mechanisms of Kaplan, Francis and Pelton turbines. The thesis explains why, when and how turbines are regulated. The last chapter deals with governors and control. The thesis also includes the construction of a simple control model.
Heating system of the apartment building
Rosíková, Barbora ; Horák, Petr (referee) ; Vyhlídalová, Karolína (advisor)
The aim of this bachelor thesis is to design a heating system for an apartment building. The thesis is divided into theoretical, computational and design parts. The theoretical part deals with the regulation of the heating system. The computational part deals with the actual design and method of heating the apartment building and hot water preparation. Three low-temperature gas boilers are chosen as the heat source and the source for hot water heating, which are connected in a cascade manner. The flats are connected to manifolds and headers located on each floor of the building in the corridor. Plate, designer and tubular heating elements are proposed in the building. The project section contains the graphic design of the project, i.e. the project documentation and finally the technical report is placed at the end.
Rotary beam system
Zielina, Jan ; Buchta, Luděk (referee) ; Pohl, Lukáš (advisor)
The thesis discusses the issues of control and regulation, introduces the reader to the CubeMX development environment from STMicroelectronics, describes the software configuration of the development board, the vector control algorithm using Clark and Park mathematical transformation of currents in a three-phase system, the physical design of the oscillating system in the solidworks environment, the mathematical model and simulation in Matlab/Simulink and the design of the control for oscillation control of the system.
The use of regulations in spatial planning and their meaning
Romanchuk, Anna ; Šimková, Hana (referee) ; Kotrla, Jakub (advisor)
The bachelor's thesis describes the basic legislative overview of spatial planning in the Czech Republic and then focuses on analysis and usage of the regulations of municipalities. The work is based on knowledge about spatial planning and the influence of its tools on the quality of cities and landscapes. The work is focused on the compilation of findings from spatial planning documentation and their possibilities for spatial regulation. The thesis analyzes two cities, Zlín and Brno, from the point of view of how the regulatory tools work in both cities, and what their use or non-use leads to. The goal is to compare the approaches to the regulation of the territory and to use an illustrative example to show what it looks like and what are the consequences.
Servo valve for automatic irrigation
Khol, Filip ; Huták, Petr (referee) ; Tománek, Radek (advisor)
This bachelor's thesis deals with the design and production of the printed circuit board of control electronics for the electronic regulation of the valve of the irrigation system with a direct current motor.
The applications of differential equations in the temperature regulation
Horáček, Jan ; Švarc, Ivan (referee) ; Dosoudilová, Monika (advisor)
This bachelor's thesis deals with the importance of differential equations in control theory. The review section is devoted to a reminder of the mathematical apparatus of linear differential equations and the methods of solving them, including the characteristic equation and the Laplace transform. Furthermore, the research part deals with control, transfer function and stability. The final section is devoted to the solution of a real room temperature change problem including software verification.
Design of a compact system for measurement of the indoor environment
Jančík, Josef ; Klimeš, Lubomír (referee) ; Pech, Ondřej (advisor)
The diploma thesis deals with a design of a compact air quality measuring device. Theoretical part of the thesis introduces the reader with air quality measuring, measuring criteria and basic principles of measuring. Next part is dedicated to the design of the device – component selection, model creation and simulation of heat transfer between individual components. This parts also describes the connection between multiple devices and data collection. The following part presents practical testing of the device and the possibilities of its calibration. At the end of the thesis, the final device is evaluated in the terms of function and costliness.
Design and construction of a controller for automated calibration of vacuum gauges
Kuchař, Matěj ; Králík, Jan (referee) ; Appel, Martin (advisor)
The aim of this work is to accelerate and enhance calibration, as previously a mechanical valve was used to adjust the desired pressures. To achieve automation, a system utilizing ADS 1256 for reading analog signal, EVR 116 for regulation, and standards for pressure measurement during calibration was designed and implemented, with the entire system controlled by Raspberry Pi. The results indicate that the controller performs very well but struggles with low pressures, which are, however, caused by imperfections in the apparatus.
Design and analsysis of magnetic bearing
Kyanka, Radim ; Ctibor, Jiří (referee) ; Rúra, Dávid (advisor)
The master thesis is focused on literature research and description of magnetic bearings in order to create a design model of a stand for demonstration of magnetic levitation. The simulated model is developed using the finite element method. It also discusses the advantages and disadvantages along with a comparison with conventional bearings in drives. Analytical design is discussed here, which is also simplified and neglects several parasitic effects. These analyses are then discussed. The main part of thesis containe design and calculation for an 8-pole active radial heteropolar magnetic bearing. The result of the design is then applied to the realization of the demonstrator.
Possibilities of controlling the greater sage-grouse (\kur{Heracleum mantegazzianum}) by cattle grazing
RYBÁŘ, Štěpán
Undergraduate thesis focuses on the ability to control greater sage-grouse by grazing cattle. The research was carried out on four plots of land near the village of Střítež near the town of Kaplice. Mapping was carried out on each plot in a defined square for a period of four months. In the squares with the presence of this invasive plant, the size and width of the leaf rosettes of the plants were recorded. Subsequently, the species distribution of other plant species was determined. The measured results were recorded in graphs and averages. Finally, suggested actions on plots with this invasive plant are presented. Grazing with higher intensity and frequency, and multiple mowing outside the pasture, seems to be the most suitable method of sage-grouse control for the study site.
