Newspaper of Hradec Kralove called "Pochoden" in the period of the changes in 80.-90.of the twenties century as one of the examples of the czechoslovakias transformation of the regional journal

The velvet revolution in November of 1989 meant end of communistic domination and rediscovery of democracy. The turn of eighties and nineties belongs to important historical period of Czech society; it brought principal revolution changes - new political and economy system, new international station of our state, new political rights and freedom, but also new liability and responsibility. Changes were related to Czech media too. They became private. Focus of this diploma thesis is detailed analysis of the journal Pochodeň in the turn of eighties and nineties, especially the procedure of newspaper's transformation after the year 1989. Thesis describes the period before November 1989, when Pochodeň was the press authority of regional bureau of the Communistic Party. Next part of this diploma work is characterization of the velvet revolution in the redaction and resulting development after the year 1990. Thesis is set to context of the past. Part of this capitol is general view on transformation of the Czech society, economy and Czech media. This way of conception of my analyses describes recent history of the journal Pochodeň and uses memoirs of journalists, which worked in the newspapers in the turn of eighties and nineties.

Analysis of transformations of a politician on an example of Jiří Čunek

Tématem analýzy je vývoj obrazu politika v celostátním a regionálním deníku na příkladu Jiřího Čunka v období od září 2006 do dubna 2007 (včetně). Analyzovány byly dva z nejčtenějších deníků - celostátní Mladá fronta Dnes a regionální Valašský deník - konkrétně přístupem kvalitativní obsahové analýzy případová studie. Mladá fronta Dnes začala o osobě komunálního politika Jiřího Čunka referovat velmi zvolna. Zájem tohoto celostátního deníku zesílil ve chvíli, kdy byl politik zvolen zákonodárcem a začala se objevovat kontroverzní témata spojená s jeho osobou. V tu chvíli deník začíná přinášet zprávy nejen o politických tématech spojených s J. Čunkem, ale také informace z jeho soukromého života. Naproti tomu Valašský deník o Jiřím Čunkovi, starostovi města Vsetína, referoval bez významnější odmlky dlouhodobě, nicméně postupně rozšiřoval rejstřík témat s ním spojených. Leckdy byly na způsobu podání informací patrné sympatie veřejnosti z regionu i deníku samého k prvnímu muži vsetínské radnice.

Osvobozený našinec from 1945 to 1948

This diploma thesis, Osvobozený Našinec from 1945 to 1948, aims to analyze the aforementioned daily newspaper in the selected period. Osvobozený Našinec was a regional catholic daily newspaper published in Olomouc with a tradition of over 80 years. Despite the fact that this newspaper had in its lifetime many unpleasant influences, the communist takeover in February 1948 meant the definitive end of this newspaper. Osvobozený Našinec served mostly as a source of local information about life in Olomouc and until now hasn't been a subject of any deeper analysis. Firstly, the work deals with the development of newspaper from its establishment up until 1941 when publishing was stopped during the war. Osvobozený Našinec was published under the Czechoslovakian Popular Party after the Second World War and that is why part of the second chapter is devoted to this party and its development. The following chapter describes the situation in Czechoslovakia after the Second World War and the changes it brought in all aspects of life with regard to the press, the Olomouc region and the Czechoslovakian Popular Party. Media preferencec before the elections to the chamber of deputies 2013

This bachelor's thesis deals with distribution of media content between political parties in pre-election period on the example of Moravskoslezský deník and Pražský deník journal. The theoretical part covers concept of political parallelism, which describes interferences in media content by political preferences of subjects that creates them. The press-party parallelism of Colin Seymour-Ure, the related Blumler and Gurevitch's work and van Kempen's media-party parallelism are also mentioned. It pursue historical development of relation between political and media systems in Europe and USA. The experimental part is focused on the frequency and extent of reports on selected political subjects in the period from 26 September to 26 October 2014. In both journals it reveals a preponderance of left-wing Social Democrats. It strongly appears in Moravskoslezský deník. It also shows strong preference of SPOZ party, despite the result of the elections. The thesis reveals the disparity in the distribution of media content among different categories of messages (news article, commentary, interview). In Moravskoslezský deník political subjects receive more space in the interviews.
