The aim of master´s thesis is a design of newly medical facility – psychiatric hospital for long – term mentally ill persons. This work aims to develop project documentation for building construction. The object is on almost flat terrain on the selected piece of land in a quiet part of city Czech Budweis. The house has two above ground and is partial basement. The object is designed in a technology of Heluz system. The construction of the roof consists warm flat roof. Tha main entrance is oriented to the east. The project documentation which is needed for a realization of a new psychiatric hospital in worked up with six structural details including. Drawing part processed in a computer program AutoCad.
History of services in the care of persons using psychoactive substances in the Marianna Oranžská Psychiatric Hospital

Background: Marianna Oranžská Psychiatric Hospital was established in 1954 and is an important device that operates in treating persons using psychoactive substances. The concept of the device was constantly modernized, modified and nowadays it is a facility providing a wide range of addiction services. The hospital has built a reputation and is sought after by clients from all over the Czech Republic. Aims: Creation of a comprehensive description of the historical development of the facilities and services provided in the Marianna Oranžská Psychiatric Hospital from the establishment of the facility in 1954 to the present. Methods: This bachelor's thesis used qualitative research, including a content analysis of historical sources and professional publications that were thematically related to the relevant facility. Data from historical sources were processed using open coding. Results: In 1954 a Psychiatric Hospital was established in the village of Bílá voda with three wards, one of which was anti-alcohol. The first director of the hospital was MUDr. Bohumil Podařil until 1981, after which MUDr. Jiří Vařeka took his place. Health Social Worker in the Psychiatric Hospital

The aim of the bachelor thesis is to map the specifics of social work of a health and social worker in a psychiatric hospital. The partial goals are to describe the role and activity health and social worker, how the health and social worker is involved in multidisciplinary care in the psychiatric hospital and what means of psychohygiene are used by the health and social worker in the psychiatric hospital. The method of interviewing by means of half-structured interview, as well as qualitative research strategy were chosen for the research. Data analysis was performed using open coding. The research group was selected by means of a subsequent selection and consisted of four health and social workers. From the research it can be concluded that the course of health and social work in psychiatric hospitals is relatively the same. The health and social worker is an integral part of a multidisciplinary team in a psychiatric hospital, where patients are provided with comprehensive health and social care. A health and social worker in a psychiatric hospital plays a number of roles and activities. We rank among the roles service provider and social adaptation trainer and we rank among the activities providing professional social counseling to the patient and his family, participation in visits and treatment programs and meetings, support in processing documents, in solving debt problems and in solving housing problems. The employment of a health and social worker is one of the helping professions where self-care and observance of the principles of psychohygiene are necessary. The most important means of psychohygiene is supervision, which is observed by the employer of psychiatric hospitals and health and social workers participate in it at regular intervals. The bachelor thesis can be used as feedback for the facility where the research will be carried out. The results of the work can be used by health and social workers in health care and students in the field of health and social care who are considering employment in a psychiatric hospital.

Jana Pluhaříková-Pomajzlová Title: Occupational Therapy Group Work in Psychiatric Hospital Abstract: The bachelor thesis studies occupational therapy group work for patients with mental illness during hospitalization in a psychiatric hospital. It focuses on leading aimed group activity in occupational therapy and offers specific therapeutic units usable in practise that have been designed as a part of this paper and most of them have been verified in practice. Another outcome of the work is a workbook on the topic of time management which occupational therapists may use to manage group therapy and individual therapy as well. It also describes the role of occupational therapy in mental health care, its therapeutic benefits, and recommendations for working with a group. It aims at adult hospitalized patients with serious mental disorders (schizophrenia, bipolar disorder, etc.) who often receive aftercare as a part of their hospitalization. Use of Equine Facilitated Activities and Therapies (hippo-rehabilitation) in Addiction Treatment in a Psychiatric Hospital

Background: The diploma thesis deals with the method of equine facilitated psychiatry and psychology and its use in the treatment of addictions. The theoretical part is the starting point of the whole work. It presents the basic methods of treatment used, the method of Equine facilitated activities and therapies itself and its inclusion in traditional methods of addiction treatment. The research part is based on qualitative data collection. Aims: The aim of the diploma thesis is to describe the use of equine facilitated activities and therapies in residential addiction treatment. Find out how patients and therapists evaluate this method, what areas of life are affected by equine facilitated activities and therapies and how it fits into current treatment methods. Data: The research group consists of eight patients from the addiction treatment department at a psychiatric hospital who met the selection criteria. And two therapists who work with the method of equine facilitated psychiatry and psychology in addicted clients / patients and met the selection criteria. Safety in psychiatric nursing care

The subject of this bachelor thesis is to map which safety measures are applied while providing nursing care to the hospitalized patients in a selected psychiatric hospital and determine which problematic situations are appearing in this psychiatric hospital in context to safety. On the basis of these goals research questions were created. Which safety measures are applied while providing nursing care to the hospitalized patients in a selected psychiatric hospital? Which problematic situations are appearing in this psychiatric hospital in context to safety? Work is divided into two parts, theoretical and empirical. In the theoretical part of the bachelor thesis we are examining psychiatric care, the most common diagnosis and their treatment, unwanted situations, restrictive resources and safety in psychiatric facilities. Information of the empirical part of the work were gained through quality research, used method was questioning, technique of data collection with half-structured interview. Research file was formed of 14 nurses total of which 2 were men, who were acquainted with the theme of the bachelor thesis, interview and their anonymity in advance. Documented interviews were rewritten through direct transcription and further analyzed with technique of open encoding, pencil and paper method. We created 5 categories and 2 subcategories. The results of this research are proving that safety at departments of the selected psychiatric hospital is good and sufficient according to the nurses, nurses are using severe precautions at patient intake and at providing nursing care, they are keeping hospital standard and directive. Even though nurses are maintaining safety when providing nursing care there are still a lot of problematic and unwanted situations according to the research.
Ethics at the wards of psychiatric hospital

Thesis deals with the ethical problems at the wards of psychiatric hospital. The environment of a psychiatric hospital in the context of its target group psychiatric patients is a source of ethically important situations, which must be solved by the medical social worker. This puts high demands on the worker as he is the/an executive tool of medical social work.The goal of the thesis is to identify ethically important situations, to suggest their solution and eventually to reflect these solutions with the ethical theories, ethical codes, inner rules of the psychiatric hospital and other statutory norms. The structure of the thesis is adjusted to this goal: first, I define the environment of the hospital, describe the target group and medical social worker profession. Secondly, I describe ethical problems identified before, suggest their solutions and reflect them. Finally, in the last part of the thesis, in the discussion, I contemplate about preliminary ethical understanding as a basis for identification of the ethical problems and I ponder other factors that matters in reaching the remedies of ethical problems.
