Cross-border coopertion of the Moravian-Silesian Region

The topic of this diploma thesis is cross-border cooperation of the Moravian-Silesian region. It contains a theoretical and practical part. The theoretical part focuses on regional development and regional policy, including the financing of development strategies. Furthermore, it covers the topic of cross-border cooperation and the characteristics of the Moravian-Silesian region. The practical part is focused on the investment project Hraniční vrch Lookout Tower located in the town of Albrechtice. This project was created in the framework of cross-border cooperation with Poland. Using the knowledge from the theoretical part, the outcome is processed as the evaluation of the impact of cross-border cooperation project on the development of the region in relation to tourism.

Usability of municipalities association for the construction investment

This thesis aims to analyze and then update publicly accessible register of clusters of municipalities in South - Moravian region. Work is based on specific research for the Science Center of Faculty of Civil Engineering AdMaS. Name of the research is "Leveraging the register of clusters of municipalities for the needs of marketing research and development at FAST." Within this research were added to the register certain information, such as E-mail address, website, revenues for the last three years, etc. and the entire register was processed in the form of a relational database. From this relational databases were created outputs in the form of tables and charts to scholarly articles. Furthermore, this work updated maps of technical equipment with municipal water conduit and sewerage. To these maps are drawn in municipal unions with corresponding activities. Thereafter are designed some expansion options and are used clusters of municipalities for investment purposes.

Development of housing construction in the border region

The diploma thesis deals with the analysis of a selected segment of the real estate market in a specific border locality (CZ-DE-PL). Furthermore, the influences and development that affects the real estate market with a focus on housing construction in the context of regional development. Based on the collected data about available properties and locations, databases are created where properties are divided by type, layout and size. From these databases, the average market prices of real estate are then calculated, that are then compared within the border regions. The prices reflect all the positive and negative properties of buildings and localities that may have an impact on the price of real estates in the surveyed localities. The last part compares the regional development of housing units in border regions.

Exploration of The Current State of The Silesian Regional Identity by Inhabitants of Český Těšín and Cieszyn

This thesis explores the current state of the Silesian regional identity in the inhabitants of the cities Český Těšín in Czechia and Cieszyn in Poland. It explores and analyses the dynamics of Silesian regional identity in the context of the official Czech and Polish national identity. It does so in relation to the territory of the historical region of Těšín. More specifically, it uses the case of the historical town of Těšín, today's Český Těšín and Cieszyn, which it examines simultaneously. The thesis thus focuses on tracing the development of Silesian regional identity and addresses the factors that may influence it. It does so by means of a questionnaire survey and subsequent evaluation of the data obtained through statistical analysis. It also deals with intergenerational differences in the perception of this identity in the context of the use of the Těšín dialect. The findings will help us uncover factors that may influence the local Silesian regional identity and thus enable us to understand it better. Overall, the thesis shows hat the identity of the inhabitants of Český Těšín/Cieszyn is very complex and is influenced by history, ethnic diction, place, and cultural ties, with the Těšín dialect and family ties playing a key role in maintaining this regional identity. The topic of this bachelor thesis is "Financial analysis of the selected company and its impact on the region". It is focused on the evaluation of the financial situation of the company PBS Turbo s.r.o. and its impact on the region in which it is located. The thesis is divided into two parts, namely the literature research and the actual results. In the literature research is described the concept of financial analysis. The next part of this thesis is the actual results, where the characteristics of PBS Turbo s.r.o. are first described, followed by the calculations of the individual financial analysis ratios. Furthermore, the impact of the selected company on the region is evaluated.

Návrh implementace MST protokolu do prostředí univerzitní sítě

Zigmund, M. The proposal for the implementation of the MST protocol in the university network environment. Bachelor thesis. Brno: Mendel University, 2023. This bachelor thesis deals with the proposal of the implementation of the MST protocol into the university network. This implementation is based on the analysis of the MST protocol and the current state of computer network at the Mendel university in Brno. Based on the provided information, a home and university model connections are created and tested in the home and university network. Convergence, STP security and also the protocol migration to a newer version are tested on the model connections. On the basis of the performed tests, several proposals have been drawn up to protocol migration and university network appearance when the MST protocol is implemented and subsequently used. The result of the work is the verification of the fact that the newer type of STP can be successfully used simultaneously with older versions, and the migration of this protocol can be achieved in different ways.

This bachelor's thesis addresses the issue of quality of life and its regional inequalities in the Czech Republic. The aim of the theoretical part is to describe the concept of quality of life and analyze secondary data to determine the quality of life in the Czech Republic. The practical part includes a proposed index of quality of life constructed from selected indicators. The objective is to ascertain whether regional differences exist in the Czech Republic and to identify the determinants of these differences. The outcome is the mapping of the quality of life in the regions of the Czech Republic.

Landscape and people's lives. Region of Poděbrady in the first half of 20th century

In my thesis I tried to put down the transformation of rural areas, specifically the region of Poděbrady, which took place in the first half of the 20th century. The center of the region is the town Poděbrady, the whole area consists of 35 municipalities together. The transformation of rural involved several factors - the establishment of an independent republic, land reform, electrification, river regulation, the development of communications, transport and mechanization of agriculture. I deal with the natural conditions of the region, because they greatly influence the local life and economy. "Střední Polabí" is a flat area known for its fertility. Therefore, most people here worked in agriculture in the first half of the 20th century. Major employers were landowners from aristocratic families, particularly in Poděbrady and Dymokury. They gave work to people in the fields and in industrial plants. Breweries, sugar mills, brickworks, dairy, oily or glassworks were in operation in the region. Leisure, customs and festivals belonged also to the life of people.

Application of prospective indicators of demographic ageing at the district level in Czechia

Application of prospective indicators of demographic ageing at the district level in Czechia Abstract The objective of this study is to analyze differences in the level of demographic ageing using prospective indicators at the LAU 1 level of the regions (districts) of Czechia in the periods 2006-2010, 2015-2019 and 2017-2021. The second objective is to compare the results of the analysis of prospective indicators with the results of a retrospective approach and to compare the differences between individual periods. Based on the results of the analysis, it can be stated that the districts Praha-západ and Praha-východ are among the youngest LAU 1 regions in Czechia. The most affected by demographic aging are the districts of the Ústecký kraj (e.g. Most, Teplice), as well as the districts Bruntál, Jeseník and Sokolov. For almost all LAU 1 regions, the values of prospective indicators increased between individual periods (with the exception of constant prospective age). The highest differences between the values of prospective and retrospective indicators are achieved by the districts in the period 2015-2019. The values of the indicators of both approaches are most similar in the districts of the Ústecký kraj, and differ the most in "urban" districts. The impact of Brazilian presidents on international relations in the region after 1945.

The subject of this work is a descriptive analysis focusing on the influence of Brazilian presidents on regional international relations after the year 1945. Using available sources, the goal of this work is to assess how the influence of the Brazilian head of state on the region changed and, as a hypothesis of this work, globalization and democratization affected the relative impact of such influence, if at all. The strength of the Brazilian head of state is presented as it is limited by the Brazilian constitutions, as well as other factors concerning the inner political landscape of Brazil, which serves as context to analyse personalities and approaches of the heads of state to regional international politics. This project would like to serve as an outline or a foundation for further detailed research, that could use psychological approaches to provide a broader assessment of the relation between personalities, influence and regional international relations of Brazil.
