The Lifelong Learning of the Social Workers in the Non Governmental Organizations
HRUBEŠOVÁ, Nikola
The diploma thesis focuses on the topic of lifelong learning of social workers who work in non-governmental non-profit organizations. The aim of this work was to find out what possibilities social workers have with a completed master's degree in the field of lifelong learning. The second important goal was to find out what the social workforce needs for lifelong learning and whether their needs are taken into account in the provision of education. Lifelong learning is an integral part of social work and it is important to take into account the needs of social workers. To achieve these goals, quantitative research was used, which was carried out with the help of a questionnaire survey, which asked a total of 28 questions, some of which were optional. A total of 61 social workers who work in a non-governmental non-profit organization and have a master's degree were contacted. As part of this quantitative research, research was conducted focused only on the South Bohemian Region, where non-governmental non-profit organizations and social workers working in them were found within the register of social service providers. A total of 36 social workers responded to the questionnaire, with the questionnaires being sent twice because unfortunately, the return was very low in the first wave. The data that were subsequently obtained from the questionnaire survey were processed both in Microsoft Excel, but also in R software. From the conducted research it is possible to conclude that social workers are satisfied with the courses offer by their employer. This shows that needs of social workers are both satisfied and motivated. Respondents stated that they regularly receive course offers from their employer. This I consider very important and perspective. This proves that the continuous education of social worker is not happening only because it is required by the government but it is happening because private non-profit organisations support it on their own. Concerning the organization in my data sample I can conclude that the needs of their social workers are taken into account.

BŘINKOVÁ, Eva
The bachelor's thesis deals with the issue of self-defense of adults with intellectual disabilities. Its aim is to find out the attitude of social service providers working with a group of adults with intellectual disabilities in the Czech Republic towards self-defense groups. The work is divided into two main parts - theoretical and practical. The first chapter in the theoretical part is focused on the definition of the concept of intellectual disability together with the classification and rights of persons with intellectual disabilities. The second chapter provides a definition of the concept of self-defense, its history and types of self-defense groups. The practical part of the thesis defines the set goal of the bachelor's thesis and hypotheses are set. The chosen procedure for the research survey is also described. A questionnaire survey method was used to collect the necessary data. The research group consists of respondents in the position of a manager at social service providers working with a group of adults with intellectual disabilities. Based on the information obtained, the current attitudes of social service providers in the Czech Republic towards self-advocacy groups are ascertained. In the last chapter of the empirical part of the bachelor's thesis, all the results of the questionnaire survey are summarized and the established hypotheses are evaluated.

Social work clients with hearing disorders
Sittová, Denisa ; Krahulcová, Beáta (advisor) ; Ondrušová, Jiřina (referee)
In my thesis I deal with the specifics of social work with clients with hearing defects. The purpose of my work was to find out what experiences the students of Czech schools have with people with hearing impairments and how they orient themselves in this issue. This thesis is divided into two main parts: Theoretical and Practical. The theoretical part of my work is divided into twelve chapters, which are focused on surdopaedia, hearing impairment, diagnostics, hearing screening, education and last but not least communication, compensatory aids and specifics of social work. In the practical part I used the questionnaire to find out basic information from students from the Hussite Theological Faculty. I was wondering if there are students at the faculty who are interested in this issue and whether they would like to work with people with hearing impairment in the future.
Readiness of Social Service Providers to Emergencies in the District of Frydek-Mistek.
VALÁŠKOVÁ, Diana
This bachelor thesis observes readiness of social service providers for emergencies in the district of Frýdek-Místek. It assesses staff awareness and overall preparedness of social service providers in emergencies and also compares the findings with those obtained within the South Bohemian Region. The theoretical part of my thesis deals with the topic of social services and emergencies. The chapter on social services introduces basic concepts of the field, individual types of social services and their description. The following chapter focuses on emergencies -- it defines the basic terminology, familiarises with the types of emergencies and describes the territory of the Frýdek-Místek district in terms of its threats, which are described in more detail. The research part of the thesis was based on a questionnaire survey. The questionnaires were intended for the directors and responsible managers of social service providers -- the qualitative research method was used for this target group -- as well as for the staff of social service providers, using quantitative research. Social facilities selected for this purpose had to correspond with two criteria - the first criterion being the social facilities provided residential form of social service, and the second being suitable for the disabled. The questionnaire survey revealed the unreadiness of the social service providers for emergency incidents in the Frýdek-Místek district. The results did not reach the established success rate of 80% and discovered that the staff of these researched facilities were not informed sufficiently on their facilities' emergency strategies. Comparing these results with those from the South Bohemian Region, it was found that the level of awareness and preparedness of social service providers for emergency situations is equally inadequate in both cases.
Improving awareness of social service providers about the best ways of behavior when an emergency
KOVÁČ, David
The aim of the thesis was "To assess the current state of awareness of the personnel of the social services providers in the field of extraordinary events, to assess the effectiveness of the implemented training program". Based on the stated objective, then, to verify 2 established hypotheses. Hypothesis No. 1, ´Awareness of social service provider staff on the recommended behaviour manners during extraordinary events does not reach 80% of correct response success´ , and Hypothesis No. 2, ´Social service provider staff education leads to an improvement in the current situation of behaviour manners during extraordinary events´. To fulfill this aim, a research survey was created, which I personally carried out in 4 social service providers, fulfilling the following criteria: the social service provider had to provide a ´stay´ form, handicapped individuals had to stay there´, and the place had to be located in the region of South Bohemia. The results were being evaluated via graphics processed in Microsoft Excel Word 2007 programme. To evaluate Hypothesis No. 2 I created an educative material in an e-learning form, containing 5 thematic areas: protection of population, fire, floods, chemical substances, and radio-active substances. I introduced this educative material to the social service provider staff, and subsequently I carried out a second round of interview survey. In the results of this work I was comparing the staff´s responses before the implemented educative programme, and after. The results of my research work have proven that the less staff takes part in education on protection of population, the less individuals are introduced to the recommended manners of behaviour during extraordinary events. The educative programme has brought valuable information for the social service provider staff. An improvement was missing in certain responses, but in my opinion, this is due to an extremely expert or thematic area of questions. A significant improvement was noticed in the second round of questionnaire survey after implementing the educative programme. Pospíšil, David ; Bareš, Pavel (advisor) ; Čabanová, Bohumila (referee)
Master Thesis 2013 David Pospíšil Abstract: The subject of this master thesis is to analyze the current state of the mid- term planning of social services at regional level. This master thesis also describes the historical context of community planning, social services and their financing system. In this thesis there are applied methods as problem and objectives tree and multi-criteria evaluation of mid-term plans of social services development at the regional level, analysis and study of current legal standards related to this issue and questionnaire survey with representatives of the regions and the Ministry of Labour and Social Affairs. This thesis deals with the mid-term planning of social services in relation to the present legal anchor in Czech legislation. Mid-term planning of social services is based on the principle of subsidiarity. The whole process should be as open to the public and especially other immediate stakeholders as to providers or users of social services. The planning process is not entirely new tool for decision-making and the development of strategies. It appears there are many activities and areas that are not well interconnected. For example, the process of financing social services, which is conducted partly at the regional and partly on the state level. Within the planning...
