The energy demand of an indoor ski slope
Mozola, Ondrej ; Linda, Jakub (referee) ; Pospíšil, Jiří (advisor)
This diploma thesis deals with the issue of energy requirements for operation of indoor ski slopes. The first part is dedicated to research of snow making, cooling and construction methods of ski halls along with the examples of specific projects. In the second part, the aim was to design a ski hall with specific geometry and insulation and then define energy losses of such building. Subsequently, all related energy flows were calculated, which led to the determination of the required cooling capacity. Based on this, the cooling cycle was calculated and the overall electricity demand for the operation of the ski hall during the year was set. In the third part, three options for covering electricity needs are evaluated and at the same time they are compared in terms of financial costs during the year.
Cryogenic Technique
Zrůst, Michael ; Milčák, Pavel (referee) ; Kracík, Petr (advisor)
Bachelor thesis deals with technology of cryogenic temperatures, liquefying gases in this temperature interval, effects of these temperatures on materials and insulations. In the introduction, brief history of development of this field. Next part is about gases which get liquefied in cryogenic temperatures and their applications. The largest chapter is chapter about liquefying in which principle of coolers, heat exchangers and liquefiers is described. Next, means of cooling by expansion, cooling cycles used to reach desired temperatures and ways of separating gas mixtures, are specified. In the last chapter insulation used to maintain cryogenic temperatures inside space is discussed.
The solution selected aspects of cooling slaughterhouse
Snopek, Milan ; Formánek, Marian (referee) ; Šikula, Ondřej (advisor)
The topic of my diploma is a solution of selected aspects of cooling slaughterhouses. The main objective is the solution of mechanical cooling from the technical to the physical expression of nature and theoretical foundations comfort cooling.
Compressors for refrigeration equipment
Perejda, Michal ; Sekanina, Bohumil (referee) ; Štětina, Josef (advisor)
The work is devoted to the problematic of compressors for refrigeration equipment with a focus on industrial refrigeration and medium performance output requirements. Reader receives a basic overview of the construction, operating cycle, pressure and temperature process and the compressor performance control options of the three in engineering practice most common types of compressors: reciprocating, screw and scroll. It describes the basic elements and actions of the cooling circuit within the information range most important for understanding the compressor operating cycle. This work includes thermodynamic analysis of the reciprocating compressor working cycle and shows practical application of compression device in real operation. The goal of this work is to provide the reader with a description of the thermodynamic process in the compressor, a comprehensive and systematic overview of the types of compressors used in practice and compare their characteristics, advantages and disadvantages.
Economy building refrigeration systems
Kohút, Radovan ; Formánek,, Marian (referee) ; Rubinová, Olga (advisor)
The thesis deals with the refrigeration systems. It analyzes ways to optimize the refrigeration process and the associated energy savings. In a practical application on an industrial building where there is the need of cooling the machinery, it compares the reference system with another two optimized alternatives. The heat recovery alternative supports heating and hot water supply and the water-side free cooling alternative lowers the energy consumption during the cold period of the year. The experimental section assesses the suitability of floor cooling in relation to the stratification of air temperature along the height of the room and the effect on thermal comfort of people.
Air conditioning for business and sports center
Klügl, Martin ; Rubina, Aleš (referee) ; Rubinová, Olga (advisor)
This Bachelor’s thesis processes after analysis of the building design of an air-conditioning devices for three selected areas. For this devices are calculated a heat balances and an airflow. On this parameters are further suggested a distribution elements, performs a dimensions of the pipe and is designed an air-conditioning unit. The devices are above that supplemented by a fancoils. It is also solved an attenuation of a noise. In a project part is write up a project for realization of the air-conditioning devices.
Current status of natural refrigerants for heat pumps in an electric bus
Aminian, Ali ; Vinš, Václav
The technical report provides a survey on the current status of hydrocarbons, with special focus on propane (R290), used as natural refrigerants in air‐conditioning units and heat pumps. Due to the\nexpected phase‐down of halogenated refrigerants planned in the regulation of the European Parliament no. 2022/0099/COD, alternatives such as hydrocarbons, carbon dioxide or ammonia are\nmost probably to be used in EU in the near future. A review of recent developments of HVAC units for residential use and for electric vehicles operated with natural refrigerants is presented.
Cooling systems for catering operations
Pírek, Ondřej ; Blasinski, Petr (referee) ; Formánek, Marian (advisor)
Master thesis deals with the principle of cooling systems. Content of this thesis is divided in to the three segments. First part describes theory of cooling motion. It describes a basic parts of a cooling circuit, thermal insulation of a cooling pipe and thermal insulation of a materials in a cooling rooms. Maintenance, service and types of component used in cooling cycle and also principle of cooling individual types of foodstuff. Second part is dedicate to design of cooling system for hotel service. There is a technical report which describes entire design process with a requirements for connect and elaboration. Project documentation is in the attachments. Third part of master thesis deals with experimental research. The subject of surveillance is freezing of water during the cooling of the plate panel. This section includes the result of the investigation.
