Pourová, Markéta ; Hanyš Holemá, Irena (advisor) ; Sobková, Ivana (referee)
In my diploma thesis I focus on children's recitation in education at the first grade of primary school. The theoretical part describes the basic elements of recitation, age specifics, which related to recitation. It justifies why it is useful to include recitation in education depending on the outcomes of the Framework Educational Programme for Primary Education in Czech Republic. It focuses on the interpretative and construction means of the recitation form and shows the basic methods of work by which they can be developed in teaching. Finally, it also describes the role of the teacher in this creative process and the method of assessment suitable for recitation. The practical part is divided into three parts and is firstly devoted to research in the form of a questionnaire survey on the state of recitation in primary school teaching. The second part includes semi-structured interviews with first grade teachers mapping in more detail their approach, ways of working and motivation of the children. The final part includes two sample lessons on how recitation can be worked on in the primary school curriculum.

Čurdová, Jana ; Marušák, Radek (advisor) ; Svobodová, Radmila (referee)
The theoretical part of the diploma is focused on the analysis of particular areas and concepts related to children's recitation regarding the first level of primary school. The first half of the practical part looks into primal motivation resulting into the decision to dedicate oneself to recitation, as well as the method of text selection by children and their reasons for preference of poetry to prose. The method of controlled interview was used for researching child reciters at the first level of primary school. The same method was applied to research methods of management, preparation and evaluation of children's reciter by adults who work with and assess the reciter. The second half of the practical part offers and describes examples of both group and individual approaches to a particular text.

The Art of Living Word
Harčaríková, Marica ; MARUŠÁK, Radek (advisor) ; BERGMAN, Aleš (referee)
In the first part of my thesis which consists of two parts - theoretical and empirical - I concentrate upon the ways of "word reviving" through human voice, speech and their artistic ways of expression, namely declamation, recitation, artistic recitation - where beside structuring of recitation I focus on collective recitation. Interpretation is a part of meaningful work with the word. I deal with its meaning from the point-of-view of its relationship with literary work. I deal with the concept of poetry and theatre, for closer specification of theatre form of poetry theatre and for fuller understanding of its content. I focus on the issue of poetry theatre, as an independent theatre form which has developed in the Central European region, especially in the non-professional theatre, in certain theoretical anchorages and historical connections. I mention a nationwide competition of artistic word and poetry theatres - Hviezdoslavov Kubin - especially with the children poetry theatre, within the category of children reciting groups. And last but not least, in the second part of my thesis I concentrate on the creative process with a children group, on the possibility of working with lyrical text.
Written by mouth, read by ears
Potužáková, Markéta ; ČUNDERLE, Michal (advisor) ; JOSEK, Jiří (referee)
The text is introduced by Paul Valery?s motto: ?To speak is to hear?. Spoken word is the principal theme, not narrated butrecited: interpretation of l iterary text, especially poetryconceived as a descent to its ?prel iterary? roots. The authorMarkéta Potužáková extends the work of Prof. Michael Bernardywho sees a l iterary text as a ?bridge?, as a temporary stage between the primordial speech of the work (as it spoke to theauthor, as he read it in his mind) and the speech as it isrendered by performing artist. This approach to the text andpedagogy of recitation represents a return to the originalauthor gesture as it is embodied in the structure of the poem.
