Study on the potential of an integrated waste-to-energy unit
Freisleben, Vít ; Turek, Vojtěch (referee) ; Jegla, Zdeněk (advisor)
This diploma thesis is focused on the design of technological modifications of the existing industrial unit „waste-to-energy“, used for thermal treatment of process waste gases containing VOC and CO while flue gas is produced. The main objective of the existing unit modification is to improve its operating parameters considering economy, ecology and energy utilization. In the first part, the current industrial plant was presented with all necessary process data. Furthermore, all the key equipment used for the waste gases treatment or for the utilization of waste heat was identified. In the main part of the thesis there are performed modifications of the existing unit including the technology of existing heat exchangers intensification, the design of new and more efficient heat exchangers and finally the catalytic oxidation technology implementation for the decomposition of pollutants contained in the waste gas. The result of the thesis is a technical, economic and ecological comparison of the proposed technological modifications with the existing operation.

Are here used most common manners evaluation for these print real property. On top enclosed is several formulation of several estate agency (juxtaposition offers with demand) in given to locality. Further also design documentation housing periods in type panel building.
Stirling Engine
Vondruš, Jan ; Kloss, Ondřej (referee) ; Kaplan, Zdeněk (advisor)
This bachelor thesis deals with the description and calculation of a closed regenerative thermodynamic cycle. In the theoretical part of the thesis, there is described history of the engine, the principle of its function, differences between particular design variants, and the use of the engine in the past and nowadays. In the other part of the work, there is described the principle and calculation of ideal Stirling cycle. In addition, there are included positives as well as negatives of applying the heat devices based on this cycle. Practical part of the work deals with the calculation of ideal Stirling cycle with the use of Schmidt theory. The primary aim of this bachelor thesis is then to compare and contrast the results gained from both of the calculation methods. In the end, the results of the thesis show that the use of Schmidt theory gives lower, i.e. more accurate, values of engine's parameters compared to the use of Stirling ideal cycle.
The Regeneration of a Residential House in Ivančice - The Cladding of a Building

The subject of this bachelor’s thesis is offering solution of a technological stage of regeneration a residential building in Ivančice. The thesis includes replacing balconies for loggia, flat roof with polystyrene insulation and insulation cladding contact system from the company Baumit using polystyrene and mineral wool.
Experimental support for the development of specific integrated equipment
Hrbáček, Jiří ; Jegla, Zdeněk (referee) ; Kilkovský, Bohuslav (advisor)
Regenerative heat exchangers are used in a wide range of industries and in the technical equipment of buildings. These heat exchangers play an important role in saving thermal energy and removing volatile organic compounds from flue gases. The theoretical part of the work deals with the division of regenerative exchangers into rotary and switching exchangers and the possibilities of their use. These types of heat exchangers are used in many applications, e.g. as a heat exchanger using waste heat to preheat the process gas (regeneration layer), or as catalysts to accelerate the reaction required to remove volatile organic compounds (catalytic layer), or as integrated equipment where both the regeneration layer and the catalytic layer. The aim of the diploma thesis is experimental support in the development of a computer program for the design of a specific integrated device. The program allows the calculation of the regeneration and catalytic bed, or both beds simultaneously, i.e. integrated equipment. The diploma thesis deals with the support of a mathematical model for the calculation of the regeneration bed. Pressure loss and heat transfer play an important role in the selection and subsequent calculation of a suitable bed. To calculate them, it is possible to find more available computational relationships that differ significantly in their accuracy. It is therefore necessary to select the most suitable ones for the computational model. The practical part of the work then deals with research, analysis, and assessment of the suitability of methods used to calculate pressure losses based on a comparison with the values measured on experimental equipment. Subsequently, the work deals with computational methods for determining the heat transfer coefficient of the packed bed. A significant part of the practical part deals with the modification of the experimental equipment for the verification of computational relations for the determination of heat transfer with measured data.
Mechanical-hydraulic model of vehical energy regeneration
Pisklák, Jan ; Vrbka, Martin (referee) ; Nevrlý, Josef (advisor)
This bachelor thesis is a research about mathematic-physical model of vehicle’s kinetic energy regeneration. Mr. Pourmovahed A. et al. were dealing with this problem. He used the method of the determinated thermal time constants. Pourmovahed continued in study reports written by Green W. L. and Otis D.. His scientific work covers the analytical treatment which is compared with an experimental tests.
Current options for the regeneration of public places at the urban settlements
Vraníková, Radmila ; Tušer, Jaroslav (referee) ; Ing.arch.Hana Halasová (referee) ; Kyselka, Mojmír (referee) ; Koutný, Jan (advisor)
is thesis deals with the new approach to solving the usage of the urban places located at the current build-up area of the block of flats. On experiences from long-term processing of concrete designs there are introduced principles and fundamentals for the regeneration of public places at block of flats, including new structure of functional areas. These principles and fundamentals will serve as the methodical aid for the public service, self-government and for the designers conversant with regeneration of public places.
The panel housing estate Brno Bohunice - public space and its sustainability
Spilková, Klára ; Tichý, Jan (referee) ; Pavlovský, Tomáš (advisor)
This Diploma Thesis deals with the panel housing estate Brno Bohunice built in 1972 – 1989. A special attention is devoted to public space between the Moldavska and Ukrajinska streets. The theoretical part of the diploma thesis outlines the history of panel housing estates from their inception to the present. Further, it deals with public space and regeneration of panel housing estates. There follows an overview of the panel housing estate Bohunice and its brief development. The practical part focuses on an analysis of the selected area. On this basis the urban concept of regeneration of the defined area is articulated. The aim of the proposal is to create functional and sustainable public space in the area of the panel housing estate Bohunice. Ideally, this work could become a basis and impulse for the regeneration of public spaces in the Bohunice housing estate, as well as in other panel housing estates in the Czech Republic. The aim of the thesis is to outline the complex issues of public spaces of panel housing estates and the possibilities of their improvement.
