The price of electricity and the choice of appropriate distribution rate
Hromek, Lukáš ; Ptáček, Michal (referee) ; Macháček, Jan (advisor)
This work is focused on the price of electricity, components that compose and factors affecting this price. Includes brief overview of energy legislation, namely to the rights and obligations of distributors of electricity, energy traders and customers. Furthermore, the work deals with the researches of the energy market in the Czech Republic, the different rates of selected suppliers and evaluating their suitability for the customer.
Modification of Speech Rate
Kovářík, Aleš ; Schwarz, Petr (referee) ; Szőke, Igor (advisor)
This diploma thesis discusses modification of a speech rate. The PSOLA (Pitch Synchronous OverLap Add) method was used for the rate modification. This algorithm works in time domain. Another method -- phase vocoder, which works in frequency domain is also presented in an overview. This thesis extends the PSOLA method with a phoneme recognition, which allows for better understandability of the speech output by considering characteristics of the phonemes beeing pronounced. To examine this proposed method, an application connecting PSOLA and a phoneme recognizer was developed.
Evaluation of the Financial Situation in the Firm and Proposals to its Improvement
Bednář, Jiří ; Ohniště, Martin (referee) ; Bartoš, Vojtěch (advisor)
The diploma thesis focused on financial management of the company TRANSBETON s.r.o.. In the theoretical part there is a presentation of the assessed company and a general explanation of the term financial analyses, principles of which are applied on company. In the second part the obtained results are evaluated and compared with the data set for an advancement of the firm. Based on these results it is possible to propose an enhancement of the current state of the firm and its prospective development in the future.
Playing of Video Depending on Speed of Speech
Hromádko, Michal ; Fapšo, Michal (referee) ; Szőke, Igor (advisor)
This bachelor's thesis discusses adding the PSOLA method into the VLC Media Player. PSOLA method is used for playing rate modification. It doesn't change base tone and understandableness of the speech.
Comparison of simulation environments for analysis of wireless technology
Rimeg, Martin ; Fujdiak, Radek (referee) ; Kubánková, Anna (advisor)
This work is focused on the issue of wireless networks according to the IEEE 802.11 standard. The main subject of research is the Rate Adaptation Algorithms (RAA). The work also contains a description of simulation environments NS-3 and OMNeT in terms of adaptation algorithms. At the end of the work there is a summary of wireless network simulations in NS-3 and OMNeT environments and their comparison with the actual measurement of network parameters.
Tax Issues of Wine Industry
Štorková, Soňa ; Kašpárek, Evžen (referee) ; Kopřiva, Jan (advisor)
This bachelor thesis deals with the topic of suggeste law for still wine tax. The author explains financing of wine industry from both Czech republic and European union, wine sale in the Czech republic and impact on the state and chosen wine-making company in case of implementating of zero rate consumption tax on still wine.
Calculation of speech rate
Galáž, Zoltán ; Smékal, Zdeněk (referee) ; Mekyska, Jiří (advisor)
his semestral thesis deals with a design of system for calculating the rate of speech. The sys-tem consists of several block, such as signal pre-processing block and its segmentation into smaller parts, block of the feature calculation, block of the feature vector quantization and finally block calculating the actual rate. The first step is a change of the input speech signal into a form suitable for the feature extraction. In next step these features are assigned to the calculated centroids. The change of centroid means change of phonemes. The system will record the following boundaries of fonems contained in speech and calculates its rate.
Dotační podpory pro mladé a začínající zemědělce
Hamáková, Pavlína
This bachelor thesis contains an analysis and an overview of the currently prepared aids for young and beginning farmers, including their amount and especially the requirements that will be demanded as a condition for the payment of aids. A significant part of the thesis discusses the importance of rural agriculture and the requirements to support its development by taking into account both support for family farms and for young farmers, analysing their importance and the way they will be supported in the programming period until 2022. The prepared research deals with the Rural Development Programme, which has been implemented in the conditions of Czech agriculture until 2022, and which is prepared as a Strategic Plan for the support of the Common Agricultural Policy for the period after 2023, including scientific articles and monographs, with the focus on support (subsidies) for the acquisition of agricultural equipment and mechanisation.
The importance of mycorrhizal fungi in the root decomposition.
Haiclová, Klára ; Kohout, Petr (advisor) ; Kolaříková, Zuzana (referee)
Mycorrhizal fungi are known as symbionts of many plant species. Fungi provide better access to mineral nutrients and water for host plants, and in return fungi receive carbohydrates from plants. Although a significant proportion of organic matter is bound in the root biomass, little is known about the factors affecting root decomposition. Understanding the process of root decomposition and the factors that affect it, is important to us. Knowledge of root decomposition helps us understand the carbon cycle and answer questions about carbon sequestration in soil. This Bachelor's thesis is focused on the importance and function of mycorrhizal fungi during root decomposition. It describes the influence of mycorrhizal fungi on the decomposition of fine roots colonized by mycorrhizae, the ability of mycorrhizal fungi to decompose organic matter and influence the decomposition rate through competition with saprotrophic organisms. Keywords: mycorrhizal fungi, roots, decomposition, rate, organic matter, soil, importance, carbon sequestration
